I ordered two items that looked nothing like the pictures on their website. The quality is very cheap looking and the sizing is very off!! The small fits like medium, almost large!! The shipping took forever, too!
Now the return process is a headache of its own!! Feels more like a scam than a real boutique business!! I will never order from them again and would suggest look elsewhere, unless you want to deal with disappointment and frustration…

I was a little nervous the dress wouldn't look as pretty in person as it did in the pictures but I'm so happy with it! Such a lovely dress. Glad I went ahead and ordered from ellis and rose 😊

The dress I ordered arrived a full 6 inches smaller in all areas than what was listed in the size chart (3 full sizes smaller, not just "runs small"). When I told the company they sent the wrong size they said they sent the biggest size available. Did not say anything about the dress being 6 inches smaller than advertised. When I asked to return I was told that I could return it for a full refund but that all international shipping charges to send it back to China would be my responsibility including duties and fees and that there was a chance it wouldn't clear customs at all. I would only receive my refund after paying all of that and only if it actually arrived and in the same condition it was shipped. If I didn't want to go through that, I could accept 50% in store credit or a 15% refund and keep the dress. I decided to cut my losses and take the 15%. If they aren't trying to scam people into buying things they can't use, then they should update their size charts to accurately represent the clothes.

This company holds itself out as being in New York, but I believe it's based in China. I ordered 3 dresses. One of them was too big. When I tried to return it, I learned that I had to ship it back to China and pay international shipping and duty charges. The dresses are cheap - not worth the money even that the purported sale price. BEWARE OF THIS COMPANY - I DO NOT RECOMMEND BUYING ANYTHING FROM THEM.
