I'm launching a brand new podcast and had no idea where to start (how many times have you heard that before?...). I'd heard Captivate mentioned several times by podcasters but, truth is, Captivate is just one among MANY options for hosting services these days. It seemed that the more I researched, the more options I discovered — which only added to my paralysis. I just wanted to start my podcast, y'know?
Well, get this:
After making a few "help me, I'm desperately confused" posts in online podcasting forums, a rep from Captivate actually reached out to ME and offered really helpful and genuine advice! No other hosting service did that. So I signed up for a free trial to poke around the features they offer, and I was sold. They’ve thought of everything + anything podcasters need to help their show succeed.
But that’s only part of what impressed me...
For a few years I managed the customer service/support staff for a web-based company that provides a similar online interactive product. I felt confident that we gave our clients a genuine, meaningful, and valuable experience (which we did!). But after becoming a Captivate customer, I’m just blown away. Every one of my questions has been answered quickly & thoroughly. The Captivate reps I’ve been working with (Judy and Danny) continue to follow up on all my projects and volunteer insanely useful resources. Analytics, step-by-step instructions, tutorials, tips, you name it. They know their product inside + out and they're ready to help you win.
Truly thought I'd seen it all in the world of online support chats, FAQs, and user-friendly interfaces. But Captivate takes the cake.

Judy, from Customer Service was INCREDIBLY helpful to me in my transition from Anchor to Captivate. I had several problems in the transition and she was VERY patient and helped me along every step....even going above and beyond to help me....I'm VERY technology challenged!!
Anyway, she was absolutely amazing and I don't even need my free week....her expertise and kindness won me and my podcast will be on Captivate!!

These guys make my life so much easier. I love that they handle all things podcast for me, guest scheduling, episode uploading, distribution, and all the new features that they add and I think I will never use, I definitely end up using at some point. I also switched to using their custom website after having tried... and failed to make my own. Seriously, life saver!

Switched over from a host I loved (due to pricing). I was nervous about the switch, but support was so helpful and answered questions quickly. Excellent prices, easy to use interface, and so many features. While I loved the host I was using, I do not regret the move at all. Captivate is great! Especially if you have more than 1 podcast.

I never got to try it because we had trouble transferring my current episodes from Podbean because of artwork sizing. The chat was zero help because responses take up to an hour and I never have an hour to sit and wait for responses. When i asked if i could hop on the phone with someone to figure it out, they said that's not possible. So I didn't want to pay for a monthly service when I couldn't get assistance in the set up process.

I hesitated to move my podcast to Captivate.fm but I wish I hadn't waited for a second. Captivate makes your life as a podcaster so much easier. They really think of everything from guest bookings to integrations. And their customer service is first class.

I switched to Captivate due to some dishonest business practices from my previous podcast host. I was BLOWN AWAY by what I found when I migrated my podcast over.
Not only was Captivate's customer service team amazing and helpful, but the platform itself is incredible - so much more than I was expecting. Captivate goes beyond the basics of podcast hosting and elevates dynamic content insertion, monetization opportunities, analytics, and even podcast network hosting! I never imagined I could be this happy with a podcast hosting company, but Captivate continues to surprise and delight me and I anticipate being a customer for years to come.

One of the best and easiest Podcast setup experience I've had. Good technical support team to help resolve issues. The Wordpress plugin works very smoothly with external web sites. They also have a sleek web site which they provide for free.
The model around unlimited podcasts and only charging based on number of views is perfect to play around different ideas.

Great Service, especially for a new podcaster.
The site provides you with a lot of services you’d have to pay extra for on other hosting platforms.
Only reason this isn’t 5 stars is because the UI can be a little wonky in spots but it’s mostly well organized!

UPDATE: We have been able to resolve the issue internally. I did receive a direct message from the CEO as well. - Our agency has been trying to reach the support team for weeks with ZERO response. There is no phone # on file and starting to question the legitimacy of this platform.
