My experience as a young professional was not great with the company.

First of all, the employees clearly know nothing about basic customer service. They were rude, unprofessional and knew nothing about the apartments they are renting.

After seeing one of them, I got even more disappointed mainly of the viewing process. It was very chaotic and unorganized and the agent, Ulrik, was clearly avoiding people.

I think the company is very bad and not helpful at all and I advise no serious working people to go there since they will primarily be wasting their time.

They do not even deserve one star.

I called and asked for their support when tap water was dirty after the regular maintenance. They were not willing to help and suggested me to look at the general instruction on their website. When I tried to call other person, they rejected to help me, as it was not their responsibility. In the end, they told me to find other apartment, if I am not satisfied with their "service".

Similar incidents happened a couple of times, so I decided to move. One day when I was sleeping in the bed, City Apartment guy came in without appointment nor my permission to show the room for new tenants. When I was not there, they obviously did the same. City Apartment does this without telling you, and this is their normal practice.

They also kept increasing the rent, although the room is not new and the furniture is cheap.

So I strongly recommend to rent an apartment from a decent company or individual.

When I moved in Cityapartment assured me that I get the apartment unpainted they expect me to return it unpainted. Also at the beginning reported damages, like holes in the walls. All the troubles started when I moved out. Cityapartment wanted to rip off my deposit 3500 DKK for painting of the apartment and holes in the walls. Before moving in, I took a lot of photos of the apartment, which I sent them later proving that the apartment was in the very poor condition. What surprised me most, they ignored those photos and still claimed 3500 DKK for renovating the apartment. The person who handled communication was Mr Ulrich Gawinecki, very rude person who insulted me during a conversation.

Luckily, according to Danish law, Cityapartment is obliged to provide the tenants external law consulation free of charge (it's covered by the rent). The external law company that Cityapartment tenants may use for free is LLO ( lloh.dk ). As soon as I mentioned LLO in the conversation, Cityapartment immediately agreed to return my full deposit.

One more thing, not many people not know is challenging the rent. According to the Danish law, all the tenants are allowed to consult housing tribunal and ask if the rent is alright. If housing tribunal decides that Cityapartment charges too much for the sq m, they are obliged not only to reduce the price, but also refund all the difference starting from the day one. LLO is a great help in such cases, because they handle all the communication. I have heard of people who got their rent reduced from 8200 DKK down to 6500 DKK per month and refunded all the months for few years back.

If Cityapartment will try to cheat you or you think you pay too high rent, highly recommend contacting LLO, they are very helpful and free of charge.

Stay away from it! When I move in, the apartment is not clean. There are hair and a bag of smelly food left behind. They tried to charge me 2000kr when I moved out. They claimed that I left dust in the fridge which is laughable. Thanks to the København kommune stepped in. They didn't charge me at last. But it is the worst experience I had in Copenhagen.

I have to specially name the staff Rolf Petersen. His attitude towards tenants are horrible - he even asked me to leave the apartment right away when we were arguing the cleaning fee. I have a friend also a tenant of them. He is absolutely unhelpful.
