Excellent support and service, very proactive and that is appreciated being new to their API. I would highly recommend them as they are very responsive.

Credit built up over time, asked for a partial refund, they just linked to their terms of service saying they can't refund credit balances. Asked them to do it just this time, and I'll know for the future. They refused.

I’ve found DataForSEO API really solid if you’re building anything SEO-related at scale. You get reliable, real-time data across SERPs, keywords, backlinks and a lot more without having to mess around with your own scraping setup. I usually pair it with Claude or Cursor to turn that data into actual workflows (like weekly update on rankings, backlink alerts) pretty quickly. You can actually build an Ahrefs-like platform using their API, saving you loads every month. Overall, it feels more like a data backbone than just another SEO tool.

I had been using AHrefs for a while, but although it is very capable it is also very big and expensive. I came across DataForSEO via a question on ChatGPT. It is a very different concept, instead of being engulfed with a mass of all you can eat data, it is more like a fine dining a la carte experience. OK, it helps if you like APIs ... but once you get past that it allows you grab search engine rankings in *exactly* the way that suits you.

This API is seriously amazing! Been using it for around a year now, and I've been finding so many use-cases for multiple projects of mine, their documentation is neat and apparently they do good updates from time to time. Really recommend this.

I regret ever signing up for DataForSEO’s SERP screenshot service. I paid good money expecting accurate, clean captures of search results, but what I got was a mess of pop-ups/overlays. It’s almost laughable... except I wasted a ton of time and money on it. Worse, their so-called “support” offered no real solutions besides generic excuses, leaving me to patch together my own fixes. If you value your time and sanity, steer clear. This service feels more like an unfinished experiment than a professional solution. Definitely not recommended.
I am extremely frustrated with DataForSEO and its lack of service. If this company shut down completely, I wouldn't be disappointed... in fact, it might actually be a benefit to others. I've spent hundreds of dollars with DataForSEO, and honestly, I would have been better off burning that money for warmth.
