Scam, buyer beware

After 7 trips to the property I'm still experiencing issues. Won't replace it and I'm left without a working range for 4 months and counting now.

the endless slowroll

D&G sent technicians to attempt to repair my refrigerator four times over the course of six weeks, all repair attempts have failed. the service technicians agree that the refrigerator is unrepairable.
we have been without a refrigerator for almost six weeks. d&g customer service helpline can provide no information or way to contact anyone empowered to make a decision about either replacing my refrigerator, as the contract specifies, or releasing me from my service contract.

we have insulin dependent people in our family and have lost hundreds of dollars worth of medication and food at this point and we cannot even get a supervisor on the phone to confirm that any decision will be made, let alone have this refrigerator replaced as the contract would demand.

we have called daily for weeks. emails are not responded to, not even automated responses, let alone a human.

it is impossible to contact anyone with authority to make any decisions at this company, and they will waste weeks of your life to avoid making one.

Billed TWICE for the same appliance!

My Washer broke down, I purchased a replacement and purchased a plan from Domestic & General. Last May someone added a second policy on the same appliance - that I've been paying for. I was unaware of this travesty until I called today to return a phone call- not knowing what they had called about. The Associate made sure the additional policy was cancelled and requested a refund to me for the double billing. How can this happen?

This company does not honor their contract

This company does not honor their warranty. I purchased my whirlpool washing machine three years ago. I had a warranty with Whirlpool then I bought a warranty with D&G an extended warranty for them to just recently cancel my warranty. They stated my warranty was canceled due to breach contract because they refused to replace my washer it cost $800 to fix I paid $75 for technician to come out an get estimate this Company promised that they will reimburse me if I called a different company technician they haven’t reimbursed me. They asked me also to pay $500 outed my pocket to have washer repaired due to a technician at diamond factory another awful company stating that my Home was not suitable for him to come back out which my home is very clean instead of them sending out another tech they went on with that technician stated which happens to be the only technician in my area so of course he did not do the job correctly the first time so he did not want to come out the fourth time because he had been to my home three times. He did not wanna come out the fourth time and complete the job which he knew the job was $500-$800 to repair due to the switch board needing to be replaced and transmission I was also going back back-and-forth with Barbara on e-mail She wanted me to pay out-of-pocket she stated I need history on that washer so we need a repair person to come out and at least try to repair it at this time. I stated a repair person has been out to my home three times already this washer is $500-$800 to repair. It can be replaced who will repair for that amount I do not recommend this service ever this company for a warranty please avoid. They do not honor their warranty. They want you to pay out-of-pocket and they’re not honest and they only have one executive manager who makes the decision and makes a very bogus decision without replacing or making
Sure, the customer is satisfied and meeting the customer needs and not only that carrying out their warranty policy why would I pay out-of-pocket $500-$800 for a washer repair when that’s a price of brand new washer just replace its been such a big hassle for the last three months I will never do business with this company

Excellent service and a wonderful experience

The whole experience: from booking online, being able to select a date and time to fit my schedule, ability to describe the issue in detail, receiving the notifications regularly to confirm the appointment and when the technician was on their way. The technician came prepared with the correct parts and was done within 30 minutes.

Charged my card and didnt send over the service agreement, had a appointment scheduled and no one has come and the communication sucks!!! They said they were going to send me an email and no one has sent anything. I want my money refunded.

D and G is a scam

We had a Maytag washer that should have had a 10 year warranty and quit working. The unit was just under 4 years old. When I called Maytag they connected me to D and G. They scheduled a repairman who came out 3 times to try and repair and determined it was not repairable. His determination was not sufficient and they sent him out again to video what he had switched out. From that point on it really went downhill. After a couple of months of D and G blaming the repairman that he had not contacted them and the repairman saying he had sent the information to them at that time 8 different times, D and G suddenly started claiming that they don’t replace the appliance if it is bad. They are now only willing to pay us back what we had paid so far for the warranty. Do not waste your money, they will do everything they can to avoid living up to what they promise. We ended up having to buy a new washer and no, it was definitely not a Maytag or Whirlpool.

Domestic and General sold us a bill of…

Domestic and General sold us a bill of goods on three appliances, and then after 4 months of back and forth with service calls, said that they could not fix the problem because it was a "pre-existing" condition. All of this after sending out someone 5 times to fix the oven and then asking us to pay for a second opinion—which they promised to reimburse us for.

This has been extremely frustrating. Their internal processes and documentation are useless. They have no idea who their customers are or what they have committed to. They are unable to provide customers with even the most basic service. I would never purchase an extended warranty from them.

They have agreed to refund our policies but cannot commit to returning the $95 service fee for the 2nd opinion they requested and promised to reimburse. Unbelievable.

Scam company

KitchenAid refrigerator was stopped working and service was scheduled. Over the course of a month the repair company was out 4 times. In the end they said it was not economically reasonable to fix the coolant leak and marked it as unrepairable. I contacted D&G 3 times and they said they had no record that it was marked as unrepairable. I contact the appliance repair company 3 times and was told they did indeed mark it as unrepairable. Now D&G wants to charge me $70 to cancel my contract. They refuse to call the appliance repair company.
