I had a viewing at a property earlier this week and met Sophie Roberts who showed me around. She was very polite, friendly and knowledgeable about the property and the area. 😊

Can’t believe this company they are supposed to be in the business of selling house but seem more interested in ticking boxes. Due to their arrogant attitude I lost a house I was purchasing, the apology I was given does not change this. Buying my council house, valued last year at 145,00. Was ill and did not complete sale in time, so had to have a fresh valuation. Now valued at 165,00. Did properties increase by 15 percent in 12 months?????Gross incompetence. I think this estate agent makes up its own rules.

I have read quite a few very negative reviews for BJB and in the past I would agree with the all. But we personally dealt with the Northwich office, David Thompson branch manager was excellent. Helped us out with viewings and kept regular contact, keeping us up to date with new listings etc. Unfortunately the property we are purchasing is with another estate agent. But David is a really professional in his approach and hope that reviews in the future will reflect this.

Absolutely appalling service from a company that you would have thought placed a little more importance on customer service.

Complaint to both the agent and the management team and not even the courtesy of a response.
In a market where your not the only Estate Agent in town, I'd certainly be keeping well away

I'd forgotten how challenging it can be to complete a house purchase but we were very grateful for the support provided by both Cliona and James throughout the process

very poor service ,never return calls, that is if someone answers the phone in the first place.
Worst service ever, only give excuses and no actions.
Please don't use them!

Very pleased with the service I have received from BJB in Northwich, Dave and staff have always been accommadating nothing to much trouble. Dave has kept me informed all of the time, very pleased with the communication and services I would definitely recommend if you have any thoughts of moving.

My experience with the Hanley, Stoke-on-Trent branch. If you are a landlord, please, please, please don't rent your house through this company. You will pay them for doing absolutely nothing! If I had to tell you all the problems I've had with this company and their incompetence I would need to write an essay. Good luck if you take this lightly. You have been told!!!!

Misuse of personal data.

Messaged them asking if a property was still for sale. they didnt bother getting back to me but did put my email on there marketing adds witch i didnt give them permission to do.

There is something really wrong with a company that makes commission on sales yet refuses to communicate with prospective buyers when offers are submitted. I offered on a particular property and chased and chased for two weeks. I was finally told the property went to best and final bids but I was never contacted. I put that down to a simple communication issue and moved on. Second property i put an offer in which was before xmas and I am still awaiting feedback on the offer. I chased a couple of times and told “someone will call me back. Maybe they are waiting for a sign from god :-)
Anyone thinking of listing with this company be careful, if I see a property that I like which I just did, if its with BJB i dont even bother enquiring now

Omg why didn't we read these reviews before instructing them!!
This could literally be war and peace but I'll try to keep it short.
They started a bidding war without our permission that backfired badly when the buyer couldn't afford it.

Before this we had a perfectly good buyer who they stopped responding to and they physically came and knocked our door to ask why we wouldn't sell to them!!

They get rid of staff it seems on a daily basis as you never deal with same person twice.

After the debacle of the bidding war, another newbie took over and told us he has 15 people waiting to buy our house and it would be sold by the weekend, guess what, not 1 viewing did he produce 🤣

Totally incompetent and lie through their teeth. AVOID

Nearly 5 years in the property and still have numerous issues wrong including a boiler that has never worked correctly - they sent someone around numerous times and they say they need a part for the boiler, then they disappear. Still no fence - they get the cheapest workmen in possible so the issues are never properly resolved. Piss poor.

Never called back - lady was quite rude and found patronising when asking questions and situation. Asked to arrange a viewing with suggested dates to put to vendor and was never contacted again. Would avoid.

Do not trust

They only work to help people from winsford, if you’re an outsider you’ll seriously regret buying in this town , Everyone is related and they hate outsiders and they make it very clear.
This estate agent profits off making you buy and forcing a sale for less ! Avoid this town avoid this agent

We moved into a property on the 8th November, reported maintenances issues straight away (windows not closing, faulty shower, door handles faulty). We called Butter John Bee Crewe multiple times to chase this up and was passed onto the property managers each time (Lacy and Ben) both said they would sort this asap every time and call back. Each time we have not had a call back from either them and had to re chase this up. We’ve now lived in this rented property for almost 5 weeks, the windows were only just fixed last week and everything not fixed yet. When speaking to the contractors who came out to fix the windows, they had said they’d only been made aware of the issue a few days prior despite us reporting them weeks before. The service and attitude of property management is not great at all. We are paying for a service each month and we’re not getting it, this is absolute ridiculous and I wouldn’t recommend anyone to go with this estate agents when looking for somewhere to rent.

Possible the worst estate agent in the land. Worked for them and would strongly recommend other agents for both a career path and to see your home. Stay away from them and sister companies

Just thought I’d mention what fantastic service I received from Celine Hollinshead when she came to value our house .

She answered all of our questions & took the time to explain anything I didn’t quite understand there wasn’t a rush at all .

Chloe was very friendly, polite, and very professional. She is a very good listener and answered all the questions we had, and was always looking for the fastest and the best solution. She went that extra mile to help us, including walking in the snow. We were very impressed with her work ethic and professionalism.

Awful company. Overpaid my last months rent in my property. Alerted them straight away and was told they would look out for it and send it back as soon as it came in at the end of the day. 5 days later still wasn't back so I chased again. The woman on the phone says they actually didn't have my bank details and to email them. The email address she provided didn't even work! It is now 20 days since and I have chased multiple times only to be told it will be sent and accounts have been told the urgency, still everyday it is missed from their payroll. I just want my money back now! It would appear they like to withhold people's money from them. It is very worrying that an accounts department struggle to make even a bacs payment! Certainly not equipped to deal with large fees and houses in my opinion so would run for the hills if anyone was thinking of going with them! I feel for Claire who has kept chasing for me and getting nowhere, as she is the only one in the company who has bothered to even get back to me or chase. They have left me at the point now where I am assuming they are refusing to send me my money and will now have to take further action to retrieve it. Complaint will also be made to the ombudsman.
