I joined Connectd in April after a lay-off and could not have been happier with this decision. With a 20+ years career in the diagnostics industry, it was so refreshing to learn about the opportunities to bring my skills and experience to early-stage companies and support their founders. I found the Connectd program a great value, and was particularly impressed with their educational program, the Connectd Academy.
I now have a firmer grip on the startup environment, really understanding their different lifecycle stages, the unique business challenges of each one, and most important of all, how to adjust my own experience and workstyle to better meet the needs of founders. It is a truly remarkable, hands-on program with a perfect balance of theory and practical knowledge.
Even as I start a new full-time position and a fractional career is not my end-goal at the moment, the learnings from the Academy will be of great value even in my executive role, and I am very satisfied with the decision to join Connectd.

Connectd pairs founders with mentors experienced in relevant industries. It's a useful service that I recommend to colleagues.

Feels like I was Scammed.

I signed up for the board advisor path under the assumption they had "loads" of start ups in the US in my industry and only after completing their extremely basic course could I look at the actual placements they had. I was shocked at how few total they had in the US (under 20 total) and virtually nothing in healthcare, health tech or insurance-tech. I asked multiple times for a refund for the 9 months I will obviously not be using this completely misrepresented service but, just got responses that said I just have to wait for new roles to be added..... Save your time and money- I just found many more accurate reviews reviews on Google Maps "loads of them"

As a clinical founder having no prior tech start up experience the Connectd community and platform has been great. We have had ongoing support from great advisor for various aspects of our journey. I have recommended start-ups as well as professionals joining the fractional workforce through Connectd.

Joining Connectd genuinely changed how I'm building my company. It never felt like a directory you get handed and left to figure out alone. They matched me with real advisors and talent early on, and I now have weekly strategy calls that go deep on my go-to-market, not surface-level pep talk. The standout has been Faun, she took the time to truly understand my business, defined the advisor roles with me, posted the listings, and came back with strong, well-matched candidates and warm introductions rather than leaving me to chase people myself. She's proactive, responsive and genuinely invested in my success. For an early-stage founder, that's transformational. Highly recommended.

The team at Connectd is really proactive, extremely knowledgeable, and very helpful. They are constantly checking in with you to make sure things are going ok, and are always available for any assistance. The opportunities that the company does provide through their network are what they promise - there is no overselling on their part, which is something I have truly appreciated. I believe they do provide a very good pathway for people like me looking to transition into the board advisor/NED/Fractional roles, and I have been very happy with my association with them.

Connectd tried to sell me an extremely expensive NED training, saying that they had great demand from their community. there is currently 1 NED role posting and 12 advisory postings. It's a very poor data base. 99 percent of companies are at PRE SEED level. They should reposition as a training academy as not sure where the idea of connection makes sense. The offer is woefully misaligned with the audience.

I have had a fantastic experience using Connectd to grow my startup, AskMedi. The platform has been incredibly effective at facilitating introductions to high-calibre advisors and talent who truly understand the challenges of scaling a business.

Through Connectd, I’ve been able to connect with exceptional individuals like Martyn, Jackie, Rupert, Gulnara, Laia, and Sonia. Each introduction has allowed me to tap into specific, valuable expertise that has been pivotal for our growth and strategic direction. Connectd has also enabled us to add new energy to our existing team, which we truly need for our bold launch in the UK and overseas. The team at Connectd is proactive, supportive, and genuinely invested in the success of the founders on their platform. I highly recommend Connectd to any founder looking to build a strong, high-impact advisory board.

The platform itself functions very well. The Connectd site, and the learning site are not over-complicated, but still provide near-comprehensive coverage of everything you might need to do, from just your mobile device.
Since I joined the platform has been updated, and now enables functionality previously not provided, which shows it continues to improve over time - without breaking on major updates.
The staff I have interacted with at Connectd have been friendly, and attentive, and my mentor has already provided me with valuable insights.
I think you have to put a decent amount of effort in yourself to enable the potential of the platform, which is something that is reiterated throughout onboarding.

I wanted to like Connectd, but unfortunately my overall experience was disappointing.

To be fair, the mentoring aspect was the strongest part of the programme. I was matched with a mentor who was knowledgeable, generous with his time, and genuinely helpful. I have nothing but positive things to say about that part of the experience.

The company placement side, however, was a different story.

The first company I was introduced to never followed up after the initial introduction, despite me chasing it. The second company held an introductory meeting and said they would get back to me, but they never did. I fully understand that companies may decide not to proceed—that's perfectly normal.

What wasn't acceptable was Connectd treating those introductions as though the service had been successfully delivered. Even after I explained through their own check-in process that nothing had progressed, those placements appeared to be marked as fulfilled. It felt as though making an introduction, regardless of the outcome, was enough for Connectd to tick the box.

By the end of the programme, I told their team that I hadn't received the value I had hoped for and that I was glad to close that chapter. I paid what I understood to be my final instalment and requested a final account statement.

I continued to have access to the platform afterwards and would occasionally receive notifications or messages when I expressed interest in opportunities. I assumed this was normal, much like platforms such as Quantic, where you retain access after completing a paid programme. Since the platform is essentially a networking and opportunity marketplace, I had no reason to believe that simply retaining access meant I had an ongoing paid subscription.

Months later, I received an email stating that my subscription would continue under my "existing membership terms," followed by an attempted £144 charge to my card. I had never agreed to renew, so this came as a complete surprise.

I'm now having to challenge the attempted renewal and ask Connectd to explain why they believed they were entitled to charge me again.

The mentor was excellent, but the placement process, the way outcomes were represented, and the subsequent billing experience have left me with very little confidence in the company.

Unfortunately, I cannot recommend Connectd based on my experience.
