This is not a Canadian Company, they are based in the US. Their customer service is not great, the agent hung up on me when I was challenging her on the transparency of their ships in 3 days statement on their website. In fact, you can't get a live operator unless you pretend you are placing a new order. If you live in Canada and want it within 10 days or want good customer service don't order from this company and don't get fooled like I did thinking they were Canadian

I had an issue with a back ordered item and that issue was resolved to my satisfaction. Special mention to Johanna in customer care, who responded quickly to emails and addressed my issue.

Canada Lighting Services is the best ever!!!

I used Canada Lighting Services for a lamp I saw and wanted. I was told it had been delivered but I had just moved and didn’t realize I had forgotten to update mailing. I was in a tizzy because it was a months groceries for me so unfortunately I blamed CLS. I was wrong but CLS set me up with new lamp. I am thrilled. This goes beyond best customer service ever!!! My most sincere thanks for your support .. you have been awesome and a perfect ending for me. Thank you.

This company is a hoax

This company is a hoax. Billed me in USD for a new fan and then emailed saying they don't have it and refunded. However, was in CAD so I lost out on $. Addressed this with them online and they reversed and I lost out on even more $ and. They are very much a hoax. Don't buy from them.

Agent Jhonjon was excellent

Agent Jhonjon was excellent. He listened attentively and tried to find a solution to the delivery problem caused by Purolator (the only carrier I know of that doesn't deliver to my home in my area). This becomes a major issue when the packages are heavy. I strongly suggest that Canada Lightning no longer do business with them. Merci

Purchased a light fixture

Purchased a light fixture. Cancelled/discontinued but on the site it says it's just out of stock and will take 3-4 weeks. I can still add the "discontinued" product in my cart and order it but I wouldn't get my sale price. I emailed about the conflicting information, got a copy and paste response of the same email notice I received from the automated system. They still charged my card for that amount in USD despite the discontinued notice was given before the charge posted to my account. Now if they refund, I'll be given back less due to the USD vs CAD conversion. I have yet to receive a refund, and no response. Stay away from this vendor for their Canada site and US based site (1StopLighting).

We’re very sorry for the frustration and disappointment caused by this experience.

After the order was placed, the warehouse confirmed the item had unfortunately been discontinued. Our team communicated this promptly once confirmed and processed the cancellation/refund right away.

Because the payment had already moved past the authorization stage, the transaction could not simply be voided and instead had to be refunded to the original payment method.

We completely understand how frustrating this situation was and sincerely apologize for the inconvenience.

Jhonjon Vestido is the most amazing person I've had the privilege of working with in a long time. He personally assisted this whole transaction and made of it a breeze. They make it impossible for you to cancel your order

I tried to cancel this order within 15mins of placing it when I saw that something was very fishy about it. The merchant charged me in USD dollars. The website is called CanadaLighting Experts and they claimed that they were Canada’s #1 shop for residential lighting. I am very careful with online purchases and this site looked legitimate. After the transaction went through, I realized that they had charged my in USD. I did some digging and realized that they were actually a US company. I immediately tried to cancel, but every link on their website to cancel was broken. I sent an e-mail and a few days later got a response from a completely different company name – Belamie Commerce. I have a huge e-mail exchange with a person called Jhonjon Vestido who over a few days said that the systems were limited and it was not easy to cancel and they were still waiting on a shipment cancellation confirmation. Then today, April 3, he tells “opps, the shipment went out” but don’t worry I did a return to sender and it is only a 25% restocking fee. I nearly lost my mind. This company should not be allowed to exist. It is a complete fraud.

To clarify, your order was placed on March 29th over the weekend. Our team processes requests during business hours, so your cancellation request was received and submitted on March 30th, the next business day. By that time, the order had already progressed too far in processing to guarantee a cancellation.

Once the shipment was in transit, we proactively requested a return to sender to prevent delivery. We also reduced the return fees to 10% as a courtesy to help minimize the impact.

We do want to assure you that we are a legitimate U.S.-based company, and all pricing is shown in USD prior to checkout.

Lastly, we always strive to assist respectfully and ask the same in return for our team. We’re here to help and work toward solutions whenever possible.

Excellent Customer Service

Ordering was very easy, wrong items received. Customer Service Johanna was excellent to deal with, she even called me back to update me of the order status and ensured me everything will be alright. Thank you for being so kind and helpful.

folks this is a scam company

folks this is a scam company. No where in the transaction does it indicate USD. They charge you in US dollars and you only find out when you get your credit card statement. They will tell you after the fact it’s in the fine print. I have screenshots of all transactions and receipts. No indication of USD. If they agree to a refund, shipping is on your dollar back to the states. THis is a US company with a website called Canada Lighting. Steer clear. You have no recourse as they are in the states. After a lot of correspondence, they offered me $50 or I could send it back on my expense. I contacted Canada post and it would have been $100 for me to send back to the US. There is thousands of similar 1 out of 5 reviews for this very reason across multiple review platforms including some people spending 20k only to find out it’s 28k after conversion.

NOT A CANADIAN COMPANY. Wish I had read the reviews prior to ordering. They claim to be transparent about being a U.S. company but the maple leaf pictures/logos and “Canada” plastered all over their web site is deceptive. They also claim they are transparent with their prices being in USD. I still cannot find anywhere in the ordering process that states USD and like others you only realize this when you check your credit card statement (which = +40% for my order). What really stings is I supported a US company which I am currently trying to avoid if at all possible. Only positive was they met their delivery timelines. So buyer beware I guess, and my bad for interpreting Canada Canada Canada and maple leaf maple leaf maple leaf to be related to a Canadian company. If you want to be a Canadian company, come on over, we welcome all (except that one guy).

Extremely disappointed with this…

Extremely disappointed with this purchase. The company gives the impression that it is Canadian, which is misleading as the products ship from the U.S.

I ordered two items but only one arrived. The second item has been stuck in Pennsylvania with no delivery update. When I requested a refund for the undelivered item, customer service refused and simply stated that they could not issue a refund because the item had already shipped.

Very frustrating experience and poor customer support. I would not recommend buying from this company.

Misleading information from Canadalightingexperts…

I ordered from Canadalightingexperts and it was not clear that pricing was is US dollars. When I saw the charge on my credit card later that afternoon I immediately website to cancel the order. The company did not respond and instead I received “ your order has shipped notice”. While I have no complaints about the product you website is misleading and your customer service non-existent. I will not be ordering from you again.
