Five stars for sales team, The sales side was amazing, but unfortunately the after sales was extremely poor and totally cancelled the good experience with the sales, if there were negative stars I would highly go for a -10.

Lack of communication, emails being ignored and communication was appalling, when chased on phone calls by me or email, the attitude I got from the team was poor and disgraceful. We are still getting nowhere, months later!!!

If you go for the amazing sales team in Sheldon, be prepared to deal with the after sales, emotionally and mentally!!

I recenlty used Burchell edwards Shirley on my property sale after using the sheldon branch in the past which was a positive experience. However shirley branch was terrible, initially they were good but once my property was listed and viewing started the process was awful. No communication regarding the viewings without me chasing and even had to go into branch to get feedback as i was getting nowhere fast. Ended up selling with them but only after pushing the team to do weekend viewings as they wanted me to do them midweek. I would never recommend this branch in my experience the worst agent ive ever dealt with.

I put in an offer on the above property via Burchell Edwards and as far as I was concerned, the viewing with them was conducting professionally. We were interested in the property and put in our offer to purchase. We proceeded to arrange our mortgage via our own broker but were advised by Burchell Edwards to utilize their in-house broker as he would be quicker and offered better rates.
It was soon apparent that Burchell Edwards have a policy of sucking as much money as possible from potential purchasers by asking them take on their full package including their broker who was very incompetent and did not fulfil his appointments with us to arrange the required mortgage. Their in-house broker was charging us £749, whereas my own broker was only charging £199.
In addition they were repeatedely telling me the wrong amount of stamp duty I was liable for, when I questioned both the manager and broker, they both told me I was wrong even thogh I informed them at that stage that should I be liable for the higher amount of stamp duty, I would not be able to afford the property.
Burchell Edwards told me in plain words that’s should I not use their in house broker, they would not process the sale to me.
they were aggressively pushing us to use them and it was to no avail and very unprofessional.
I was told by my own broker that this was an illiegal stance conducted by Burchell Edwards and I should take all appropriate legal action against them.
When I gave Burchell Edwards an opportunity to rectify this error, they appointed another broker, who promptly took payment for the brokering fee.
As our purchaser fell through for various reasons, not least due the doubling of the stamp duty liability, we were unable to proceed with the purchase.
The period between making the payment and our circustances changing was probably less than a week.
I asked our broker that the purchase had fallen through in good faith and could the refund the broker fee which we were no longer using, but they refused.
I appealed to the broker over several weeks however to date a refund has not been forthcoming.
I have advised them that I would share my honest opinion of my experience with them on social media unless they refunded me my money
I am now looking for a full refund from Burchell Edwards failing which I will have no other option but to take whatever action is necessary to get return of the funds.
I am happy to remove all my feedback left on social media should they refund my money

Selling s property is a challenge but when you have a caring and helpful estate agent to guide you through the process, it lightens the load.

All the staff were excellent. My move was complicated as a chain of 6. I felt informed all the way, the staff were very empathetic and explained all the solicitors technical terms to me very well. I bought from Burchell Edwards. Next time I will definately sell with them!!

Put our property on the market for sale with Burchell Edward's at Eastwood Nottingham. They had a set of keys, arranged all the viewings and accompanied all the viewings. Kept us in touch all the time with what was going on regarding the different offers from prospective buyers. Found us a buyer, felt like nothing was too much trouble. Acted as a liaison between us and the buyer. We're very pleased with the service.

Rented a house via Burchell Edwards Solihull.. and had a wonderful experience. Swift from initial enquiry - viewing - all referencing and paperwork. All done and dusted within 7 days! No faff, with Amanda and Jess being impeccable throughout the process. Our referencing wasn't easy being two self employed persons, but the paperwork was put across and Amanda detailed everything we needed, and it was all approved. Keys and paperwork handed over, and we are away. Would reccomend to all either as a landlord or tenant, as i tried a number of other agencies during this process and didn't have similar experience elsewhere!

As a former tenant of two years, please do not use this letting agency to rent a property!! If I could have given zero stars, trust me, I would have.
Absolutely awful customer service from when we first started to look at properties from Adam and Elyse, who we had to deal with in February 2020. Adam who I believe was the lettings manager at the time, was very rude to our heavily pregnant Sister-In-Law who lived in the area and very kindly said she would view the property on our behalf as we had to go back home to Essex. Elyse never even bothered to turned up to said viewing or even inform our SIL.
Elyse seemed to know very little information on a property we first went to view and she just wasn't very helpful in general. We were doing a big move from Essex to Derbyshire and weren't able to view the property we did end up with. We were told a facetime with herself would be done or up-to-date pictures sent over, neither happened even after chasing. We were also told the property would be cleaned beforehand, this ended up being the previous tenant and they must have been blind because the bottles of half empty alcohol, uncooked rice, rubbish and MOULD left in cupboards was an absolute joke.
Also Olivia Perchard and Alisya Cowley who we have had the unfortunate pleasure of having to speak to during our time of trying to move from the property and searching for a new one these last few months, has been an experience I don't recommend. From having a home check done by Alisya and saying everything is absolutely fine (I have an email to confirm this), speaking to Olivia as new viewings of the property had to be held and once again having to inform Burchell Edwards that we have a severe case of mould throughout the whole property and being told they'd report this again and to just clean as much as possible before anyone new viewed the property (basically just hide the problem instead of resolving it). We had been reporting everything through their online portal for the last two years, had at least six engineers out that all told us similar repairs needed to be done and never saw any of them again. Now I know it's down to the landlord to accept repairs, but for Olivia to act like that's the first they had ever heard of it when we were due to hand the keys back in less than a month was madness.
We also had a leaky immersion heater, no heating and a fence panel down for the last two, almost three weeks we were living in the property. We reported that the immersion heater was leaking on 17/02/22, that a fence panel was down (due to storm Eunice) on 18/02/22 and that we had no heating on 21/02/22. No engineers were sent out before we handed the keys back to the letting agents on 05/03/22. The only contact we had was via text to say that someone would be in touch and we never heard anything again.
Olivia and Alisya were just the most incompetent letting agents I have ever spoken to or communicated with via email, especially when it came to trying to view properties with Burchell Edwards or just to find out whether a property took pets. The only time they're hot on your tail to speak to you is when it concerned them and they needed you for something, calling my other half twice a day every day for five days, even though he works full-time and not able to use his phone whilst at work. But not bothering to contact myself when they knew I would be available to speak to.
All in all, renting with Burchell Edwards has been a shambles from start to finish and I would highly recommend you steer clear, as they all seem to be very young, severely under trained, unprofessional and lacking any sort of customer service skills.
I know I won't ever get a response from Burchell Edwards as they won't care about what one tenant has to say about them. I'm putting this on here in the hopes that anyone thinking about potentially renting from them will read this and use somewhere else instead.

From start to finish (getting our keys) we had the lovely Bryony helping us out all the way through it. We finally got our keys and are moving into our home! Absolutely brilliant service. Couldn't be happier!

The first time I went into burchell edwards, the staff were very polite and welcoming. Me and my partner spoke with Alisha who showed us round some of their properties and Emily helped us with final details of our application to rent our home.
