Trash ,delivered to the wrong address customer service is a joke

Do not create a chownow account, deleting it will be an absolute nightmare.

Ordered from Basil Thai Uptown. Around 7:20 PM. Sure, with tip and fees extra $15, but worth it. Was a rough day at work. Umm…said food was delivered at 8:10 PM. Check front door…nothing. Call restaurant at 8:25 PM…they said still there.
Arghhh. Don’t take my order ChowNow if you can’t fulfill your obligation. Customer service said would refund my money. Did the next day. Still / will avoid using them. I was ‘hangry’ for sure. Will go pick up myself next time.

The restaurant only received around 10 orders a month and got charge for $242.80 a month for their stupid service hard to make any changes. Just found out and never again. This chownow business should be out of business soon. Money stealer.

Not sure what these restaurants using chow now are thinking, but this company is awful. I’ve tried to use them twice now. The first time they quoted me a two hour delivery on something that I could’ve picked up in about 20 minutes tonight. The pizza that they deliver was cold and the driver had held the box on an angle so it destroyed half the pizza as the pizza slices were smashed up against the box so of course you called the restaurant they take no accountability for it because it’s not them. Customer service for now is helpful but this is a disaster.

ChowNow is the WORST! I ordered from Basil Thai - and they only deliver with ChowNow- and the Pad Thai delivered had no shrimp so obviously I got someone else’s order. Considering they charge $25 for it, it having no shrimp means I paid double for the plain chicken pad thai, which I didn’t order. I immediately contacted ChowNow just like you do with DoorDash but ChowNow waited over a day to respond and what was their response?? Call the restaurant. WTH?? How does THAT fix anything?? ChowNow blows. DoorDash isn’t always great but WAY better than this garbage company.

Every company I have asked to delete my data usually complies. Except ChowNow. They claim because I do not live in California, they cannot delete it. Everywhere can delete it just fine. Why not here??

Why is Chow Now partnering with Rakutan offering a coupon to install a desktop app (Malware?). Rakutan purchased Buy.com who is known for sneaky charges. Very shady offer. Why would anyone agree to install a Trojan Horse App on their computer?

I was misled using chownow for a pickup order. The restaurant piped me online trying to make an online order. Picking a location near home was not as it appeared. When attempting to pick up the order this location said it was not part of the chownow system and that I'd have to go 6 miles to the "correct" location. Contacting chownow is a joke, no concern for actual screen shots showing their deception, no way to get my $40.00 back.

ChowNow is a fraud. They take orders for restaurants that are closed and then don’t refund you when you don’t get anything. To this day this closed restaurant is still listed with ChowNow taking orders that they won’t refund. It’s a scam!

Credit card processing experience was terrible requiring lots of retry attempts. Both tonight and 2 days ago ... same issue. Different restaurants for pickup but ChowNow was the common denominator.

The worst. They have missed items from my order

They never alerted me that my food came and it sat outside and got cold. Tried to get help and they said they weren't able to track the order. Um What??

Tried to cancel the order with the incorrect restaurant and no resolution. I was on the phone for over an hour with a promised a refund from the restaurant and never got anything. I will never use ChowNow or tres Potrillos again! This is a huge disappointment.

This was the absolute worst experience I've had with a food delivery service! Please think twice, local restaurants, before contracting with them. I never got my food & wasted valuable time

Wow! Well I guess I’m not the only one . . . Complete fiasco. This is what kills me. The order with the restaurant on their Chownow portal was fine, my address was correct and apartment number is listed. The order converts to Uber Eats and the address changes by 30 blocks and doesn’t list the apartment number. What the what?!?! In the Seattle area, being off by 30 blocks can be a huge deal for time to change course. There was a highway closed for construction between us and the incorrect address and the driver tried to get it to us. Conversing with the customer service they tell me to bring it up with UberEats that the address didn’t port over correctly. Sooooooo I’m evidently now the CTO for Chownow and UberEats. Good times! Never got our order, but it looks like refund went through. I’m a controller (I just moonlight as an IT whiz for poorly run businesses) and I can’t imagine all the chargeback requests this company must deal with.

Without adding my own detailed story, more-or-less the same as all the others, I just want to ask why any restaurant would align itself with this Company with these sort of reviews.

They are a bunch of criminals. You can pay for a year of service in advance and only use 5 months and they will not budge to try and provide a partial refund; despite being previously told you would get one. They have not helped my business at all. We did not use their POS this company is a joke and I cannot wait for karma to do its thing with them. I should’ve paid more attention to the terms, typically when people have no refund policies like this; it’s a sign their asses won’t be good!

After using Chow Now numerous times, I was disappointed with their service last night. I ordered delivery of 3 dinners from an upscale downtown restaurant and included a generous driver tip. When my delivery did not materialize, I contacted first the restaurant, who had the meal waiting for pickup, and then the Chow Now customer service. Following extended hold times, I was advised to reorder and pay a second time for the meal delivery; customer service could only offer a 50% refund for the first order. I ended up retrieving my own cold meals. Will not rely on this service again until their customer service greatly improves.
