What an amazing experience! My wife and I spent four nights aboard the Dahabiya, sailing from Esna to Aswan, and it was truly one of the highlights of our trip to Egypt.

The Staff

The staff was absolutely incredible! Everyone worked tirelessly to make sure our needs were met and that our experience was memorable. They were always friendly, attentive, and welcoming. Every detail was taken care of, and the hospitality was outstanding throughout our stay.

The Boat and Amenities

The boat itself was beautiful! We were on Safiya #1. Everything was modern, updated, and extremely comfortable. Whether relaxing inside the dining area or lounging on the deck, there was always a wonderful place to unwind. One thing we especially appreciated was the layout of the boat. There were plenty of opportunities to socialize with other passengers, but also quiet, private spaces to relax and enjoy the scenery.

The Food

The food was phenomenal! The chef did an outstanding job, and every meal featured an incredible spread with plenty of delicious options. We especially enjoyed the variety, including authentic Egyptian dishes. The quality, freshness, and presentation of the meals consistently exceeded our expectations.

The Perfect Pace

One of our favorite aspects of the cruise was the pace. The balance between sightseeing and relaxation was absolutely perfect. We never felt rushed or exhausted from a long day of touring. There was always plenty of time to enjoy the simple pleasures of sailing the Nile: watching the sunrise or sunset, birdwatching, relaxing in the jacuzzi, or sipping tea or coffee while taking in the beautiful scenery. It was the perfect combination of adventure and relaxation.

Our Tour Guide – Hani

Our guide, Hani, was fabulous! His knowledge of Egyptian history was exceptional, and we learned so much from him at the archaeological sites we visited. He was personable, engaging, and had a wonderful way of making history both educational and entertaining. He truly added so much to our experience.

Experiencing Local Life

Another highlight was having the opportunity to experience everyday life in Egypt beyond the famous archaeological sites. Our visits to El Hegz Village, Bisaw Island, and a Nubian village were unforgettable. Getting a glimpse into the daily lives, traditions, and communities of local people added an entirely different dimension to our trip. These experiences made the journey feel even more authentic and meaningful.

Overall Experience

We highly recommend Dahabiya Nile Sailing! They are truly top-notch. If you're considering a Nile cruise, I would absolutely recommend choosing a Dahabiya over one of the massive cruise ships. The smaller, more intimate setting makes for a completely different experience, allowing you to truly appreciate the beauty and tranquility of the Nile. Dahabiya Nile Sailing takes that experience to another level.

We saw many other Dahabiyas along the river during our journey, and in our opinion, Dahabiya Nile Sailing had some of the nicest-looking boats on the water.

From the incredible staff and delicious food to the beautiful boat, fascinating excursions, and perfect balance of relaxation and exploration, this was truly a five-star experience.

We've spent a wonderful time on a dahabiya going from Aswan to Esna (Oct 9th-Oct12 th 2026). All perfect: organization, boat, crew, food, accommodation...and especially our guide Shaima...she alone made us consider doing a repeat trip. Loved everything...

Esperienza assolutamente fantastica, ben oltre le mie aspettative!

Premetto che non sono assolutamente una persona da crociera e, prima di partire, ero convinto che dopo un paio di giorni mi sarei annoiato. È stato esattamente il contrario: mi è piaciuta talmente tanto che, una volta arrivato alla fine, avrei voluto continuare per almeno un'altra settimana.

Il viaggio sul Nilo è stato semplicemente spettacolare. Le visite ai templi e ai vari siti archeologici sono state incredibili: vedere questi luoghi direttamente dal fiume e poterli visitare durante il tour ha reso l'esperienza davvero unica.

Una menzione particolare va al cibo, che ho trovato davvero ottimo e molto più vario e curato di quanto mi aspettassi. Tutto il personale è stato poi estremamente gentile, disponibile e simpatico, contribuendo moltissimo a rendere il soggiorno piacevole.

Le camere erano sempre ben tenute e pulite, e la nave era oggettivamente un sogno. Bellissima, curata e con un'atmosfera che sembrava uscita direttamente da un film: navigare sul Nilo, guardando il paesaggio scorrere lentamente intorno, è qualcosa che difficilmente dimenticherò.

Avevo prenotato il tour di 3 notti e 4 giorni, ma sinceramente sarei rimasto volentieri il doppio!

Un'esperienza che consiglio assolutamente a chiunque voglia visitare l'Egitto in un modo diverso e davvero speciale. Super consigliata!

The boat, amenities and service are amazing. The personnel so nice and welcoming. The food was delicious. As a vegetarian i was so happy. Waheed did an amazing job. We felt more than at home : like prince and princess ! The activities from temples to meeting locals and discovering different ways of life were so enjoyable especially thanks to our guide Moamen. His knowledge and his passion transpired from every word and smile. We made beautiful connections with other people on board too...
The amazing plus : the eco friendly and fair approach of that company. It is the bow on top of this amazing present we gifted ourselves !
