They broke my bonnet release & took over a week to fix it!

I booked my 16 y/o Cayenne in for a new door seal as the one on the B- Pillar had split from wear & tear. I was quoted approx £150 all in, and thought that was quite reasonable for a main dealership and was told the work would take 1 hour, so I booked in a wait in appointment for Saturday at 9:00am as I was travelling up from Penarth. When I got there the reception staff were absolutely fabulous and looked after us really nicely with refreshments. From the service reception we were looked after from Josh who also great. For some reason the service centre took over 3 hours to get the work completed and they did a real nice wash & vac and a Health Check and we left there approx 1:00pm. It actually become apparent why the job took so long as on Monday morning when I tried to open the bonnet I realised that the bonnet release handle was broken and the clip at the top of the handle was hanging out. I called Porsche Centre Newport and told them my findings and they completely denied it. I did have to remind them that they did a Health Check which involves opening the bonnet so it could have not been broken before I bought the car to them and the fact that it took so long in the workshop to fit the door seal and also that the bonnet release handle was lose and the clip looks as if it had been prised out with a screwdriver. Porsche Centre Newport said that they would have a look at it and that they could pick the car up on Tuesday and deliver it back the next day, so I agreed. The car was picked up and I never heard anything back from them on Wednesday so I called them about 4:00pm and the service manager Tom apologised and then told me that it was going to cost me £440 including the parts that were £62, I went absolutely berserk and told him that I would not be paying the sum of £440 for the damage caused by them and I was happy to get my solicitor involved. I told Tom that the most I would agree to is pay for the parts. Tom told me that he would talk to his manager and get back to me, which he did and said the that Porsche Centre Newport would cover the labour costs and the car would be completed and delivered back to me tomorrow, which was Thursday. Thursday at 3:00pm I called Porsche Centre Newport to ask them what time I was to expect my car to be delivered to me, and Tom told me that they had ordered the wrong part so I would not get my car back until tomorrow. Friday at 3:00pm I called Tom and he told me that it was actually the correct part but some of it was missing and with the weekend he could only get my car to me on Monday. Monday I called Tom at 3:00pm and he told me that some extra part are required and it will be done for tomorrow. Tuesday 3:00pm (and by this time I had used all the free lifts favours available up!) I called Tom to ask where is my car and he told me it is taking a bit longer than he expected and it would be finished tomorrow. I did ask him if it usually takes over a week to fit a bonnet release handle and he reluctantly replied no. Tom told me that he would call me in the morning. The following day Tom from Porsche Centre Newport called me to say the car was complete and that the parts were now £140, I was annoyed but just paid as I had been without a car for a week, and I did ask if he could throw in a few Porsche goodies for my daughter as a sweetener as we received such poor service which Tom agreed to, but unfortunately never did (if Tom would have kept to his word and thown in some goodie, I would not have left such a poor review). So in a nutshell, Porsche Centre Newport Service Centre staff tell lies and are not really concerned about their customers and leave them for over a week without a car and also take them a week to do a 3 hour job!

Porsche Centre South London

Porsche Centre South London

Very poor customer service, it takes 5 people, to just identify what the car was booked for, what was done, and whether the work resolved it. Not here to spread negativity, just sharing.

In hope that there is actually someone reading from Porsche, this review, they can get on with this case with my Porsche Panamera Turbo that had a clicking noise and get to the end of it.

I have paid about £7,000, but the customer service is poor and my car still has the same issue it had before bringing it in for service.

I would expect a little bit higher customer service for such a high brand, but the support I'm getting is poor quality.

And also, I believe this issue could be avoided or resolved swiftly if I would not be passed from one person to another person for over a few weeks. No one is actually able to say, "Hey, let me just resolve this so it's done."

And different people stating different things has created this confusion. If I would be advised that there is nothing that needs to be done but before I was advised that the work needs to be done, I would just pick up the car and do nothing with it, and definitely not spend the money for the work that's not needed. If all Porsche Panamera Turbos are clicking when driving over speed bumps, but I doubt that this is a reality for all Porsche Panamera users.

And if one of the advisors has just stated something wrongly, then why not deal with the advisor, rectify this? Apologize for incorrect works. Organize some kind of a discount or refund for unnecessary works that are caused by wrong statements or wrong diagnostics, but it's definitely not the customer's fault. I just brought it in for you to do the work and to pay you the money; that's as far as I can do as a customer.

Dragging this just creates more negative feelings and resentment, anger, and frustration, which does not contribute to great customer service.

Can you please make this a great experience and great customer service, that's okay that there are problems, but what matters is whether the problems are addressed or we put our heads into the sand and pretend that they don't, I could also remove this bad review if we can get this up to at least a good customer service, from poor to good, not even asking for excellent?

The only reason for leaving this review is hoping that someone actually will hear me and get on with this. If not, I just have to look for any other ways to knock a different door or reach a person who actually can do something about it, but till now I am just been ignored or passed around.

Guildford Porsche Centre. Used Porsche? Not interested.

I recently purchased a used Porsche Taycan and wanted it checked out by a main dealer, so emailed Porsche Guildford on Monday. By Friday I was disappointed to find they had not even acknowledged my email. I had heard anecdotally that some Porsche Dealerships just can’t be bothered, especially when it comes to a used car, but was surprised to find that it is apparently completely true. I guess I shall have to find a Porsche specialist garage, one that has an interest in serving customers.
