Product is cheap from china. not worth the price i feel i got scammed!

Ordered from them early July, after having issues with the checkout on their website. I'm pretty sure I was gaslighted after reporting my problem. As I got a "we're not having any issues, try a different browser" response. Yet I didn't even need to do that. Just refreshed the cart page, and "suddenly" it all worked.

Everything appeared to be proceeding smoothly after that. At least until the FedEx fees came due. For whatever reason the total value listed in the Commercial Invoice by Covert Instruments' staff was almost double that actual order value. They tried to blame this on FedEx, despite the document being signed by Covert Instruments. This meant that the import duty, VAT, and disbursement fees requested by FedEx were almost double what I was expecting. After finally managing to get a response from FedEx (I had to raise a complaint) they gave me an e-mail address for Covert Instruments to send an updated Commercial Invoice to. Covert Instruments' staff claim that they can't to do this.

This means I'm left either returning the shipment or paying the fees and hoping Covert Instruments will stick to their offer to make up the difference. At this point I don't trust that they'd honour their offer of covering the cost difference, so I've asked FedEx to return to sender and will be seeking a full refund.

Wildly overpriced due to popularity of Lock picking lawyer.

I saw a video by LPL about these cool "Lishi Tools", and he charges $50 for them on the website.

Go on AliExpress and look up Lishi Tools, and you'll see the exact same item for sale there for $15-$20.

That should tell you everything you need to know about this shyster company.

Ordered my first set of picks from them, the Gensis set with lock cylinder, and was very impressed. Shipping was very fast, quality was good. My lock cylinder was missing a bag of key pins. I sent an email and had shipping info for the replacement parts right away.

I have since purchased a couple more kits, and some misc items from them. Very happy with their products.

Never had a bad experience. Matter of fact, one of my oick sets came missing pueces, amd they sent me more than what was missing.

Got my products later than expected. Over 10 days delivery, dont remember how long exactly, was a while ago (even though i payed top penny for first class premium delivery option) no reimbursement or refund or gift or even apology or anything. Just excuses , no idea or tracking or anything, just excuses that came up to rediculous and just plain made up! Like the royal mail being on strike (they were not, and i was receiving mail everyday). These products are not cheap either... There's a reason I payed top dollar for delivery, these are pricey products...
Ah, yes..the product materials are good and tools built with good dimensions and finish. One of the (most expensive) items I bought was very underwhelming and semi useless and came bent up and I had to repair it. But otherwise at least it came. And at least they responded. And at least its good quality materials. But trustworthy enough, just dont buy if you have time constraints.

I was excited about their sale (as, like I said, pricey) and it lasts to the same day I get payed. I was so happy id make it. Unfortunately it wasnt there on the day. Messaged them. no response. anyways. meh. good id say if youre going to make tools with the good shaped materials you can order from here.

Terrible customer service, you have to ask repeatedly for them to even answer your questions. Mostly I got answers arguing with me that they did answer my question instead of trying to answer it LOL. I ended up with a faulty lock with the wrong answer on how to fix the problem. I say look elsewhere, they got some flash, but no soul I saw.

Excellent costomer service, Had an issue with an item not functioning properly & received a reply within what felt like only a few minutes!!! & That's a 1st for me, customer service was efficient in asking for pics / video of the malfunction & just as quick to send out a replacement! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY. & Will continue to Especially If someone asks about my Fidget Toy "Gravity Pick" & i know they will!

For 10 bucks the FNG set was alright, I was sad that all my pics either bend or outright broke though (it was meant to be top quality steel...), besides that it was decent, great for learning!

Item never arrived. No real contact information. The only proof I have the order was even processed is the credit card charge.

No recourse other than requesting a chargeback.

I've been shopping with Covert Instruments for over a year now and their tools are great quality as well as easily replaceable for disposable pieces of equipment. Packaged well and quick shipping no complaints from me!

Ordered some tools over a month ago but they unfortunately got stuck in transit. I reached out to covertinstruments and got a quick reply, they replaced my order without any problems or extra costs. Extremely happy with the product and the customer service.

I have concerns about undisclosed payments for individuals outside of the UK, coupled with subpar packaging. I hope that LPL takes more proactive measures to vet the individuals they collaborate with and enhances their processes for better quality control.
