We had the Barnsley chops last night….lovely size and delicious. I have no doubt the pork we shall have today will be of the same quality. I will be shopping here regularly in future, knocks spots off the supermarkets….even the posh ones!

Great product (in this case rib cap burgers) and easy ordering.

Price is decent, I just wish I lived closer so that I didn't have to add a £10 delivery fee.

Without a doubt the best beef around. Ribeye steak and grass fed beef mince are incredible. Ox liver incredible too. Sausages are super healthy, no crap added like all the packaged garbage from supermarkets (and occasionally some butchers). Rib cap burgers fantastic too. Chicken fabulous. I'm working my way through other meats from this super place. I travel over 30 minutes to get my meat from this brilliant butchers because its the best around. And that is despite the fact that the next best butchers around is on my doorstep and is owned by a good friend of mine!

I had no trouble ordering a birthday present for my brother-in-law. A steak makes for an excellent gift, and the quality was outstanding.

My neighbour is a regular customer and recommended Farrells for quality. My first visit was 23rd Dec, I purchased a 3 kg Topside of beef, sausages and streaky bacon. Certainly not disappointed and such a pleasant change from pork at Christmas. Cooking time was
1 .75 hrs. Was it tender? well my mother is 93 and didn't have any problems with the beef or streaky bacon. Today is the 5th January and I have just sampled some of the thinly sliced pink beef that I froze in cling film, cooked roast beef freezes well. I will certainly return, lots more to try out.

My order was dealt with efficiently and the packaging was excellent but the important thing was the quality of the beef (45 day dry aged rib of beef roast for Christmas Dinner). This was, without doubt, the best beef I have ever tasted. Utterly delicious.

About as good as a butchers can get really. Super knowledgeable and if you manage to ask something they've never been asked before they'll not stop until they've got your answer. Greats guys and gals as well.

I have been to the farm shop site, sadly not the high street one - yet!!
I am obsessed with good quality meat, I’ve visited almost every butcher in the north west. This place is magical!!
I am extremely picky about the heritage, diet and general lifestyle of the animals. Here they can tell you exactly where the meat had been raised, what it’s been fed and how it’s been killed. Which for me is comforting. The knowledge these guys had was brilliant. I think the guy I interacted with was Sam? We chatted about the meat and its potential cooking plans. It was a brilliant butchers experience!
Now onto the meat. The depth of flavour from the beef and the grass fed fat! Great quality meat. Wonderful buttery flavours.
I’m a pork woman really - the chops were everything I needed dry aged and a great line of fat. The flavour I can only describe as old school pork! Wonderful!
I had an incredible experience at this butchers. If I lived closer I’d be there every week!
Honestly I’m a heavily seasoned, some say obsessive butchers / meat lover, I know my places. And this one is really really great!!

There’s probably not enough space to sing my praise for the whole butcher Farrell crew. I’ve been buying my meat here exclusively for the past 4 years, no longer considering anywhere else for meat. The staff are always welcoming, friendly, and knowledgeable. If they don’t have what I’m looking for they jump to accommodate. Beyond the customer service, this is hands down the best meat you’ll ever get. Don’t just take it from me, every person we purchase steaks for as birthday gifts agree. As someone who always ate a steak with sauce…. I now actually love THE STEAK sans sauce. I feel so much happier feeding my children sausages and meats from butcher Farrell instead of the big box shops where I can’t guarantee quality. Anyone in proximity is lucky to have such a butcher nearby. If you haven’t checked them out, you won’t be disappointed.

This is the third time that we have bought meat from farrells.
The first 2 times from the farm shop.
Today we purchased from the Ormskirk shop.
The member of staff informed me when asked if the meat they sell was halal ,
that over 80% of meat sold in the uk was halal!!
Including chicken in their shop.
I find this absolutely outrageous that it isn't advertised as such.
My son spent £37 .
I have in my 2 previous visits spent over £100
I can assure you I will not be back.

It should be advertised if the product is halal..
