Been with Cia for more years than I can remember, what's happened? premiums going up 20% plus year on year and don't bother calling, you'll be holding for ever! Got no choice to look elsewhere. Shame, they used to be good.

Very bad service I bought a policy from them and I found cheap then them but they charge me £10 and they were really rude on the phone I dont advice any one go with them dont please

CIA Landlord Insurance. My tenant left the house she rented in a dirty, damaged and in a state unfit to live in. She stole items that were in the home. The total cost for repairs was just over £6800. CIA paid nothing.

All dealings have been very good. Good prices and helpful staff. Would give 5 stars but never had a claim so reserve fifth star for then,

CIA are the worst company to trust. They are great at taking your money but as soon as you need help with your tenants when they refuse to pay any rent, CIA just walk away and their solicitors don’t want to take on work either. AVOID at all costs as they WONT help you in your time of need.

If I could give zero stars, I would. This company is an absolute nightmare to deal with. I made a claim after an incident at one of my rental properties and provided everything they asked for — police report, reference number, photos, and full tenancy paperwork — yet they’ve done nothing but delay and ask irrelevant questions.

Now they’re trying to link the claim to a business I closed in 2022, even though the property is in my personal name and has NOTHING to do with any business. Under UK law, personal and business assets are completely separate, but it seems like they’re just looking for excuses to avoid paying.

I’ve already started complaints with the FCA and the Financial Ombudsman Service, and I’m preparing to take legal action. I wouldn’t trust this company with a phone case, let alone a property. Avoid them at all costs.

was insured via CIA insurance for a number of years and was always impressed. The premium jumped up over £50 this year and when i requested to increase the sum insured by approx £15,000 went up over another £50. shopped around and found a quote a lot cheaper and more cover. How can you advertise on facebook, that you guarantee to beat any quote !!!

Omg renewal approaching they called me week before and said I was busy call tomorrow but they didn't plus I submitted a claim 23 Jan
They not had the decency to Acknowledge or call me so I chased them only to be told they have a backlog not helping when home inhabitable and having to sort things out why bother to have insurance they try to avoid paying out and helping

Sorry to say I have used CIA for my BTL properties for several years. Always been fair until last year when they started renewing policies at extortionate premiums. Today they quoted £417 vs £220 found elsewhere.
Conclusion, don’t trust CIA. Shop around.

Awful company. They made an error on my insurance. I was told to call to run through my insurance. When I was doing my taxes, I realised that they had insured my home address not my rental property. I was horrified and insured my rental property immediately with another company. It doesn't bear thinking about. I called to complain and was met with some twee advisor who lacked any empathy. She could tell me the address that was supposed to be insured. It is questionable what would have happened if it was a claim. Left out of pocket and still shocked at the whole situation. Just don't!!!! They don't care.

A very good experience resulting in a well priced quote. I’d had difficulty getting insurance for my half empty property and was feeling quite anxious. CIA was recommended to me by my estate agent. From the start they knew what they were talking about. It was easy to contact them and Lauren Wood was always available or would call me back. I was very happy with the cover she found for me. Recommended.

The patience and helpfulness of CIA while I was dithering over my policy was above and beyond.

I made an on line enquiry for a quote and made the mistake of giving my phone number. Endless calls afterwards. I regret asking for the quote. Phoned to ask them to stop - cut me off.

Had a call from these people after using a comparison site to get a quote for landlord insurance. The guy that called came across as very rude, uninterested and obnoxious. Suffice to say I won't be using them for insurance.
