Devour Rome 10/2025 tour
Used Devour Rome tour in Nov 2021 and it was excellent so went again in Oct 2025. Comparatively, 2025 experience was extremely disappointing. Neither food nor ambiance of current restaurants could compare to our 2021 experience. Will not participate in or recommend a Rome tour again.

Great cultural experience!

Poor value for money
We felt that Gorka was very well informed but a bit too intense. He allowed his political views to overshadow the reason we were on the tour.
The venues we were taken to were very busy and we had no chance to sit down and enjoy the food and drink.
We also felt that the cost far outweighed the value we received. At £120 each I expected far more. Probably no more than £30 worth.
Certainly wouldn’t do another one

Alexandra is extraordinary!!!
Our guide/hostess Alexandra!!! She took the time for introductions all around so everyone was comfortable and then led us on a wonderful tour of her city and some tapas bars - what fun! The food and drink were great but it was Alexandra's narrative that made it all spectacular! We felt like we were having an extended meal with family or friends and Alexandra was the hostess leading the way! Magnificent!

Excellent guide and great establishment selections
Our guide was very knowledgeable and friendly! We had so much fun on our tour! The restaurants that were selected for our walking tapas tour were off the beaten path and had more of a local flavor. I highly doubt we would have known about any of these places if it hadn’t been for our tour.

Fun, yummy and a great value!
The walking food tour of Paris was fun, interesting, and an overall great value! The food stops were informative, delicious, and a few times interesting. The guide (Cecelia) was informed, pleasant, and a great guide!

Great food and some local knowledge
We've done a couple Devour tours. Not only does the tour cover great spots to eat and drink within the city, you get knowledge on the history of each establishment and its surroundings. Taking a walking tour early on also helps to orient you as you explore on subsequent days of your visit.

Highly Recommend Devour Tours
I have taken Devour tours in Madrid, Lisbon, Venice, Florence, Barcelona, San Sebastián/Donastia, and maybe a few more that I'm forgetting at the moment - but they are always excellent. I really like that they feature local places, many with a history. The guides are informative, the food and wines are always great. My only complaint is that I've never been able to activate the discount for the next tour because it comes on my phone and my phone usually doesn't have service right then.

The tour was advertised as a small…
The tour was advertised as a small group tour but ended up with at least 20 people. This made it difficult to understand the guide. Also we were told there would be special rooms shown but instead many were bypassed. The tour guide did her best but I feel we were shortchanged based on what we paid.

We do try to cover as much as possible in the time period given and unfortunately, certain venues restrict some areas at times due to preservation works and religious reasons.

Tapas & Taverns Foodie Tour of Barcelona
Our guide was excellent. Besides the main focus, food of Barcelona, he had great knowledge of the history. Expecting just small tastes at each of the four stops, we were overwhelmed with the quantity & quality of the food & drinks! Definitely felt like the tour was a great value. Expect a lot of walking but the small group was considerate of a couple of 72 year olds and never ditched us!
