Worst company and product! I wouldn't even give it one star!
This is a scam. I ordered the Mandala doormat on January 29. On February 18th, a package arrived with the return address: Riley Hernandez 22122 S. MAIN street Carson, CA 90745. It looks NOTHING like the photograph. It is about 1/8 inch thick and doesn't even have the same or similar colors/pattern. No invoice, no return instructions were included.
Took more than 3 weeks for a PJ set to come, then wrong size was delivered and tag was ripped off the top. Currently they’re ignoring my request for a return slip and instead telling me I need to send a picture of how PJs fit. Thankfully my credit card company is refunding me so I don’t have to do the back and forth any longer. Oh, and this is after they initially charged me twice!
The order I placed came damaged. I followed up multiple times with customer support and it was clear there was nothing they were going to do about it. I asked for a refund and instead, they sent me another item that had been delivered 2 months prior. Do not trust this company. They are a scam.
DO NOT ORDER!!!! I ordered a clock that looked GORGEOUS in the photos, a nice big clock. 1 size. When I ordered it (over $200 originally but with a sale I paid $160) it came broken, cheap looking, and much smaller than the dimensions shown). I was in contact with someone named Anna so hoping they give me a refund otherwise I’m disputing the card on my CC)
Absolute joke!!!!!
The so-called cashmere sweater isn't even cashmere and i ordered an extra large to be oversized and it looks like it fits a barbie doll!!!!!
A total rip off!!!!!
DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS COMPANY.
Endless emails and no resolution on order shipment that did not arrive. No refund even though I paid for insurance. Red flag for all who dont want to waste their time and money.
BE WARNED - GO ELSEWHERE
This company is a fraud. I purchased a jumper which was suppose to be Cashmere. It is not!!! The jumper is such poor quality. It is not even wool! They will not refund my purchase and they want me to pay for postage. They are robbing thieves!! Have reported these scammers to American Express!!
Absolutely worst customer service. Took almost a month to receive shoes also. When the website says 5-16 days. Plus the shoes don’t even come close to fitting to size.
I waited from August 3 when I placed my order for two shirts until August 25 when the tracking site said it had delivered them to my front door. They never arrived. They were sent from China and had to go through customs in New York at JFK. Needless to say, I am not pleased. Customer service was polite and responded quickly to my email from the support page. But here's a tip. Don't order from an overseas company. I successfully cancelled my payments with my bank.
I ordered a pair of glasses from them because their website looked legit. Unfortunately, it turned into a huge disappointment.
After one week with no sign of my order being shipped and no useful tracking updates, I started to get worried. I found a review from another customer who had the same issue. They mentioned that the company ships from China without making it clear, and if you want a refund once the product arrives, you have to pay nearly the same amount as the product just to send it back.
To avoid that hassle, I reached out to CharlesFrancis directly after almost two weeks and asked for a refund upfront since my glasses hadn’t even shown up, and still hadn't been shipped. They told me they’d get back to me in a couple of weeks. That was over a month ago, and I’ve heard nothing since.
In short, I was scammed. The company hasn’t been responsive, and their tracking system is useless. I want others to know that ordering from them is risky and that I never even got my product or my money back. Stay away from this site.
Second order from this company first order good quality at a reasonable price. Made a second order because I was happy with the first. 2 sweaters for my wife with holes in both. My linen jacket poor quality. Company wants us$50 to return. My last order. Will give clothes to good will
Absolutely fantastic quality. I've shopped here THREE times, and always impressed.
Got some summer shirts from Charles Francis and they turned out pretty nice. Took em to the beach and got a couple compliments from my cousins. Would buy again.
CHARLES FRANCIS: BUYER BEWARE!!!
I recently bought a leather belt from Charles Frances. The entire experience has been a nightmare. A root canal would be more pleasant.
For starters, it took 16 days from order to finally being delivered. They used some unheard-of shipping outfit from CHINA, and when it gets to the US it is transferred to USPS, BUT no USPS tracking number is provided so the post office can do nothing. You are left in the dark for over two weeks. Nowhere on the Charles Frances website does it disclose that the product is being DROP-SHIPPED from CHINA!
After finally receiving the belt, the wrong size was sent. It was supposed to be a 38, but it was much larger. A size 38 is typically 45 ins. long, but the belt sent was 49 ins.
Upon examining the belt construction closer, I discovered that there was a critical flaw in the design and construction. At the buckle, the attachment is via a single rivet through one of the holes in the webbing of the belt, instead of being entirely enclosed in leather and double stitched, as most quality belts are constructed. That belt will fail at the buckle attach in no time. Therefore, I did not request an exchange. I requested a full refund.
From that point on I received the grand run-around. ‘Oh, you will have to return it to our fulfillment center IN CHINA!’ Cost to return quoted at $40-$50 ! Gee, pay $50 to receive a $50 refund? “Such a deal.” Again, nowhere on the Charles Frances website does it disclose that the product must be returned to CHINA!
The package return address was in Georgia, USA. I offered to return it to Georgia, but no dice.
“If you prefer a full refund, you’re welcome to return the belt to our international fulfillment center. Please note that return shipping costs (typically $40–$50 USD) would be at your expense, as stated in our Return & Exchange Policy.
📦 Return Address:
China, Zhejiang Province
Ningbo City, Yinzhou District
Shounan Street, No. 213
Taikang Middle Road 315100”
After some more word-salad go-around, I received this offer:
“I’ve personally brought your case to my manager. As a gesture of goodwill, we can offer a 30% refund on your current purchase. We truly wish we could offer more, but due to tight margins and operational costs, this would be our final offer under the circumstances. We genuinely appreciate your willingness to find a fair resolution.” So, they will give me $15 to disappear. Not a chance. I now really want a full refund.
In retrospect, I should have known not to buy from a vendor with no phone number. They insulate themselves nicely. Apparently, they are in UK. A kind description of the Charles Francis website would be “deceptive” at best and “fraudulent” at worst.
The internet is fraught with fly-by-night sellers of Chinese junk. Buyer Beware. I would not touch them with a 10 ft pole.
