Purchased a pre-owned described "as new" (6,000 mile) car from Cheltenham branch following some discussion with them as I live 120 miles away. The premises must be the most impressive in the uk. On the day of inspection/collection the car was indeed better than expected and perfectly described, and matched the great images I had been sent. At no time was I under any pressure or time restraints, the few additional questions of history I had thought of on my journey were answered with no hesitation. The communication up to and since from Mark M the salesperson has been exemplary I would buy again from this dealership in a heartbeat.

I called the dealership this morning, after seeing a vehicle available online. They informed me that the vehicle in question was indeed still available and booked me in to come and see it. I made it clear I was very interested and for all intents and purposes would be purchasing today with a view to part exchange my current vehicle. I told the sales rep Matt, I’d be driving the 55 minutes and would see him around 2pm.

We arrived early at 1pm - myself, my wife and 4 year old son. Matt saw to us and gave the keys for us to look at the car. He then allowed us to test drive it, so he could finish his meeting and we could take the next steps once back.

After the test drive, we agreed we’d go ahead with the purchase and settlement figures etc were sorted for my current car.
All happy at this point.

After having then waited a further 10-20 minutes, Matt arrived back and told us he was very sorry but the car had just been sold whilst we were out on a test drive, to someone who had previously agreed to buy it the week before, but had to halt the sale due to finance application reasons.

The car had since been re-listed and here we were ready to buy, having gone through the motions.

So after an hour drive, sitting around the dealership for near on two hours in total, a test drive, confirmation it was FOR SALE and a vehicle appraisal, we were now being told nothing could be done and that was that.

Although not being Matt’s fault, but the final decision of his ‘manager’, I feel disgusted that they have wasted a day of my family’s weekend, after trying to sell me a vehicle under false pretences.

What a joke.

Had a recall at Cotswold Hereford and dealt with it swiftly and professionally . Always a pleasure to walk into their showroom when greeted by polite staff. Thank you

Rarely leave reviews unless positive, but I enquired about a specific car, received email acknowledgement and was due to be contacted by phone. Nothing. Chased again during which time the price increased. Sales manager apparently assured the telephone receptionist that the original price would be honoured and I would receive a call within minutes. No response for the rest of the day. I was trying to buy a car and I will move on, but I am disappointed in the apparent complacency and disregard for customer service.

I purchased a used 2023 Mini Cooper Electric Hatch. The sales rep, Toby, was honest, speedy, and the car was delivered as promised in showroom new condition.

Took mini in for MOT. Dropped keys in box after online check in at 8am. When I called at 4pm they had “just found” my keys stuck in the drop box. Blamed me for not closing it properly!! They then started mot and called me to say too much wrong to complete MOT test so abandoned. Estimate for £1600. Took to local garage, it passed!! Shocking service, very stressful experience. Never returning.

Avoid at all costs had my BMW bike serviced here for last 2 years , every time there is a problem this time I had have the sump replaced on a bike with 2000 miles because one of their mechanics had threaded the sump bolt.
Cost me over 200 pound extra on top of my service cost because of their mistake, where else would you get away with charging the customer when you screw up , I know I couldn't in my job.
I guess should have learn't after the first visit.

SHOCKING AFTERCARE! Would not buy from BMW Cheltenham again. Bought a used car from here a few weeks back to the value of over £29k. After finding time to give the car a good clean a couple of weeks later the problems start to appear. It appears that at some point the car has had damage to the front bumper involvinga dodgy respray! Leaving areas of no top coat along with flaking paint. BMW Cheltenham have assured me that the car is up to "their" standard for used cars and will not accept any responsibility to rectify the issue other than to offer £80 towards myself having it fixed at home.. 25 emails later, numerous phone calls and photos/videos on WhatsApp and still no further forward. I've also found other damage to the car that I have spoken to them about and they simply don't want to know.
Unsure what to do next, though wanted to share my experience with other potential buyers so that they can have an understanding of that they can potentially expect.

I bought a used BMW330i from Cotswold BMW and I am very happy with the car. But I noticed after I took delivery that some of the standard tools supplied were missing, mainly a screwdriver. They said they would replace it but haven't done so and are now not replying to emails. Very poor service considering the car was £35k.

From my initial enquiry through to collection and aftercare I have been given 1st class service. Daniel Pearce was professional, personable and extremely accomodating. I purchased a 5 series BMW and the car upon collection was absolutely as described (mint!). I was made to feel very welcome from everyone and very valued. The showroom is the best BMW car showroom I have ever seen and despite the distance for me from home I won't hesitate to travel and purchase again from Cotswold. Highly recommended. Bought a BMW i4 salesperson very nice when selling you your vehicle but if you have a problem with it after sales service shocking !! So much for salesperson saying we look after you even when you've purchased a vehicle from us 😞

Took my car in for a necessary upgrade, when it came out there was a rumbling noise in the back, they told me it was because of my tyre having low traction. Turns out it was my rear coil had broken. Was fine before it went into Cotswold BMW but not when it came out. Took no responsibility. Absolute cowboys. Avoid at all costs.

Purchased a BMW motorcycle from Cheltenham, felt like I was doing the sales rep a favour, pretty poor service!!!. When you spend upwards of 15k one would expect to have your calls returned especially if you want to purchase accessories.
On the plus side they had plenty of bikes in stock.

Had my car booked in for an MOT, so I dropped it at the dealer in Cheltenham the night before. Before I took my car I did an engine oil level check on slightly uneven ground which threw the over filled warning on. Ok, I forgot to reset it. They phoned me and said they can't MOT it because of a load of wild possibilities, like "the oil may come out of every orifice of the engine, the sensor could be knackered" etc.... basically prepping me for a bill, or that's how I felt. At that point I dropped it, I'm a mechanic, so I told the guy the car is fine and it just needs an engine oil level check on flat ground. He really didn't want to do that, because that would be offering good customer service, but after we had the same conversation 3 times we agreed that if it didn't reset, I needed to collect the car... ok fine. He phoned me back, "it won't reset so the oil is definitely over filled, or the sensor is faulty".... I knew whole heartedly that neither were the problem. Picked my car up, guess what.... they had reset it. So they basically refused to MOT my car, out of what I can see, was principal because I had bought car to them with a warning light on. They have all these women stood around to welcome you, but they all just make you feel like you're an inconvenience. BMW customer service is so bad, that it really makes me wish I didn't love the cars. I won't be going there again though.

3 voicemails later, still not heard a thing, they must be doing very well to just throw away customers like this. Awful service!

Bought 2 BMW - 1 in 1989 - great car, crap customer servicec and staff lying through their teeth. Guess what's changed since then? Yhe car designs and the employees. The service is still crap, and the staff still lie through their teeth. 1 added extra: they will damage your car and try to get you to pay. They also tell lies to the police.
This had been going on for a long time but returned my car back with damage and left me to pay on 8th March.

I went into Cotswold BMW because I had failed to find a working charging point locally. George was ever so helpful and got me underway again. Well done!
