They refuse to respond to any forms of contract. They're charging me for a gym membership I never signed. And if I cancel the direct debit they add charges on.

Just checked my account after a while…

Just checked my account after a while and noticed two direct debits had been set up on my account without my knowledge! So far they have taken around £90 for I don’t know what!
I’m assuming it was for gym membership I cancelled quite a while ago, but seeing as I only had to give a months notice I don’t see why they are taking money, or how they have the power to take money without any contact. Will be reporting this.

I had two direct debits on my bank…

I had two direct debits on my bank account to his company. I had no idea what for or who DFC were. I am usually really sceptical of companies who only offer an online contact form but filled it in and got a reply within two working days. I was expecting some cryptic answer or to get quoted some data protection reason why they couldn’t tell me but they just said exactly who it was to (third party finance to be vets for a prepayment plan for two pets) and immediately solved the mystery. Thank you to Skye who responded.

I would recommend to any persons do not…

I would recommend to any persons do not enter into a contract with this company, due to illness I am not able to continue going to gym, paused the membership within the 12 month period of contract, but because they have not received 12 months worth of payment you are not able to end of contract!! How ridiculous. There is no flexibility with this company.

Set up a direct debit without my authorisation or knowledge!

I checked my bank recently and saw that 2 direct debits have been set up without my authorisation or knowledge to this company.

I emailed them and they asked for my membership, which of course I don’t have as I’ve never set up one. I then called them and they said that there’s nothing I should be paying etc.

Of course I’ve cancelled the direct debits now and have spoken to them. However I’m more angry that I’ve never authorised direct debits to this company and they’ve managed to set one up in my bank, without permission or even my knowledge. If I hadn’t checked my direct debits, I wouldn’t have known.

Unprofessional communication from this scam company

Apparently this company yoinked 81 pounds from my bank yesterday. No wonder I didn't have any money to pay for my commute to work. I was 4 hours LATE!!!

Looked further into it and they just sent me a vague email about me owing them gym money. My gym membership expired in June/July 2023 and all of a sudden they were chasing upon it in February of 'Unpaid Direct Debit Payment' what payment????

Going to contact my bank after work for a refund. This is unprofessional...

am being charged £51 for something i never signed up to. hoping my bank reimburse this as it seems the company themselves do not give a toss about the fact they are charging random people for a custom they did not sign up for.

Edit: no I won’t be contacting you. You’re a bogus company that have been wrongly collecting money from me and others and getting away with it for months. You deserve to be shut down

Fraudest obtaining people details and taking money

Exactly same issue a direct debit has been set up without my acknowledgement.
Do not owe any money to gyms or anything like that .
Fraudest !! Will be ringing my bank to reverse any charges and also blocking any further direct debits
If this has anything to do with gyms , that these cost don't exist as all my gym membership if had any were cancelled in accordance to the gym polices . All my gyms membership have been a monthly subscription I.e jd gym or the gym with a month cancelling period .
In my case I am being charged for absolutely no reason , none of the gyms I have been with had raised any issues regarding owing money either.

They fake a direct debit on my account…

They fake a direct debit on my account with information from Nuffield Health which I informed before the membership payment of £41 on the 23/10/23 pf a stroke a head on 14/10/23. I'm still not mobile and my stroke disabilities could still take months and these bad people are hunting for money I don't own them.

FRAUD!!

Set up a direct debit with these to pay a debt I owe. Not a gym etc.
2nd time they've taken a payment. 2nd time my banks cancelled my card and issued a new one for fraud!!
Company is not legit. Everytime they take a payment. I'm issued a new card because the system has flagged up fraud. This is now twice its happened.
Direct debit with the company is now cancelled and they'll never have access to my bank again. Absolute scumbags.

Left my gym two years ago

Left my gym two years ago and they emailed two days ago saying I owe this month's membership fee.

Not a chance. Also all authority was removed when the gym owner cancelled my membership.

Unauthorised Direct Debit taken- have no idea who they are!

Fraud??? these people have taken a DD from my account in the last few days that I have no idea about, I can see in a Google search that they take payments for gyms and leisure centres however I have not been to the gym for years, and Barclays were very little help. hoping I can get my money back or at least some explanation on how a company like this can just set up a direct debit and take money without someones permission

Wouldn’t even give 1 star if I had the choice. Disgraceful company, they accuse you of lying and give you no choice but to pay. They are rude and threatening. I will definitely think twice before signing up to anything that involves this company in future. Should be ashamed of yourselves. Oh and ignore the crappy little replies that give on this to email them, they just tell you exactly what you’ve already been told and aren’t interested in helping at all.

A Disheartening Experience with an Incompetent Administrative Team

I am writing to express my dissatisfaction with the service I have received regarding my recent attempt to cancel my membership. I initially reached out via email several days ago and received no response, prompting me to follow up today. Subsequently, I learned that my 12-month membership is set to expire in accordance with our agreement. Accordingly, I provided the required notice for membership cancellation via email on November 29th, 2023, due to relocation. However, my frustration escalated when I received a request from Kirsty in the Administration Team, asking for my bank statements as evidence. I am perplexed by this request, especially given that my membership is naturally concluding. I have only my tenancy agreement as proof of relocation, and I fail to comprehend why additional evidence is necessary in this context. I kindly request that someone more competent in this matter reach out to me promptly to provide clarification on the requested evidence and ensure a smooth resolution to this matter.
