FRAUDSTERS!!!

Bought a BMW X1 YK68 TTR (which is currently up for sale that has over £3k worth of urgent work that needs doing so do not buy!!) we picked this car up 13.2.26 on the way home the engine level too high warning message came up and said to take it to your nearest dealership which we did the next day and BMW were amazing!! We had to pay out £254 to get diagnostic tests done and they found that the car had a faulty DDE unit which would cost £2125.46 to replace and there were also 3 other urgent items that needed repairing which was the front engine shield was missing and front and rear side shock absorber dust covers were split this all totalling another £1000 to sort. We were at this point advised not to drive it by BMW we then decided to reject the vehicle. After waiting nearly 3 weeks for the car to be collected which in the meantime we had no vehicle to get to work etc… luckily BMW were brilliant they kept the car their and Empressive picked it up last Saturday and it was straight back up for sale on the Monday which is shouldn’t have been under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 as they hadn’t refunded us and took until today to send the £16999 that we paid for car but as the car was marked up at £17999 they took £1000 off for our part exchange vehicle which they haven’t refunded us for - they tried unravelling the deal saying that they would only give us £200 back which we have never received and is an insult when they advertise everywhere that they give a minimum £1000 part exchange it’s all false!! As all their cars are marked up dearer when you go and view them!! And to add insult to injury we found that our part exchange car had been sold via Facebook for £1495. So all in all this garage have cost us around £1500 for a car we haven’t got!! WARNING DO NOT BUY THIS CAR!! There is no way they have had it fixed as BMW said they can only get the DDE part from Germany!! I REALLY DO NOT WANT ANYONE TO GO THROUGH WHAT WE HAVE!! I am now going to the small claims courts after seeking legal advice! After e mailing Empressive this morning requesting the £1000 part exchange money there have been a couple attempted logins on my social media accounts so I am guessing that is them!! A AWFUL GARAGE please do not buy from them!!

After sales poor

My sales experience with this dealer was ok but after sales was extremely disappointing and serves as a cautionary tale for distance buyers.

The vehicle I purchased had undisclosed accident damage with substandard repairs and evidence suggesting concealment of prior advisories on the MOT.

After documented faults were confirmed by independent specialists, the dealer refused to repair all issues and rejected my proposed amicable solutions.

When I exercised my right to reject under the Consumer Rights Act, they did not comply fully, instead attempting to unwind the deal with conditions that were not consistent with consumer law for a distance sale. This left me in a significantly worse financial position.

Potential buyers should be extremely vigilant:
Document everything during the buying process.
Inspect invoices carefully—pricing adjustments may be made to remain under certain tax thresholds, which can complicate matters if the deal is unwound.
Based on my experience, I strongly advise caution when considering distance sales at attractive price points.
Ensure you check the vehicle thoroughly and understand your rights before committing. Still unresolved.

The worst place I’ve ever bought a car from

This is the worst place I’ve ever bought a car from. They might be cheap, but the service I got from this company was disgusting. When I first went there, the salesman was really helpful. When I wanted to look at the car, he couldn’t do enough for me. But when I drove my car away I had to find a petrol station straight away because there was so little petrol, I wasn’t sure I was going to make it to the motorway.
Then about 2 months after picking up the car, it started to play up. The car was having problems starting among other things. I tried to contact them, but when I rang them I was told the person I needed to speak to wasn’t available. I contacted them several times, but they just kept fobbing me off. The 3 month warranty has run out, so I’ve had to pay to get it fixed.
I took my car to a garage I’d used before that I know I can trust. They sorted out my car and told me that it didn’t look like it had been serviced lately. That was strange because I remember the salesman at Empressive saying that he would service it before I picked it up. This is the problem. I don’t think they check the cars over properly. And when there’s a problem, it’s like they try to get out of spending any money.
Yes I bought the car cheaper than it would of cost at a main dealer, but because of the bad customer service, I ended up spending more money than if I’d bought it from somewhere else at a higher price. Don’t be fooled by their glossy website or any connections they might have. Buy from a car dealer you can trust. I will never have anything to do with this company ever again. I’ve put it down to experience and I’ll be more careful next time.
I hope you can learn from my mistake and don’t give Empressive Motor Company fifteen thousand pounds of your money.

Beware of this company!!!

Beware of this company!!!

Were happy to sell me an unroadworthy and dangerous vehicle knowing I got 2 young children in the car.

Nothing but problems from the day I bought, was taken back multiple times, tried to reject before 30 days but was fobbed off by Empressive and Family Finance. Was promised the car would be repaired but it didn’t, they held the car for several weeks just so it would go past the 30 days. Promised me courtesy car as I had no way to take my kids to school, came to collect my car from my work place and lied about the courtesy car and had to make my own way home. Luckily the delivery driver was nice and gave me a lift home. Got the car back after several weeks with the same issues on the car.

Went back again after the whole suspension snapped and the car dropped on a certain mountain road with the kids in the car. Took them a week to arrange to look at my vehicle. Wanted me to drive it up there and it was my responsibility. So in the end they wouldn’t collect and I had to pay for a recovery truck to deliver car to them. Once again had a few weeks, they did repair the suspension and discs but I mentioned the smoking, clutch and the paint work which was promised from day one. I collected the car, when I checked my tracker it had been driven to and from an address in Tredegar without my knowledge. They need my permission to do this and when I confronted them about this he just made loads of excuses and lies.

Took the car back and yet again smoking bad, clutch burning, and the steering/suspension bad. Took the car again to get repaired but fobbed me off once again saying it was condensation, they wouldn’t replace a 67 plate car with that many miles with a new engine as they didn’t want to spend thousands. Garage manager told me he’d plug vehicle in, check smoke, suspension and clutch. Spoke to me like rubbish and gave me stupid examples why they wouldn’t repair my vehicle being very condescending. Took car back with same issues again.

Went to Family Finance who instructed Empressive to do an engineer report. Came back, the report was very biased with the garage, siding with them, with loads of mistakes, a fake address and no sign of the engineer being accredited. Family Finance agreed with this report and wanted me to carry on paying my payments as normal.

I arranged for a professional engineer who is highly accredited and I got his number through the correct means and through the accredited websites itself.
I had to pay for this myself, when the engineer checked my car he refused to test drive it and said it’s unroadworthy and unsafe. Empressive wouldn’t accept this and not would family finance.

In the end family finance agreed to do a third and final report. They got Dekra to do this. Once again the engineer would not test drive the vehicle as he deemed it unroadworthy and unsafe. Oil leaking everywhere which Empressive said that was when they topped it up (this is seen in previous reviews) loads of codes pulled up which they tried to hide. I’ve attached reports to see how bad the vehicle actually is. What they were doing was everytime I was taking the vehicle back they were topping up the engine with fresh oil as the vehicle was drinking and wiping out the oil warning light from the ecu.

In the end family finance pushed for rejection, which I eventually got after months of stress! Empressive was not happy with this and accused me over the phone of tampering with the vehicle which I got a recording of. They wanted money back for mileage until I said the garage has had the car more than me and done more miles in it. I haven’t driven it in months and had to pay a fortune in taxis and lifts etc with no help from them.

After basically arguing back and forth with Family Finance, they refunded me my finance payments and got my Car collected this Monday. Funnily enough Empressive got the car up for sale 2 days later on the Wednesday. They definitely wouldn’t have fixed the issues seeing as it’s up cheaper than what I paid for it.

Empressive are currently withholding my deposit!!!
Tread cautiously!!!

Please take an engineer with you to inspect the vehicles, don’t pay deposit, if you do use a credit card!

The Car is currently up for sale 2 days after handing it back.

You’ll always see the same name “Paul” who people recommend; this is because he’s asking people to scan a QR code when you’re waiting for keys.

I bought a car from this dealership in March 2025. From start to finish they’ve been an absolute nightmare to say the least. I’ve had several issues with the car. The car was sold to me with no front break pads of discs, auxiliary belt was too big so had to be replaced, there is no after sales team; the lady who was doing that role went on the sick and later left the company so the manager Matthew and the arrogant mechanic Gareth work 9am-11am Monday-Friday contacting people to bring cars in etc. Gareth is the most narcissistic, rude, unpleasant “man” I’ve ever met. He reckons parts have to “fail under sub-mechanical failure” for him to do anything about it. He won’t even put the car up on a ramp to inspect without being nagged.
This dealership has their own mechanic garage where they forge MOT’s as pass without any advisories. They were supposed to MOT AND service my car but they never did. They just re-set the service light even though the car hadn’t been serviced for 2-3 years at all. I was given a new service book so had to start service history all over again.
The car has caused me nothing but issues. I now had a complaint in with Trading Standards and I’ve cleared the finance and sold the car on.
I WILL NEVER EVER refer friends or family to this dealership. They saw me coming a mile of being a young woman. Tried to rip me off moments after arriving saying I had to pay more for a part X than originally agreed. The “owner” is an absolute idiot!

Bought a Ford Kuga from this dealership…

Bought a Ford Kuga from this dealership last month and have been extremely impressed with everything!! Not at all pushy when looking around, just leaves you to explore the wide variety of vehicles, very fair pricing of my old car to part exchange and very reasonable pricing of my new vehicle. The buying process was extremely easy and a new MOT done and car ready to pick up within 24 hours. There was a problem with the car a couple of weeks later where the starting motor stopped working, however this was booked n the next working day and replaced within 3 hours of dropping it off!!
Overall very impressed with my experience and would wholeheartedly recommend this company for your next motor. Thank you

Had a few cars from here and was fantastic but my last one was a nightmare really can’t say I’d buy again as the one sales person was arrogant and pushy and the car was really on empty left there with 3 miles left in tank

Absolutely fabulous service from Paul…

Absolutely fabulous service from Paul and the team. Travelled from Scotland to pick up a Volvo and drive it back. Paul was very thorough with his description of the vehicle allowing me to travel without any worries or surprises on seeing the car. He arranged for me to be collected from the town centre and brought to the car which was excellent and needed after the 13hr journey. Car was exactly as described and proved a pleasure to drive home. Definitely recommend them to anyone in the market for a car.

Professional and helpful

Looking for a car for my wife. Didn't end up buying the car as she did not like how it drove, that is not any fault of this company though. However, the team were very helpful, non pushy and allowed us to test drive on our own, so no added pressure. Would I consider this company again? Yes, as I feel they dealt with us as people and not cash machines.

Highly Recommend

After being massively let down at the last minute by another garage we called to Empressive as a friend had previously bought a car from them. Paul was extremely helpful, honest and not pushy at all. Gave us good advice and a good deal on our part ex. As we was so let down by the previous garage even arranged for us to pick our new car up the next day.
Paul and Kian got all paperwork sorted promptly and we collected our new car first thing the following morning. Would highly recommend. Great Service!

Bought the Audi A5 in white

Bought the Audi A5 in white, love the car Paul as been very helpful and the valeter was really helpful with putting my plates on the vehicle as well but the whole team are amazing they refurbished the alloys wheels in black and even done the diamond cut on them as well looks amazing and done the holes in the back for the number plate for my private short plates and completely filled and resprayed the boot lid for me!
