Absolutely shameless
I used city moves on the 21st of August.They loaded the van and we needed to wait for the completion,so the van went away awaiting a call from me. I was told if it takes me past 1 pm it will cost me additional 120 £ per hour to which I agreed. Just before 3 pm I tried contacting them,but noone would pick up. A while after I was told the van had broken down and it's unsure if they can make it the same day. Multiple times I was offered to have my stuff delivered after the weekend free of extra charge, which left me with the impression that they are short of staff. I could not accept staying in an empty house with no bed,no blanket, nothing for 3 nights,paying nearly 100 0£ for the service. Anyway,the van after Multiple calls arrived and delivered on Saturday midday after a nightmare night.I had to help with he delivery, as the man was on his own. For the fantastic service and despite that the delay was not my fault and it caused me a great deal of inconvenience and uncertainty, I got charged extra 360£. I'm not sure how did they get the extra charge or aren't they ashamed to add the extra charges. One thing I'm sure of,I'll never recommend them or use them again.
UPDATE: After a early morning call from the company, regarding my review, during which call I asked the gentleman to keep down the tone as it is making me stressed and I did not deserve it,the gentleman put the phone down.Since I have looked at the phone calls log on my phone.I have called richard 3 times ar 2:44 and then,as there was no reply I called the main office and I managed to speak with a lady at 2:45 .She was unaware as of to where are van was so she updated me later that the van had broken down.So the times and the info in the reply are far from correct. The truth is,the quote was very different to start with,went up to what I agreed, I also agreed with the delay of less than 2 hours unexpected charge. I do not agree with being left one night to sleep with clothes on the floor and being charged after their delay 360£.I also find the behaviour after my review absolutely appalling and the lies in the comment below fit with the whole experience. No need to thank me for the feedback, as I'm sure it won't lead to any improvement.

I am Sorry to hear your interpretation of your relocation is so different to the events that actually took place. I would like to take this opportunity to say that we welcome all feedback as it helps us understands any issues and invites the opportunity for us to grow as a company. However, we feel that certain things you have said are totally misleading and not truthful.
We arrived at your property at 7:50 am on the 21st August as you wanted us there by 8am sharp. We loaded the Vehicle and left the property at 9:45 am, we proceeded to our depot as access was not available at the new property, we were told that we would receive a call to the office when our client had access to the new property. We called you just after 4pm as we had not heard anything to be told that we could make way as you confirmed that you would be at the property by the time we got there, this lead to a charge of 3 hours x £120 from 1pm which is the £360 you were charged. On route the vehicle did have a blow out and we had to wait for the RAC breakdown, we called you straight away to advised if it was ok, if the goods could be delivered on the Monday at no extra charge due to it being out of our control, and once again you confirmed that this would not be an issue if we could adhere to that which we agreed would be no problem and thank you for understanding. We had the vehicle wheel changed at roadside and we retuned back to our branch at approximately 19:15pm. We could not change the wheel ourselves due to the vehicle being full. All time stamps are confirmed by our live tracking system.
Our team arrived at the property on Saturday and started offloading, 90% of the items were 1 man items and we had a second member of staff come over for the 2 man lifts, our driver repeatedly asked the client to please refrain from coming on to the vehicle and to let him bring all the items into which she said its ok I want to get some specific bits. You were not charged £360 for delivery; you were charged for the 3.5 hours of waiting time the day before. I must be honest to say we have reviewed the phone calls and can say, you had no frustration on the day you said that a Saturday delivery would be fine and no problem at all. You have not called us since, but we have tried to call you out of courtesy on the 28th August which is our process for feedback 1 week after your move.
I am sorry it has led to you leaving this review and we do feel other than a breakdown which was out of our control we completed your relocation perfectly. We would like to wish you all the best in your new property.

Good quick house emptying done in a few…
Good quick house emptying done in a few hours . Boys were very careful and everything packed well for the move . Allowed us time to do final tidy of house before departure. Went on ahead to new property fitting in their break so worked well. When we arrived they were all set up to offload . Furniture placed where ever needed and did reposition few items took care of front door with covers and carpets . Overhaul great experience would use again great friendly team . Thank you all

Great team
Difficult move and a difficult time - partner's mother had passed and hadn't clear and move the contents of the house quickly. From South West Wales to Manchester with a stop off in Wales. From initial contact abd arrangements to final move, City Moves looked after us. Made a difficult time much easier. It was a very competitive quote too. Half that of a local firm.

Best movers ever!!!
The three gentlemen that came with the truck were amazing and incredibly professional. They started when they said they would on the first (pick up) and last (delivery) days. Somehow they got all of our stuff and our plants on the van. I could not recommend them more and would use them again!

Wow - Fab company
Wow, what can I say, amazing company - please use them. So friendly, accommodating, nothing too much trouble and very competitive price wise. Son moved from Ebbw Vale to Wrexham so full house move. There was a slight problem with the van on the morning of the move, but they went back and changed the van, in the meantime 2 other removal men arrived to move all the stuff downstairs to give the other lads a head start when they got back with the van. Boy did they pack efficiently and quickly. Didn’t get the names of the 2 guys who helped initially but they were great and along with Marcus and Ewan who did the actual move, the van was packed up in 1.5 hours, they even waited while I hoovered the empty rooms so I could put hoover on the van. It was a 3 hour drive,and they were still cheerful, friendly, polite and efficient, offloading the contents to whichever room we wanted, nothing was too much trouble. They even reassembled the sofa, the bed including the headboard and connected the washing machine for us. That’s why I started this review with a `Wow’. 5 * plus, would recommend to anyone and we would definitely use them again. Thank you for making the move stress free. Please pass our thanks on to the guys who helped us.

Best movers we’ve had
Marcus and Addi helped us move in Cardiff. Not the easiest move by far from a steep stairs up to first floor flat. The two of them were absolutely pro and moved us effortlessly and so quickly! Arrived on time and their office was very easy to deal with and quick to quote. Very impressed! Thank you guys!

Brilliant service
I would not hesitate to use this company. I have now used them several times and never had an issue.
My last move involved my belongings going to different locations and this was facilitated effortlessly. The crew were very friendly and took care with my belongings. Made a very stressful day a lot easier.

Would highly recommended the CityMoves team - we had an exchange date that kept moving until 3 days before completion so their flexibility and moving day guarantee on receipt of deposit was vital for us and removed any stress about rushing last minute to book. Very disappointing
This review has been a long time coming as I just couldn’t face any more to do with my house move. City Moves? were very poor from beginning to end. I had a complex move involving some furniture going to one place, some to storage. The remainder of my furniture was then picked up two months later and also putting into storage. Finally, all furniture removed from storage and into my new house a few months later.
I paid for a fragile Pak. Total amount spent with City Moves was £3714.
Due to complex personal issues I needed the removal company to arrive on time and I was told they would be there at 8:30 and they were two hours late to collect the remainder of my furniture. This made the situation very awkward for me.
On unpacking my belongings in my new property, I find two pieces of antique glass are smashed. They were very poorly packed indeed. I raised the issue with the company and then ensued many messages stating that I had to give them formal valuations. This was not possible since they were antique, one item being gifted to me by a family member and one inherited. I sent over approximate evaluations of similar items on eBay. These were not considered good enough.
Worse than that, a true family heirloom, a painting inherited and painted by a well-known artist of the time of my great-great-grandfather was badly damaged. They had placed a very sharp item in the same box and tried to blame me for it. Obviously, I would not have done such a thing. I did try to get valuations for Repair and sent them over, they tried to contact the valuer and had no response and I’m afraid I took it no further because I was so exhausted.

Initially it was excellent but after they had gone we realised boxes clearly marked were in the wrong places like kitchen equipment in bedrooms and bedroom things in the dining room I recommend you write clearly and in big print what the items are and which room they are destined the move itself was speedy and efficient

Fantastic Stress Free Moving Experience
Moved across Cardiff with City Move today. The whole day was totally lacking in stress thanks to Justin, Rhys and Jacob who swiftly and carefully packed everything up withn three hours. Even a table which I was sure would need to go out through the garden was weaseled through the front door. Gwasanaeth, Golfal a Chyflymder i gyd cant y cant. Diolch i chi bois!

We used City Moves for our move from Pontardawe
We used City Moves for our move from Pontardawe to Swansea and from start to finish they were excellent. On the day of the move the team arrived on time and began putting floor and door protection down in our property before starting the loading of the vehicle. On arrival at the new property again protection was put down. The team of 4 guys worked hard throughout a very warm day and each of them was polite, friendly and helpful. We have moved many times and City Moves have been the best company we have used, and I am happy to recommend them to anyone looking for a good home removal company for a stress free move, and at a competitive price.

Highly recommend following a move in Bristol
The first team arrived early and dismantled the furniture. The second team arrived with the lorry and worked quickly and carefully. Coming up with various solutions to issues around our none standard, narrow doorways and kept a good sense of humour. Would recommend.
