Have been road racing and training on CES 30 and 60mm rim brake wheels for 4 years now.

Compared to any other wheels I have used they are streets ahead, the 60mm for criteriums are outstanding and you feel the difference as you cut through wind and glide around bends at full speed. In the draft there is a noticeable difference in the effort you are putting in.

The 30mm are very solid, light and the ones I use most. Never had any issues and they are still straight as an arrow.

The braking surface is prefect and responds predictably to the pressure you apply giving me more confidence in a tight bunch or in fast wet conditions.

I have had 3 sizable crashes, one crash broke my Canyon into 3 pieces (RIP Canyon Evo) but the CES's were undamaged. The only time I had to repair one was when a pedal ended up in my wheel after a crash and damaged a few spokes. CES sent me out replacement spokes and I fitted them myself and the wheel was as good as new.

These wheels play hard and out perform.

Cant recommend them enough.

Onto the wheels, the quality is superb and provides real value for money. They run a wider profile than the old wheels I had been using and allowed me to run wider tubeless tyres for increased comfort and better rolling resistance.

I used the wheels in anger for the first time in a 50 mile time trial,found them to be a rapid and more comfortable setup than I was used to.

In summary, these are highly recommended wheels providing great performance at an amazing price. Can’t wait to continue using them next season!!

I bought a set of Draig 60/88 for my Dolan TT bike. Great looking set of wheels, really compliment the bike. I had a very quick turnaround on the wheels, took no time at all to have them delivered.

Definitely would recommend any wheelset from CES, quality set of wheels at an affordable price.

CES88 Wheelset and a CES Tri Spoke (Both Rim) In depth review: 1. Service and delivery. The communications between myself and CES were great, notifying me through the whole purchase process and quickly dealing with any concerns I had. Then they were hand built and shipped very swiftly. 2. Arrival/packaging. A very nice and sturdy protective box which can be reused for re-sell of old wheels. 3. Initial thoughts. Very light for deep section rims and loving the eye-catching CES design. A nice and shiny orange freehub looks the part too. These wheels are lighter and also run much better stock hubs than their UK competitors at similar price ranges. 4. After testing. These rim brake wheels are aerodynamically optimised for a 25mm tyre, which once fitted and on the roads, performed very well. TT bikes can feel twitchy at the best of times but after racing through some local lanes, the cornering and stability felt reassuring and steady. Running the rear 88 and front tri spoke out on the road, the acceleration and also the holding speed was exceptional and was flying along comfortably at 40kmph without too much effort. The hub doesn’t sound annoyingly noisy like some other wheels and the finish of the wheels are smooth and also robust. Final thoughts: these wheels feel and look the business. CES are a wicked business and offer a no-BS service. Just mega fast and robust handbuilt wheels. Which I feel are ready to take on any bike course out on the (bumpy) National and International PRO Triathlon circuit this season! Sam

When I first spoke to Joe in 2019 he and his team just amazing the got me sorted with top end wheels for my tt bike and they awesome wheels as gained confidence with TT bike I contacted Joe reference Rear Disc wheel which he built in record time for my race, Joe and team are the best out there is and will highly recommend them every single time to anyone looking race wheels, they’re customer service is the best nothing is to much trouble for them, they give a 100% all the time for their customers

I’ve had a pair of CES RC50DB for approaching 3 years and just over 20,000 km . I’ve changed the bearings once in that whole time . They are bomb proof wheels . Spoke tension is spot on . I’m around 90/95kg and not had a single snag . They hold the speed well when over 32kph . I will definitely be buying a new pair should this current pair wear out .

Purchased a set from the RC rim brake range. 60 front and 88 back. Can’t fault the service. I expressed a concern that the wheels wouldn’t get to me on time before doing an event but Joe emailed me back directly and informed me they would complete the build and get them sent out as quickly as possible. Sure enough, less than a week later they were sue to be delivered. I did have a slight issue getting the tyre bead to seat correctly. But after a quick email, Joe offered some advice and tips and I managed to do it successfully. Excellent service and so far the wheels are a dream to run on. However I am a little disappointed to learn they don’t really help me up climbs (probably not the fault of the wheels though). 5 stars is not enough!
