We refunded your t-shirt within 18 hours of receiving your return

You actually left this review before your return had reached us.

I did email you letting you know this (with proof of your return delivery tracking) but you replied, saying you still felt your review was fair.

We quoted a 5-7 working day dispatch when you placed your order. We did actually dispatch your order on working day 8 so I am sorry for the delay - I did email you to apologise for the delay & said we’d dropped the ball because I was being honest & transparent about how it was a day late.

I’m sorry that your t-shirt didn’t fit. The measurements we list are the exact dimensions of the t-shirts & our men’s tees are a standard relaxed fit. We're always happy to exchange sizes if needed.

I do feel that a 1* review is a little harsh (& perhaps could be reserved for companies that don’t deliver/send faulty goods etc).

Thanks for your review — we’re really glad to hear you love the t-shirts!

Just to clarify, our dispatch timeframe is 5–7 working days, which is clearly shown at checkout and across our website. This order was dispatched on working day 6, so within that window.

All of our items are hand-printed to order and carefully gift wrapped, rather than pulled from pre-made stock, which is why our turnaround is a little longer than some larger retailers.

We do appreciate the feedback & we hope you want to add more DFTB tees to your collection in the future!

Hi Susan,

I’m genuinely sorry that you didn’t like your Mystery Bear Box. We take a lot of care with every box we send out. Lucy & I choose the colours that go into each box carefully so that there are a variety (not just different shades of the same colour). As for designs, I choose which designs go into each Mystery Bear Box. Again, I always make sure there is a varied selection (i.e. no box will ever contain just pocket sized prints).

I appreciate that you say you don’t like the colour of your hat, but a lot of customers buy our colourful hats so that’s why we sometimes include them in the Mystery Bear Boxes.

With regards to the Ghost Bear print. This is one of my favourite designs and we have just re-released it last week and have made the design larger and bolder. I’m sorry you didn’t like it, but it is a very popular design for us.

If you felt I gave you poor customer service then I’m sorry, but I was polite when you reached out to say that you didn’t like your Mystery Box and I only asked if you thought a 1 star review was an appropriate rating for your order.

Below is a copy of the email I sent you:
“Hi Susan, Thanks for your message — I’m really sorry to hear the box didn’t hit the mark, that’s never what we want.

Just to reassure you on the Ghost Bear sweatshirt — it’s actually just been re-released and it’s one of my personal favourites at the moment.
We’ve even been featuring it in our latest Instagram posts, so it’s definitely not old or leftover stock.

We put a lot of care into every Mystery Box and never include old seasonal bits (like Christmas or Halloween items). Everything is chosen to feel like a proper treat, so I’m genuinely sorry this one missed the mark for you.

I also spotted your 1-star review on Trustpilot. I completely understand feeling disappointed, but as a tiny family business, reviews like that do have a big impact on us. We always try our best with every order.

If you’re open to it, I’d really appreciate you having a think about whether a 1-star review feels fair here — especially as the items aren’t faulty, just not quite your taste.

Hi Jason. I'm sorry for the delay with your exchange. Every item is hand printed to order and this includes exchanges. Once we receive an item to exchange, we have to hand print the different size, gift wrap it and post it out. This takes a little longer than if we were just picking something from a warehouse but I hope our products are worth the wait. Best wishes - Tom
