They just provide what's advertising. Deliver stuff from one place to another. Simple, reliable and with very competitive prices. Needed some extra stuff for my aunt returning for US to Romania. Done! Delivered to her door just few days later after she come back. Clever, and you can ship without carry or checked luggage constraints of airlines.

packaged arrived completely damaged and unusable. Money was not refundable (insurance only covers lost/stolen packages). Most importantly, the company was not transparent about the fees. It claimed that the amount I was paying them covered all shipping fees and "clearing customs". However, when the package arrived at the UK boarder, I received a notification from DHL stating that I need to pay a £159.44 import tax in order for the package to be allowed to enter the country. Clearly American baggage did not clarify to customs that this item was not being imported for resale. Moreover the high tax must have been calculated based off of the product value I provided to American baggage for the insurance, which was the price I paid for the product when it was new (i.e. replacement cost). Note that I am currently disputing this with UK customs via the HMRC website since the item was not for resale. However, it has been a few weeks and I have not heard back.

I needed to return from Singapore short notice and this company was very professional and honest. There were several local Singapore shipping companies that were trying to scam me for exorbitant prices but these guys managed my shipment from customs back to the US. There were so many issues I would have incurred with having my things moved out and handed over to customs without these guys. They were very honest and even gave me tips on saving money with the initial shipment of my household goods to Singapore. Outstanding and honest customer service! So sorry I’m late writing this review I promised to do a while back.

Great customer service and straightforward instructions for a shipping newby. Would definitely use again

We shipped our personal items through discountshipping.us. There has been poor communication regarding our shipment, only providing updates upon request. There are repeated delays and usually zero explanation is provided. Prior to payment the company provided a shipping estimate of 6 weeks, but the shipment finally arrived at 21 weeks after drop-off. I asked for a partial refund but was told it was out of their control. Looking through reviews online I found others who had the same experience, so I doubt that this is repeatedly out of their control. The shipping took approximately 19 weeks. The final two weeks were due to customs, it would have been nice if they would have provided me ANY information about customs prior to shipment to smooth the transition. Approximately half of our shipment is children's clothing which no longer fits them and/or is the wrong season. We have had to buy much new clothing, obviously at our expense. Would not recommend unless you are okay with your stuff arriving about 6 months late.
