I travel quite often between Galway and Dublin Airport and and have never once been delayed. The busses are always on time and the drivers courteous and helpful. I also appreciate being able to change my booking to an earlier or later bus if the flights arrive earlier or later than anticipated. HOWEVER on a more than a couple of occasions the overhead lighting did not work which is extremely irritating. Also there is way too little space between the seat rows. It really feels uncomfortable and claustrophobic.

Buses are always late
I was travelling on the Citylink from the midlands to Dublin airport, to get a second bus from the airport to Belfast. The Citylink was so late that it arrived 30 mins behind schedule to the airport, so I missed my connecting bus and had to buy a second ticket. This is not the first time this has happened to me with Citylink and left me out of pocket. The arrival/departure times on the Galway-Dublin multistop route are grossly underestimated and therefore misleading as they are never on time in my experience!

We advise passengers to allow extra time for potential delays, the multistop service Route 763 is subject to delays along route due to a number of issues, congestion along the route is a major concern and other issues such as weather, traffic accidents etc to name but a few. Be aware that buying a Return ticket…
Be aware that buying a Return ticket with Cash doesn't guarantee your return
Bought a day return ticket from galway to canal bridge in connemara with my 8 year old son hoping to get the last bus back the last bus was totally full leaving us stranded in the middle of nowhere with the sun setting in an hour. Managed to persuade the bus driver to let us on told the original bus driver we were returning on the last one but it was still booked out
Very bad ticketing system

Constant idle buses
This company put their Dublin to Galway, Cork and Castlebar services stop outside a residential building on Crampton quay. After months of asking and pleading with the staff and drivers to turn off the buses while they wait at the stop it’s become clear that they simply do not care about the constant noise, vibrations, fumes and unmanaged crowds they are responsible for. They leave buses running for 30 minutes at a time, creating so much noise and exhaust fumes that residents can barely stand to be in the their own living rooms. The near constant vibration is nauseating and completely unnecessary as they could easily wait and even board with the engine off but refuse to do so. Some of the buses are so old they cause the windows to rattle while they sit at the stop. The buses run all day and night this way. Hopefully with all the videos we have recorded the transport authority and Dublin city council will be able to do something to improve the situation because City Link refuses to help.

Hi Megan, Thank you for providing some details of your experience and we have reached out to in regards to gathering ,ore information from you. The stop at Crampton Quay has been our stop for many years and is also shared by other operators. This is an allocated and approved stop. Our services arrive in usually 5 minutes before departure as they are coming from the airport and board passengers and embark on their scheduled journeys. Rarely are they sitting at the stop for longer than this as they are in transit from Dublin Airport. We do have services every 30 minutes however travelling to all the destinations you mentioned. Filthy filthy filthy bus. Chewing gum from the seatbelt in the front seat behind the driver destroyed my top. I moved to the back of the bus. The floor was filthy. The bus driver was rude, verging on aggressive. Terrible experience on two separate times.

Absolutely helpful
Absolutely helpful! I came to check a day earlier where the bus to Dublin Airport was leaving from. The man at the counter gave me all the right information Moreover, he suggested to change my ticket to minutes earlier. That meant no stopping in between and a quicker journey. The next morning I did indeed change it. So easy! Highly recommend!

Once again I was spoke to like a bold child by Martin on a full coach
He has a disliking of me for some unknown reason. He is the only difficult citylink driver I meet. He Always overcharged me and questions me the same horrible way everytime. Makes me feel about a foot high. You wouldn't speak to a child the way he barks at me.
I have reported this man numerous times and still nothing is done so this will be the same I'm sure. Why don't you employ nice drivers. Bus eireann has alot of lovely drivers where citylink has 1 in 5 nice drivers. Sort yourselves out citylink.
You are losing customers big time over drivers and not stopping when needed.

We arrived 15 late in Dublin on the 22,07,2026 at 01,15 am at the busstop the Bus was still there waiting for us
I was suprised by a very friendly Bus Driver the Bus Service was great straight down to Cork
ON the 14,08,2026 WE took the citilink Back to Dublin we got caught in Traffic we're 25min late but thats nobodies fault i used to travel Aircoach but in comparison to citilink the fare Return for two passengers was mich cheaper

The 9:15 Dublin Airport - Galway bus closed its doors at 9:13, 2 minutes earlier leaving 7 people waiting outside for the next bus. Very disappointing for the ignorance towards passengers and people waiting outside. People were knocking in the bus window to be let inside

Everything was fine, BUT the smell from the toilet was honestly unbearable. 🤢 I’m really not exaggerating, it was absolutely disgusting and clearly bothering other passengers too. I ended up putting perfume under my nose just to survive the 3+ hour journey.
I wonder if the cleaning frequency just isn’t enough during the busy summer season, especially with more passengers and this unusually hot Irish weather.
Everything else was fine, but that toilet smell… absolutely brutal. 😷

The frequency of cleaning of all coaches is daily, however we cannot manage how passengers behave or treat the facilities onboard , often times they will block the toilet by implementing objects such as bottles and contraband they wish to conceal. Brilliant Service
From my experience Citi Link are a company that provide a fantastic service at a price that if I were to drive to Dublin Airport park my car etc are less than half the price. The service is brilliant and times too.. oh and very comfy too..

Comfortable journey with no delays
