Really really happy with my reduction.

They have been looking after me for 7 years and my many shops. They always come through not only on the rates but help in lots of other areas. They charged me so I get as much use out of them as possible cause I want to get my moneys worth! Really helps a lot.

Been with the company since 2014 and they have put in lots of appeals for me on my rates, some have worked some haven’t but I feel they did a good job. James is lovely to talk to and Julia helped me with the gov stuff. Signed up with them again for this years rates too. Fingers crossed it works.

Do not indulge these people. You pay the £5.99 they deem this as a contractual agreement they then will try to debit your account for over £900 without permission. I did not agree to their terms currently in court with them. A massive headache

They took me on and I paid the deposit and fee. Nothing happened for a while but I finally found out why, I hadn’t signed them as my agent on the Gov gateway. 2 weeks after that I got my money from the appeal and was overall happy with what happened with my experience. They are quite helpful when you call them.

I approached this company as I was recommended from a friend that owns a shop near mine. Paid the fee, put them as my agent & forgot about it. They called me sometime later to say that they had got the challenge going & waiting to hear back from the rates people. Again just left it until I got a phone call to say I'd be getting money back & it would be back in my bank the following week. Rates are going up in April but I'll get them on it again.

Signed up with them beginning of 2022 and got a reduction on 3 out of the 5 premises.
Worth it in the end

I really wish I hadnt answered the phone to these people. I was told I would get a rebate of about £15,000 on my existing rates so I paid the £5.99 and once you do that, you are tied in. When the actual figure of the reduction/rebate it was £2,200, if you take off the £1000 fee they charge and then the 15% commission i was left with around £700 which I suppose £700 is £700 but all the hassle, chasing and stress really wasnt worth it. Whatever you do, think about it carefully before paying the £5.99 to be legally in the contract. To be honest you can do this yourself. I'm now glad its all over and I never want to think about this again!!

My initial contact with Syreeta was great, really engaging and informative, friendly and succinct. They provided me with all the info I needed to get registered with the VOA and dealt with everything on my behalf. After dealing with a number of different people at the Agency I was contacted by Bryan who answered all my queries and has successfully managed to get us a refund on our business rates, with more to come, and discount on our upcoming business rates review. It can be risky trusting a business from a cold call, but this has turned out to be a great experience and I've already passed on their details to other local businesses.

They got in contact with me, I was dubious about the whole thing and they assured me that they would get me money back from the council. Once I had paid I did get a bit shaky again.
BUT and it’s a big BUT, I got £14,000 back and I’m rates free. Very very happy and I would have never done this but they really helped me out especially with everything going on. Every time I had a question it got answered.

I have retaken on this company as they got me a reduction earlier this year and unfortunately my rates are going back up next year with this restart thing which is ridiculous. Paid the deposit and the balance when I got the report. They reduced my rates about 3 months after paying them, wasn’t to happy in those months paying a company and not seeing results but they did update me. I got more relief so got some money back from the gov. I paid them for the job and their surveyor was lovely.

I will give zero if I can! Absolutely disgusting service! I have engaged with them since December 2020, they told me they were confident that they could bring my rateable value down to below £12000 therefore there is no need to pay business rates. They called me and sent me emails up to the point they have taken my money and then not heard from them. For two years period they only done two checks and no challenge at all. Every time I called them for update they always said the person dealing with my case is working from home and promised to ask him to give me an update, but never get any reply. I have just called them for an update and they told me there is nothing to tell me about. During the past 6 months I have received two more phone calls from Clements sales team they used the same technique (told me they could bring my business rate down to zero)and try to get me on board without realising I have already being their client, when I told them my case number they both promised to contact the manager and get back to me, and they simply just disappeared. I am strongly advised anyone is considering use this company to think twice, they are just want to take your money and leave you in the cold.

Clements Agency have been my agents for years. I have a few shops and they have helped me in different ways on every one.
I got a reduction on 2 of them and every time I ring, sometimes just for advice, they are super helpful and help me with what ever I might have missed. I have recently paid them and assigned them as my agent on another shop I have taken on. It?s just nice knowing that my rates are looked after for the next 5 years. Every time I have spoken to their surveyor, he has been lovely and very helpful.

STAY AWAY FROM THEM THEY ARE SCAMMERS.
They cold called me. most lose interest in me when I say I will pay nothing upfront but if you can reduce my rates I will pay 50% as one off Commision on the yearly saved amount. The Clements agency agent said fine but she asked me if I would pay postage, I did . I appointed them on VOA website as my agent . they submitted an appeal ( which took them all of 5 minutes. ) they then hassled me to pay £800 towards further action since VOA acknowledged the appeal. I had not signed their contract on pdf since the conditions I stipulated where not there. We tooed and froed on the phone and email without resolution. Next thing I get hit with SMALL CLAIMS COURT paperwork. they were taking me to court for non payment of money. I took them on and put together my case and on the day, they did not turn up. The judge dismissed the case on the basis there was no contract signed and there was no case to answer. I bet they would have used the £5.99 payment as deposit argument to say technically there was a contract .
I was wise to make a bank transfer of 5.99 rather give them my card details so they not could withdraw any money . there are tons of blogs on the net with similar stories. I also think the 5* reviews are mostly fake.
if you have not signed any contract , take them on and defend the claim in court. they will loose

Clements agency was brilliant. they helped us every step of the way. I highly recommend this company to anyone who needs to get their rates sorted. it was quick and easy. there fee policy is very reasonable also. David at Clements was very polite and friendly. Always there if we needed some advice.

I literally don't have the time or patients to do what they have done for me so thanks for that.
They reduced my rates then did it again when I had roadworks going on outside my shop. I did do my research before signing with them and other companies would have charged me twice as much so went with clements. Paid them and got a great result. I wouldn't of done this myself and they are still looking after my place.

Spoke directly to the surveyor that deals with my area. Kept me informed most of the way and got 2 reductions. Was told my measurements were wrong so that was a quick change but then got a huge reduction because of my rent. After I paid then the first reduction was within 2-3 weeks. Took couple of months for the next one but worth the wait, got a nice rebate in my account.
The surveyor also helped me with my rent but that was something I had to ask for but was happy to help. Worth it

I had to sign them up to the government gateway to get the job done and pay the deposit of £5.99. That was it from my end. Paid there fee after my report came back but I was a little in the dark but, had to just trust they would get the job done.
They did thankfully. I have given them my other premises just to see what can be done.
Was a bit wobbly because of the bad reviews on here but that wasn’t my experience.

Avoid this company. I made the mistake of engaging them in 2017 to question business rates for one of my two shops at a hefty fee. I chased them in 2019 (having had success DOING IT MYSELF with my other shop) and was fobbed off by a member of team who wasn't interested in helping, nor refunding. I finally got a positive response in 2022. I received no invoice at the time but I did get a reminder in October 2022. I needed to track down the 2017 contract to find out if the amount I paid was redeemable against the result (IT ISN'T) while doing so I got a message from the same horrible member of the team a threatening solicitors after only 7 days. The MD got in touch pretending to apologise. He blamed 'Bloody postal strikes' (his friendly but unprofessional language, not mine) for me not getting invoices in a timely manner. He also chose to abbreviate my name as if we were good chums (we aren't). I told him when to expect payment. He then chased payments again hours before the deadline. Clements Agency is a nasty and unnecessary company. You can do what they offer for free without them, and I can speak from experience. I wish I hadn't got involved with them in the first place. I regret not being more assertive in getting a refund in 2019 when I was fobbed me off, without proving they had done any work.

The company is very professional and the service is amazing . Mr Bryan and Mr David were very helpful. I recommend this company to anyone who has a problem with business rates
