I received a palettful pack from my daughter in law years ago as a gift. I found it and wanted to use it but it had no instructions. After failing to find online instructions I contacted the company who put me in contact with Zara. She got back with me immediately and over the next 24 hours exchanged SEVERAL emails with me to help me. She was prompt, polite, and helpful on top of that!!! Customer service at its highest.

Cratejoy has such an amazing collection of different boxes. You can literally find something unique for anyone. Even better, when I had an issue with one of the sellers, Cratejoy's customer service followed up immediately and made sure that I got the box I paid for. Cratejoy is amazing!

Great Customer Service

I ordered a crate for my daughter’s birthday and the estimated shipping showed that it would arrive on time. The tracking on the item was never updated. My daughter’s birthday passed and so I reached out to customer service for more information, and ended up requesting a refund. They were able to research the non-responsive vendor and ended up giving me a full refund. The crate would have been great, but the customer service reps handled my situation professionally and timely. They were very kind and understanding and had great follow up!

Absolute s*show of an experience

Absolute s*show of an experience. We ordered a subscription box of tea for my son for Christmas, and they indicated it would be delivered in the days before. It never was. Customer service gave us the runaround and we ended up having to do a chargeback with our credit card. No actual products were ever received and we got our money back. Other than a disappointed teenager who really loves tea, there was no real harm.

5 months later we get an email telling us that our subscription has been updated. ??? So I reach out to support, and they tell me not to worry, that it was some sort of system update, and my "subscription is still active." That was, of course, news to me. So I reached back out and asked them to carefully review my account. The agent, Aldwin, responded that he had and that there was no problem with the subscription and deliveries would not be interrupted. So I asked Aldwin if I could speak with his manager, and that's when the communication stopped.

So, I waited a bit and emailed every public facing email address I could find for the company, including one of their founders. I finally got a response, and it was more incoherent backpedaling. I repeated my requests to speak to someone higher up until I got a response from someone with the exact same job title as Aldwin claiming to be his manager. Ok, I know that game. Then I got a very unprofessional email from Amir, the founder of the company I had included on their messages.

It's obvious this company is run by clowns who do not take information security serious. I would not give them your credit card number under any circumstances.

We didn't get what we ordered, had to actually have the credit card company take our money back because they wouldn't give it, and 5 months later they are still playing games. Stay FAR away.

Zero Customer Service at Cratejoy

Ordered a three-month keto snack subscription through Cratejoy as a gift and the recipient only received two of the three boxes. Since Cratejoy makes it impossible to interact with a human when there is a problem, and since their ai system never responded to my several complaints, the issue was never resolved. Do not use Cratejoy.

Hit or Miss Experiences

I ordered 2 subscription boxes from 2 separate distributors. One shipped rather quickly, and my youngest son was extremely happy with it! Working on the activities together was great bonding for us (a cooking box).

The box for my oldest son, a Pokemon box from a separate distributor, did not ship until I wrote Cratejoy support and repeatedly requested a refund. Even then, the distributor did not send a tracking number for the box they finally said they had shipped. It took a month before the distributor replied at all with any sort of status update.

Though I am highly disappointed in the lack of communication from the Pokémon box distributor, I am thrilled with the I'm a Chef Too box, and with Cratejoy's support team. Zara, in particular, was very understanding and communicative!

Reoccurring bill that I can't stop!!

I ordered a 3 month subscription that ended in December. But I was billed again in January. Spent some time working with human resources. Was reimbursed for January. But I was charged again in February???

Purchasing was easy

Purchasing was easy. I found what I wanted easily, and had no problems completing the transaction. There were a couple of issues with signing in and contacting the seller, but Zara was a great help, and the seller responded when they finally got my message.

Wow! They excel at customer service

Wow! I have never been so pleased with customer service. I had a small issue and it was rectified quickly. The customer service was helpful and friendly, they went above and beyond to make sure I was satisfied with the outcome. I have ordered in the past as a subscription box makes a great gift for those who are hard to buy for, and me of course! I will continue to be a repeat customer.

My daughter loved her Wild Woman Boxes

My daughter loved her Wild Woman Boxes! It was a nice unusual gift for her for Christmas! I love to support small businesses whenever I have the chance.
The only issue I had was when I first ordered, my daughter and I both were under the impression that it was one box, and that's what I paid for in December. I was shocked in January when I was charged for another box, and found out that I would be charged every month until I canceled. I thought that was misleading. I reached out and received excellent assistance from Zara, who explained. I ended up being okay with getting 3 monthly boxes before canceling. Zara helped me through that as well. I had difficulty with canceling but I immediately got assistance from Zara. She was great. I will order again because of her quick response. My daughter really loved the contents of each box!❤️

Did not want, support is useless

Received an email about an upcoming charge for a subscription that I never wanted and certainly did not want to renew. Contacted support because upon checking the site, there was no subscription showing (I wanted to see if the email was spam). Support said they'd look into it, but they never followed through and then, conveniently enough, the subscription renewed during their negligence. Never order from Cratejoy.

Save yourself a lot of trouble and…

Save yourself a lot of trouble and don’t buy from cratejoy!!! I have been fighting for months to get my third box that I already paid for and on top of that they randomly took another three months that I didn’t ask for!!! So watch your credit card and make sure they aren’t just taking money because they keep taking money and no boxes are coming!!! I would NEVER use cratejoy again.

Broken AI customer service

When something goes wrong, don't expect to be effectively helped. For months, every day I got almost the same e-mail from Cratejoy stating that they're so sorry they couldn't deliver, if I could let them know how they could make up. I literally told them 30ish times what could be a solution. Just getting the same question again in a bit different order the other day. It is okay to use AI, but this one is broken. Even if you ask for escalation to a real person, you get a confirmation that it will be handled by their specialized team but the next day getting the same question again; "how do you want to proceed?".
Not giving an answer results in closure of the ticket within days.

I would not recommend their service, especially if you're looking for a trustworthy service. Never received any refund or store credit.

TERRRIBLE EXPERIENCE WITH CRATEJOY! I canceled the order the same day I placed it. I confirmed that it would be canceled with Zara Smith. I canceled and have a confirmation email from Feb 14th that it was, in fact, canceled. I was told it was canceled and I would be refunded. Nope, shipped anyway and card was charged even with documentation that it was canceled.

I’m am so pleased with CrateJoy I had some difficulty with a gift subscription and Zara went above and beyond to make sure that all was resolved. In addition I received a 20% off one month subscription I am pleased with the service I received

Product never shipped

Product never shipped. After contacting Cratejoy and requesting a refund they took almost 2 months to give me a refund. They kept delaying and it took 6 refund requests and finally a threat to submit a complaint to BBB and Secretary of State before they finally refunded me for a product that was never shipped.

Ordered 3 mth subscription last November. Still waiting. Been communicating with customer support Zara Smith. I've been asking for a refund but I keep getting the same repeat questions including "Do you want a refund". Never answers my question or request. This is obviously an AI bot.
