We are deeply disappointed and frustrated with Cronetic, a CRM system that has repeatedly failed to prevent and address fraudulent activities despite multiple notifications and assurances. As a reputable business, Safemile Auto Transport has been severely impacted by fraudsters impersonating our company using the email domain "@safemilesautotransport.com" (note the extra 'S') to scam unsuspecting customers. These scammers are exploiting Cronetic's platform to carry out their malicious activities.
Three weeks ago, we contacted Cronetic to report this issue, and they initially responded by assuring us that immediate action would be taken to shut down the fraudulent account. Despite this assurance, the fraudulent activities continued. We reached out again, and Cronetic attributed the issue to a software vulnerability, promising once more that the account had been completely closed. Yet, to our dismay, the scammers are still able to send emails through Cronetic's APIs and email provider, even after the domain was shut down.
Cronetic's inability to effectively address this issue and their apparent lack of concern is unacceptable. Their platform's vulnerabilities have allowed scammers to continue their fraudulent activities, causing significant harm to our business and potentially many others. This case is now being investigated by detectives, and we will be reporting Cronetic for their role in enabling these scammers.
We strongly advise other businesses to avoid using Cronetic's services if they wish to protect their reputation and avoid dealing with similar issues. Cronetic's failure to act responsibly and their lack of adequate security measures make their platform a breeding ground for fraudsters. Take your business elsewhere if you want to avoid these serious problems.

Thank you for bringing this to our attention in such detail. From the moment we received your first report—despite Safemile not being an active subscriber—we opened an abuse-response case, gathered full log trails, and kept it active until every trace of the spoofing you flagged was shut down. Each time the bad actor resurfaces we invalidate the credentials they used, block the originating IP ranges, and add new sender-verification rules tailored to your brand.
Our investigation strongly suggests the attacker is someone who once had legitimate knowledge of—or access to—your domain assets and is now re-registering under slight variations to impersonate you. While we can’t yet confirm that theory, it matches the pattern we see: the same individual repeatedly tests fresh accounts right after the previous one is terminated. We’re sharing all telemetry with the detectives on the case and will continue to tighten protections until the abuse stops for good.
Cronetic is, at its core, a communications tool—no different from Gmail or any other large-scale email platform in that illegitimate users sometimes try to exploit it. The difference is how we respond: we suspend or delete offending accounts the moment we have evidence, escalate to upstream providers, and proactively deploy new safeguards rather than waiting for formal subpoenas. Fraud has no place on our platform, and we remain fully committed to working with Safemile and law enforcement until this actor is permanently neutralized.
