Been with Eden Torbay for the last 9 years and everytime it came to trading my car in I’ve had nothing but top quality service. My recent one was a man called Ben, very helpful and knowledgeable. He’s an asset to the business and his customer service skills are second to none. Highly recommended
The worst customer experience I’ve had
Eden Wokingham - The worst customer experience I’ve had, not just from a car garage but in general. Couldn’t honour the agreement, the brand new car turned up with a dent in the door (apparently) after it already being 2 weeks late, the second car came in but then the finance system was down for 30 hours (apparently) even though their competitor who uses the same system had 0 issues, they valued our car then took off over 2k when the deal was actually looked at, this was after 7 weeks of placing the order and them confirming in writing they would give me the same price for our car that was valued 7 weeks ago but somehow dropped 2.3k in that 7 weeks (their problem not mine). Ian the main manager tried blaming it on his sales guy and that he had over priced our car even though Ian had signed the purchase order form for our car on the day. Chased for updates as wasn’t given any until I had chased, they missed every deadline and milestone of the order. Do not buy a car from them. I went to Snows in Basingstoke and within 2 working days had the car tagged to me, finance approved (same system as Eden) and docs signed ready to be picked up all in 5 days, it took Eden 7 weeks to come up with nothing but lies and under promises.

Brilliant Experience
The whole experience has been really great. I was very nervous as I’ve never got such a good car before from a place like Eden Vauxhall. Zach from start to finish was just brilliant. He made the test drives very comfortable and explained everything every step of the way. He was helpful, informative and made everything clear that I was signing and what the next steps were for me getting the car. I’m so pleased with my car and experience I would highly recommend!!

Extremely Disappointed – Avoid This Garage
I took my car to Vauxhall Eden Reading to investigate and potentially fix a few issues, but I left completely dissatisfied. I asked them to look into three specific concerns I had with the car, and they wanted £150 per issue just for a diagnostic test—a total of £450 just to tell me what’s wrong, before even discussing any repair costs. I’ve never experienced such pricing in any other garage.
To put this into perspective, one of the three issues was simply a tyre that was slowly losing air pressure. They still wanted £150 just to check that—money that could’ve easily gone towards a brand-new tyre!
What really frustrated me is that none of this was mentioned during the booking process. Only when I arrived there did they inform me of the charges and ask me to sign off on them. It felt misleading and unfair.
Even though they charge such high prices just to diagnose the issues you ask them to check, they still carried out a complimentary “vehicle health check” (which I didn’t request), conveniently identifying seven additional faults with a total estimated repair cost of over £2,500! (extremely overpriced everything)—for a car that passed its MOT test on the first attempt just five months ago and has only done 2,000 miles since. Some of the findings I genuinely doubt, such as a supposedly leaking coolant pump, which I’ve closely monitored since, and there’s absolutely no sign of a leak.
Also, don’t expect anything to be fixed on the same day. I booked the appointment more than a week in advance, dropped the car off at 8am when they opened, and didn’t hear back until 4pm with the diagnostic results. Any repair work would have required either leaving the car overnight or booking another appointment.
To anyone reading this: save yourself the stress, time, and money—AVOID THIS PLACE. I deeply regret going there and will absolutely not return.

It was time to change my car leased on the Motability scheme. My son suggested we check out the Vauxhall Grandland as this is a large car that would meet our need.
My first point of contact was Scott. Scott arranged a convenient time for myself and my family to test drive the car.
During our visit, Scott explained pretty well everything about the car, there wasn’t one question he couldn’t answer. He then accompanied us on the test drive, again talking us through the functions of the car.
Back in the showroom we decided to buy the car. We had seen three other vehicles from other manufacturers and before our visit and meeting with Scott I had actually decided on another vehicle but changed my mind!
The paperwork was signed and then it was a waiting game for changeover day.
Between signing the paperwork and collecting the car, Scott called me four times to give progress updates, great service…
Collection day, on our way to the showroom to collect our new car, I received a call from Brian, he informed me Scott had called in sick so wouldn’t be there to manage the handover, again great customer service.
Handover was handled by Ryan. Ryan informed me that he may take a bit longer than if Scott was doing it as this was his first Motability sale. Ryan apologised for duplicating some of the things Scott had gone through with us, he explained that he wanted to ensure everything was done right..
Ryan was a super friendly young man, he went out of his way to ensure we were looked after and happy with our new car.
I have to be honest, this was by far the best Motability purchase I have ever had…
