Very disappointing experience with…
Very disappointing experience with Cover My Insurance Broker. They did not clearly tell me about the £200 non-refundable fee before I took out the policy. If you need to cancel, change your car, or make changes to your insurance, you could lose £200 and still face additional charges. Be very careful and make sure you ask about all fees before buying a policy. In my experience, they were not transparent about these important costs.

We would like to clarify that all applicable fees are disclosed at the inception of the policy and are included within your policy documentation, including your policy schedule. These charges are also explained before the policy is arranged to ensure customers have the opportunity to review the terms.
Having reviewed your case, we can see that your original policy was not taken up (NTU), and a new policy was subsequently arranged. We can confirm that you were not charged any cancellation fees or policy set-up fees in relation to this.
The difference in premium arose because the information provided when the new policy was arranged differed from the original quotation. Insurance premiums are calculated using the details declared at the time of purchase, and changes to this information can result in a different premium being applied by the insurer.
We appreciate that changes in price can be frustrating. However, in this instance, the increase was due to the revised policy details rather than any cancellation or set-up charges.
If you would like us to explain how the revised premium was calculated, please contact our Customer Engagement Team and we will be happy to review this with you.

Please avoid waste of time good for just taking your money every time. I lost £250 because I cancelled a policy that I purchased 12 hours before paying £350 deposit and only receiving £91 back. Avoid your wasting your money.

Having reviewed your policy, we can see that a CUE (Claims and Underwriting Exchange) check was completed in line with the underwriting process before you decided to cancel your policy.
The refund you received was calculated in accordance with the policy terms and conditions. This included the non-refundable policy set-up fee of £150, a £100 cancellation fee, and the cost of the time the policy was on cover before cancellation. These charges were outlined at the inception of the policy and are applied in line with the agreed terms.
We appreciate that cancellation charges can be disappointing, particularly when a policy is cancelled shortly after being taken out. However, these fees are not applied arbitrarily and are calculated in accordance with the policy and finance agreement.
If you would like us to explain the refund calculation in more detail, please contact our Customer Engagement Team and we will be happy to talk you through it.

Cover My Cab provides insurance services for taxi drivers and does not offer mobile phone or gadget insurance. There is a separate company, Covermy.co.uk, which provides gadget insurance products.
As we have no involvement in the handling of mobile phone claims, we are unable to investigate or comment on the circumstances you have described. We would kindly ask that you review the company the policy was purchased through and consider removing or relocating this review to the correct business so that it can be addressed appropriately.

Extra charges for insurance is
Don't take cover my cab or cover my drive insurance.
Cover my cab and cover my drive they both same company. When their app not working in your phone they blaming you and they charging you extra for that one. Think many times before you do with cover my cap insurance. Other company business insurance mean you can drive delivery anything other businesses with your insurance but cover my cab charging you extra for that one

Thank you for your feedback. We would like to clarify that CoverMy Cab and CoverMy Drive are the same company, however, they are different insurance products. The CoverMy Drive product is a telematics-based policy provided by kintiQ , who are the underwriter for that product.
We can confirm that no additional charges have been applied for you having a telematics policy. The additional premium added to the policy relates to the No Claims Bonus information on the policy, which affected the underwriting terms.
We can also see that you emailed this morning, and the underwriter is currently reviewing the updated documentation you have provided to assess whether a return premium can be applied.
As soon as we receive an update from the underwriter, this will be communicated to you. We appreciate your patience while this review is being completed.
