We did a one month tour of India and Nepal with DIPT. From the onset Mukul worked with us to personalize the tour to exactly what we wanted. From the second we landed to the time we left we felt 100 percent comfortable- Mukul was on call 24/7 to help us with any potential questions we might have. They were creative bringing us to Leh which many tourists miss but turned out to be a highlight of the trip that we are still talking about. The drivers were always on time and professional. We met their families and learned so much about India. We are friends with them to this day. The trip was incredibly stress free and so memorable. It was worth every penny. If you want to do India in style look no further.

India can be a daunting place to travel to for an American. The distance from home, the cultural differences… the unknown. DIPT made our dreams come true… a place that seemed so far away and different … felt like home after our INCREDIBLE experience.
We spent 32 days on the trip of a lifetime constructed by the amazing trip-planning expert, Mukul. We drove from Delhi through the Himalayas… stopping for hiking, camping (or glamping) and finished in Leh by motorcycle with 40 foot Buddha statues, prayer wheels and mountain backdrops.
I do not consider myself or my husband to be outwardly adventurous, but this trip brought out the adventure in us. Mukul, an expert mountain climber, provided us with mountain sickness medicine better than our doctors in the US and guided us through each step of each path on each hike (by hand - if necessary - when I became nervous). Moreover, if you are looking to share your experiences with your friends from home, look no further, because Mukul is an incredible photographer and videographer. His knowledge of technology and the landscape created pictures of a lifetime…

Our driver, Sanjay made us feel like we were traveling with a forever friend. He instantly made us feel at home… in fact, we have missed him dearly since our return home. If you want someone who looks out for you like family, he is your man. Taking us to his home to meet his family and share a meal with them was one of the most memorable of all the days… and then when we returned to Delhi to head home, his uncle Omeer gave us a memorable tour of Old Delhi. Again, we felt like we were with family.

The guides in each of the cities were incredible. Vicram in Agra, one of the best!

Overall, for a place that seemed far away and unknown at first… India became a home away from home because of DIPT. I cried when we left. It seemed impossible that a place that seemed foreign at first, could capture such a large piece of my heart and remain with me forever… and I attribute that to this incredible tour company.

Probably the most intense trip of my life.
I decided to tour Rajasthan on my own, but for travelling from one city to another (some of these cities cannot be reached by train, such as Mandawa) I relied on drivers india tour. A great experience, moving with a local person who has a story to tell is a real experience! While travelling I got to know my driver better and within a few days we became practically friends. I hope to return to India and if I do I will definitely use this service.

We did our 2 weeks trip with Ajit Kumar, our driver, who picked us up at the airport and ever since he joined us through the whole journey.

He is a very serious person, with great personality, kind heart and incredible disposition to help us at all time. We have became great friends even!
The company provides fast solutions to all the questions we might have before, during and after our trip. Providing an amazing car (Toyota Innova) with all time Air Conditioning and incredibly comfort seats. Even giving us cold bottled water whenever we need.

We will come back to India happily, and enjoy other areas, no doubts about it! The company made an incredible planning for us as well, where we REALLY felt like we were on holidays.

DIPT are a very professional company and I had the pleasure of dealing with Pankaj in organising our tour. He is friendly, professional, helpful and polite. Pankaj met us at Delhi airport upon our arrival and had our driver, Rajesh Shekhawat, with him. Once Pankaj left us, Rajesh made us feel very welcome by his polite, friendly and laid back demeanour. The drive to Agra from Delhi was enjoyable and conversation flowed throughout the journey. He gave us tips and helpful information on what to expect and how to handle those situations. Before long, it felt like we were chatting to an old friend! He was really interested in us, as we were him, of our lives in different countries and continents. His driving is amazing! Given the way traffic works in India, he handled things so well and with patience, at the same time, pointing out the different types of drivers. He has brilliant knowledge of the areas we visited, and gave extra information, pointing things out as we went along. He kept us entertained with some very interesting and hilarious stories! Not only would we recommend DIPT to friends and family wanting to tour in India, but we’ll make sure they ask for Rajesh as their driver. We will certainly be doing that if we visit again! I booked driver India private tours on the strength of good reviews.I wasn't disappointed. Mukel kept in contact and replied immediately to any queries. I was very pleased to receive a message confirming the pick up time when I arrived in India.Our driver Surjeet Singh was brilliant.He was always on time and took us to amazing places on our golden triangle tour .Surjeet returned each evening to take us to some lovely restaurants that he could personally recommend. We also used Dipt to take us to and from the airport. The driver was always there to meet us.We are so pleased that we used this company and can highly recommend them.

After deciding to visit India for the first time and after doing a lot of research on the internet I found DIPT which had a lot of excellent reviews on Tripadvisor. From my first email I was impressed with the service and suggested itinerary. Subsequent emails with Mukul resulted in a tailored 18 day tour for me and my husband. I was provided with a choice of hotels and was able to review them before confirming I was happy. I never felt pressured into anything and Mukul was happy to answer any questions I had. I wanted to travel to Goa by train after the tour and after being advised of potential fog problems by Mukul I shifted the dates of the holiday to hopefully avoid this. Although not part of the tour, Mukul booked our train tickets for us and even escorted us to the station to make sure we were on the correct train!

I was a bit apprehensive about the booking and to some extent it was a leap of faith but I was comforted by the excellent reviews. I needn't have worried though. Mukul met us at Delhi airport when we arrived and escorted us to our hotel. We had chosen 2 nights in Delhi just to get over the flight. We were given a guide in Delhi to visit some monuments but at the end were taken to a carpet shop and felt very pressurised into buying something which we declined. I raised this with Mukul and he assured us he would raise it with the guide and to be fair it didn't happen again during our tour.

We then flew to Varanasi where we met our driver, Manohar (Manu), for the next two weeks. He was great and we learned a lot about the culture from him. Even though the driving in India is mad at best we always felt safe with Manu who drove with care and patience at all times. The car was always clean and he was always on time and gave us lots if help and tips throughout. Our guide in Varanasi, Ranjit, was very good and went out of his way to involve us in the local celebrations. From there we visited Khajuraho, Orchha, Agra, Ranthambhore, Jaipur, Udaipur and back to Delhi.

We loved Khajuraho, Jaipur and Udaipur - our guide, Himanshu, in Jaipur was excellent. We went on an exclusive jeep safari in Ranthambhore and were lucky enough to see a tiger which came right up to the jeep - breathtaking!

We didn't like the hotel in Orchha (Hotel Bundelkhand Riverside) as it was dirty but I raised this with Mukul who said they wouldn't use it again. Apart from this the hotels were lovely - hotel Surya (Varanasi) The Lalit (Khajuraho) Atulyaa Taj (Agra) Jungle vilas (Ranthambhore) Khandela Haveli (Jaipur) Lake Pichola (Udaipur) Metropolitan Spa (Delhi) - especially liked hotels in Khajuraho, Ranthambhore, Jaipur and Udaipur.

Mukul sent me WhatsApp messages throughout the tour to ask if we were ok and how things were going. Nothing seemed to much trouble.

At end of tour we flew back to Delhi from Udaipur and was met by Mukul again with Sanjay the driver. Sanjay took us to more sights the following day and went out of his way and showed us the Sikh temple and a tour of the kitchens where they feed 10000 people every day.

We enjoyed everything about our tour and would recommend DIPT without hesitation. Mukul has even contacted me to check we were ok on the train and that we had reached Goa safely.

We had an amazing adventure in India. There are a multitude companies offering group touring holidays, but for those wanting a more private tailored experience then I can thoroughly recommend DIPT.
