(bullshit reason)
I ordered several rose bushes from Edmunds in one transaction. Not only was the order delayed in transit, but some of the roses were dead within 3 days of planting. When I contacted Edmunds, they wanted me to provide a long narrative of how I planted the roses, so I complied…in detail. Their non-empathetic reply was that they don’t guarantee roses that are on sale. They could’ve led with that!! THE WORST PART is, now…5 months later, Virginia Buttonweed is invading my entire yard. I first noticed it beside the roses from Edmunds that lived. I have NEVER experienced such an invasive weed here, and it came from Edmunds.
I ordered 5 plants. They were in transit for close to TWO WEEKS. I had them planted professionally in a row - so all plants were treated the same. 3 plants failed. Edmunds refused to send replacements, also said anything sold on sale is not covered. Terrible company, terrible product. I would NEVER trust these people again.
I purchased 5 roses from Edmunds, all bare root. They only sent 4, I had to request a refund for the last one. One month after planting all in the same flowerbed, one hasn't greened up nor produced any shoots even after adding the fertilizer purchased from the company. I reached out to edmunds and was told there's no guarntee because they were on sale and I had 72 hours to tell them that the bare root plant didn't look healthy after delivery. It's quite disappointing and frustrating to waste money on a company that finds reasons not to warranty their product, even after asking for pictures.
bare root rose received clearly not stored properly after harvest. Probably not kept in cold storage and budded out like white asparagus. they have a problem with their grower but with long phone waits and hostile employees I would not use this company again.
I bought 10 bare root roses. Over half died the same year. I contacted customer service. They wanted photos so I sent them. I'm an experienced gardener and argued with them about the poor quality. They finally issued a credit of which I will never use. Who wants to buy junk? Over the first winter all but one died. That is one very expensive rose bush. I have replaced the ones that died from local nurseries and all are growing beautifully. Don't buy from this company you'll only be disheartened.
I bought a rose that is supposed to be a bright orange, it's yellow. I bought 4 this year, two thar didn't take. I sent an email and because they were a BOGO SPECIAL, they are not guaranteed to grow! That's $52 I'll never get a thing from! I been buying from these folks for years, but I'm done now.
I purchased three bare root roses from Edmunds Roses and with that purchase came three other bare root roses free of charge as part of their Bogo sale. When the three roses I paid for in full failed to grow, I contacted Edmunds Roses. First they asked me for photos as proof, then they decided not to refund or replace the three roses I purchased, claiming it was because they were part of a Bogo deal. I paid in full for the three roses that did not grow!
I ordered over $400.00 worth of roses last spring. Two are beautiful.
I called many times and e-mailed photos of dead plants. This morning their response was we never received them.
What a rotten company. Now I read the reviews and see how stupid I was to order from your company.
Now I m calling credit card company, they are crooks.
Bought 2 Rio Samba roses. Both arrived sick with die-back. Black stems that continued to get progressively worse. Their guarantee of sending "top tier" plants has not been honored. I ended up with less than 2 inch viable canes even with the most conservative pruning off of the recurring black tips. I'm trying to save them. I don't know yet if they will leaf out. Buyer beware. I did not search out reviews before I paid for dying rose plants and non refundable shipping.
Roses were shipped late. I received hostile responses via email about them being very busy in the spring (NOTE: staff up in the spring, Edmund's!!). When I did get them, they were SMALL. I spent $109 on 3 small roses, but one was tiny - like small and pruned back so it fit in the palm of my hand tiny - and I felt ripped off. I emailed and was told I could return it. I said that if I had to pay the shipping, I would return them all. They responded and said that if they weren't in perfect condition, I wouldn't get any refund. A threat! I called several times and got some nice people and some angry people. But Rachel! OMG. Snapped at me that they couldn't do anything without a picture. While I explained that I HAD sent in a picture, she interrupted me with the most condescending remarks and didn't even hear me say that I had already sent a pic via email. She then hung up on me. I can't believe Edmund's is in business. I live near great nurseries. I didn't need to support them at those inflated prices. I thought I would be getting bigger, better roses, but I really didn't. They are a joke. AVOID! And if Edmund's has any sense, they will fire the hostile support people like Rachel. It only adds up to more negative reviews and and a loss of business.
I ordered a rose and it died early in the season. I emailed the company and asked for a refund (as in a previous order I asked for a replacement and that rose, too, died early. Edmunds asked for my order number, which I didn’t have. They had my name, address and email so with any effort, they could have found my order. They have not and the issue remains unresolved.
After reading many horrible reviews, I was very skeptical. My experience, however, has been positive. The barefoot roses were received in good health. They responded quickly after planting and are growing nicely. One star taken away due to improvements needed to customer service and shipping practices.
