Every member of our close-knit team works with dedication and commitment and we treat every call and every visit with respect and compassion. We are faithful to our objective of making home visits personal, un-rushed, peaceful and dignified . We always have the time to talk to you and will always do everything we can to support you and your pet at a time when you need us most. We work to support and help you when you need us, but we are not an emergency vet and we do not have limitless appointment times. But even in an emergency we will do all we can to help you. An emergency tends to be a crisis and our ethos is to plan a calm and respectful goodbye. Our caring team works passionately to help pet families that are facing "end of life situations" for their beloved pet companions. We provide unhurried pet euthanasia services in the secure and loving environment of your own home. We really do understand that it may be difficult to make that first call, so, our Care Coordinators are available for you to speak to, 7 days a week, from 7am to 8pm Monday to Friday and between 8am to 5pm at weekends and when you pick up the phone, we will treat your call with kindness and understanding. All Cloud 9 Vets fees are always explained and agreed in advance of booking an appointment. The Cloud 9 Way, we do our utmost to provide empathy, compassion and respect in everything we do.

The vet
The vet , Susie came to euthanize our beloved Lab as he was very ill , she was lovely, she spoke to him all the time and was so gentle , she asked us constantly if we were ok as all the family were in bits , it made his passing so much easier. The lady from the crematorium was also fantastic , so caring , made our dog look like he was asleep when she took him to her car.

On a very sad day when we lost our…
On a very sad day when we lost our beloved Staffy Jasper just short of his 18 th birthday it was a comfort to have such a caring service from Cloud 9. From the moment my call was answered by reception to the final moments. Kostas arrived exactly on time and gave us as much time as we needed for last goodbyes. Jasper went into a quiet sleep. No more pain. Thank you all for your support and the kind card you sent later.

It is such a sad day when we say that final goodbye to a beloved companion, Jasper was a very good age, but I can see from his notes that he was dealing with some challenges, even at 18, it may be difficult to take solace from their age when they leave us. I know that being at home does provide great comfort when that time comes. A Peaceful Goodbye for Our Beautiful Cat Louie ♥️🐾
We recently had to say goodbye to our cat beautiful boy Louie due to cancer, and although it was one of the hardest things we’ve ever had to do, Josie at Cloud 9 Vets was absolutely amazing throughout the whole process.
She was so gentle, compassionate, and patient with Louie, and she explained every step clearly which really helped put us at ease during such an emotional time. She made both us and Louie feel comfortable and supported, and I truly believe he passed peacefully because of the care she gave him.
Thank you, Josie, for treating our boy with such kindness and dignity in his final moments. We will never forget it.

Cloud 9 made our pet’s passing to be as good as humanly possible - she simply went to sleep without any suffering…
Our lovely elderly dog had developed lymphoma about 6 weeks ago and had deteriorated over the past few days. When it became apparent that she was not going to get better, our vet recommended Cloud 9 for home euthanasia.
This was carried out by the loveliest vet from Cloud 9, Wing Ka Yuen, who was so calming, gentle and empathetic and who took her time explaining the process. She was the perfect end-of-life Doula and her professionalism and expertise gave our beautiful and much-loved pet a dignified, peaceful and gentle death, and us humans a sense that everything that was possible to ease her passing, had been carried out perfectly.
Would highly recommend Cloud 9 Vets as a result of this exceptional service.

Our beloved ziggy …
After our beloved dog ziggy was unwell we used cloud 9 to deal with him being put to sleep, he was taken to a crematorium and brought back home with dignity.
The vet was amazing as well as Holly who took ziggy away and brought his ashes home. Would like to thank everyone involved.

Cloud 9 , Well recommended.
Last month we had to say goodbye to Bruce one of our cats who had gone down hill rapidly during short illness with diabetes.
Bruce was cat I rescued from living rough at work 11 years ago , he’s been so loving and never been far from my side all these years .
So it was the most heartbreaking decision to end his suffering.
Cloud 9 was recommended to us by my Daughter who had used them the previous year
After contacting Cloud nine it was arranged for Freddie the same Vet to come and put Bruce to sleep.
Freddie is a great guy who portrayed himself with professionalism, dignity & compassion .
Without further suffering Bruce peacefully left us .

I am so sorry to hear about Bruce. There is something incredibly special about the bond with a rescue, taking him from "living rough" to being your constant companion for 11 years is a beautiful legacy of love. On that day, so many years ago, you changed the entire trajectory of his life.
Making the choice to end suffering is the hardest part of being a pet parent, but it’s the final, most selfless gift you could give him. It’s heartening to hear that Freddie was able to provide that same level of dignity and peace for Bruce that your family has come to trust.
I am sure that the bond you built up over 11 years will give you a lifetime of memories.

The loss of my furbaby Harley
When the vet broke the heartbreaking news that my furbaby Harley would have to be put to sleep I was recommended Cloud9 vets. From start to finish they treated myself and more importantly Harley with such care and compassion. When I first called not really knowing what to expect Debbie was lovely and made me feel at ease. Zoi was our vet and she was fantastic. Talked me through everything and what to expect and was so gentle with Harley. So glad I used cloud9 vet and would so highly recommend them.

Perfect in a time of need

Our 14-year-old black Labrador had a stroke the night before and I contacted Cloud 9 vets who were recommended by my vets Icknield in Harpenden. They were kind sympathetic everything you wanted on the telephone,
Susie the lovely vet arrived on time and was so kind and compassionate asked about his life was kneeling down at his side, stroking him and talking to him gently the whole time she took her time with him and with all of my family who were all heartbroken and sobbing around her she spent time with him and with us and was absolutely outstanding & thoughtful. I would highly recommend this team of experience vets to anyone.

I am so deeply sorry for the loss of your dear Labrador. Fourteen years is a long life, but it never feels like enough time when you have to say goodbye to a loyal companion.
It is so moving to hear how Susie and the rest of our team supported you, at such an emotional time. Having a vet who honours a dog's life by asking about his story and showing such care and compassion for your dear Lab and his family is so comforting. It sounds like he passed surrounded by nothing but love and compassion in the environment he knew best.
Black Labs are famous for their devotion, so it’s no wonder the whole family felt that heartbreak so deeply. Knowing he was comfortable and heard his favourite voices at the end is a beautiful final act of love you gave him.

So sad that the time had come for Nico. It is not that long ago that I lost my own German Shepherd and I understand the how difficult that emotional goodbye can be.
We work with passion and intensity, to make that final goodbye slightly more bearable. We do work within an extremely emotional field and compassion fatigue is an area, that we need to be very aware of, but it is so rewarding to help families in need, especially when we read words like yours. It provides all of us with an energy and fulfilment to keep being there 365 days a year.

From start to finish cloud9 made what…
From start to finish cloud9 made what was a very traumatic situation the best it could possibly be.
Our terminally ill dog declined quite quickly over night, I called cloud9 at 7am and an appointment was booked for 11.30 for euthanasia and then 12.30 for the crematorium collection, both times met perfectly.
Kim the vet from Glasgow was very empathetic and explained everything well, she was greeted by my dog as she walked in and quickly made my dog feel at ease by talking to him and gently petting him.
Can’t thank cloud9 and Kim enough, after his long and challenging battle with cancer I take comfort knowing his passing was comfortable and stress free.
Highly recommend cloud9 vets.

Highly recommend Cloud 9, what was the worst day of my life made a little easier
It has taken me a few weeks to write this but I cannot be more grateful and thankful for the service provided. The level of compassion, love and trust is beyond words. From the initial phone call with Jenny I felt at ease. The worst day of my life had come and I dreaded every second but Julia you are truly a wonderful person, you had so much patience and time and you cried with us as we lay our boy to rest, you will remain in my heart forever. On the 16th February 2026 our vet gave us the devastating news that Macie our darling 13 year old Weshie was terminal,we always said that she would pass over the Rainbow 🌈 Bridge at home and so were given the number for Cloud Nine Vets ,that telephone call a day later was one of the hardest ever ,from that 1st call we spoke to Darlene and she was so professional and sorted everything out at a time when we couldn't even think straight,The vet arrived on time one day later ,his name Andrea and I can't say how much he was so professional, comforting,talked us through what was going to happen.Our darling girl passed peacefully surrounded with love thanks to this man .The man from the Cremation company,for some reason I can't remember his name was amazing when he came to take her away he wrapped her up so she just look sleeping in her bed .Three days later he brought her home in a beautiful casket and her paw prints look as if she's walking on a sandy beach that she loved 🐾🩷

We couldn't lift our very poorly senior labrador to get him help .
After getting zero help from our regular vets we were so upset that our precious labrador Max was going to suffer a painful end. I found cloud 9 on Google and they Instantly took the pressure off and allowed him a dignified goodbye, we are so greatful to them.

Have to highly recommend this company
We wanted to have our dog PTS at home and we heard about Cloud 9 from a neighbour. It was the best thing that we could have done for her, from the initial contact through to receiving her ashes there was nothing but excellent compassion and communication.
The vet who came out, Filipe, was superb with an excellent and compassionate manner which made it a much nicer experience than having to put her in the car and go the the vets.
Same for the guy who came to collect her later, just as planned, again super compassionate.
It's not something that any of us wants to do but if we had to we would certainly use their services again.
