Ordered from these guys back in May for…

Ordered from these guys back in May for the black and white set. Not received anything as of yet. Tried calling - no answer. Tried Emailing - no answer. At this point I want to cancel my order and get my money back but really doubt that is even going to happen at this point. Avoid this company at all costs don’t buy from here

🚨 Waste of time and money. AVOID 🚨

Ordered from these guys back in May for the black and white set. Not received anything as of yet. Tried calling - no answer. Tried Emailing - no answer. At this point I want to cancel my order and get my money back but really doubt that is even going to happen at this point. Avoid this company like the plague.

Good!

I can respect that he is trying is best, and as a one man team that is all you can ask from him. I cannot understand all the hate that he is recieving at this moment as his website is relatively new and as stated he is a one man team. Nathan has been very nice and has had a very quick response time to all my emails.

Room for improvement

Pre-order of black bolt & white flair ETB with this store back in may, got the products late understandably as there is one guy Nathan running the show.

Got my products delivered today only to open the box to find there was no bubble wrap or any protection at all, white flair had a rip in the seal and my black bolt is dented on the corner but this could be from mishandling from delivery service.
This store can definitely do with more staff to deal with high demand and better quality control.

Disappointing Experience

Placed an early preorder and received no communication in the lead up to release, so I expected it to ship on or before launch day. A week after release, still nothing. No emails, no updates, no announcements about delays. I contacted them for an update, and another week later, I still haven't received a reply.

If you're overwhelmed or accidentally overselling, stop taking preorders. If you need customers' money to fund orders from distribution, be more realistic about your allocation. And if you're overselling on purpose just to secure cash flow, that's not a smart business model.

The About Us page sounds great, but in my experience, it's just empty words.

Update: The business tried to have this review removed, but Trustpilot disagreed. An apology or explanation would have gone a lot further.

Incredible!!

Despite some issues in shipping time due to factors outside of his control, Nathan has been nothing but lovely.

I emailed him asking for an ETA and he replied within about 30 minutes - super responsive! Even when I followed up, he was quick to reply and was very kind and lovely in both emails he sent me, going above and beyond to even offer to delay shipping or change address for me while I was away from home.

I have nothing but respect for him and how he runs his business - he has been absolutely incredible (especially during such a stressful time with such big drops)!

Keep doing what you're doing, Nathan :) You got this!

Exceptional Customer Service

I can only speak on my personal experience of ordering from this place and from what happened throughout my order process has lead me to leave this review.

I ordered 3 ETBs from Card Mart back when the set was not officially released so these were preorders, slightly above rrp but when you add the cost of delivery and insurance from other places it almost runs identical. As expected, this was a massive drop from Pokemon so I expected a slight delay in the product getting to me especially due to the quantity I have seen others ordering.

A couple of days had past since the official release had come out so I emailed politely asking for an update on my order. The same day, the owner got back to me with a response being honest and transparent about the issues they were having with stock, suppliers pulling out and the sheer demand for this set in general.

The owner explained the struggles they were facing due to the aforementioned reasons and was very apologetic about the whole situation. There were a few errors that I had made in my order which resulted in ME asking to cancel the order and change some things which was entirely my fault. The owner then sent me a personal email saying that they could hold some of the stock until my refund was processed so I didn’t pay “twice” while waiting for the refund to hit my bank. They also set the order up as a custom invoice as to not make sure any more product was scalped by bots and resellers.

It’s these little pieces of knowledge such as knowing about bots and resellers which makes the buying processes so much easier. The owner had clearly spent a lot of time in the market and their expertise was unmatched when I was asking all sorts of questions.

Having run parts of a small business myself, I completely understand that things can go wrong but this is all part of the growing process. It really is upsetting to read some of the negative reviews on here because what I’m seeing is a small business trying to succeed in a very competitive market.

On a more personal note to the owner, I want to let you know that you are doing great, I know the long hours are tiring, the hateful messages can be overwhelming but from what I’ve seen from myself and others in the community, is that you’re putting the smiles on kids faces who are struggling to get product, helping collectors chase their dream cards and most importantly, you’re helping support the community with clear and honest information. Keep going. Don’t give up.

Avoid at all costs

Avoid at all costs.

Preordered Destined Rivals back in April. Received an email 2 weeks after release day saying they were having some issues with their distribution - OK, fine things happen.

I emailed a very simple request recently to ask the status of my order - and received a very strange, defensive email in response. The order was then randomly cancelled without any reason or further communication.

I understand they’re a small and new shop but it takes less than a minute to email customers who clearly are not valued at all.

Like many new TCG stores they appear to be offering preorders without confirmation of allocation from suppliers as (looking at other reviews from people in the same situation) they seem to have held onto many people’s money for months and then cancel without any kind of reasoning or apology. For me, they held onto my money for nearly 4 months.

Just do yourself a favour and give your business to a shop that values your custom. It’s really not worth it.

Amazing

Man, this shop is amazing. For a locally owned-business it delivered my Destined Rivals so fast the preorders. I have not been paid or incentivized to make this review. It is not a scam and they do refund just wait and have patience. Other reviewers are fake bots.

Scam or incompetence? Avoid either way

I placed a pre-order on July 2nd, with the product due to be shipped mid July. Since placing the order I’ve received no communication to advise of any delays, nor have I had a response to any of the emails I’ve sent trying to find out what’s going on. I’m left without the product and without my money. AVOID.

Orders delayed and Cancelled

Made a pre-order in May, despite being patient and seeing messages on their website about the delay, I reached out with an email. No response but have had my order randomly cancelled with no further explanation.
Judging by other reviews left today it seems people who have chased their orders have had them cancelled in response.
Avoid and save yourself the effort

Shocking service all round

Shocking service all round. As many others have stated. Preordered products months ago. Release date came and went, no updates at all. Reached out multiple times, no reply and now have randomly had the items cancelled. No explanation at all. Terrible. Offering preorders on products they don’t know they will actually get. Do not use

An unfunny clown running a unkempt circus.

Ordered from Nathan twice in the past and have an active preorder for Mega Evolutions with him.

He's held hostage half a thousand pounds since March in two preorders that he never shipped and the only correspondence I can get out of him is an autoreply chatGPT response ensuring it would be shipped mid July.

Well now it's the 30th and I have nothing, his phone is permanently off and he doesn't respond to emails.

Absolutely useless customer service, the worst i've experienced in 20 years buying and selling online.

Avoid. Avoid. Avoid.

Slow communications

Sold above rrp. Did not ship the items at release (may have been distributor issues). I was able to cancel my orders but waited over a week for a response to any of my 3 emails. They did come good when they did finally get back to me.

Had an issue with my preorder but the team got back to me and sorted everything out. Great service in the end – will definitely be buying from them again!

On Destined Rivals - we emailed all customers who were still awaiting orders last month advising that the last of our stock was being delivered mid-July after one of our suppliers let us down - you should have received this email. Within it, I outlined options for customers to cancel or retain orders.
