I've been with EPIK for many years now, and have never had a bad experience.
My IP address is blocked after 10 years…
My IP address is blocked after 10 years with the company, credit card payment links hijacked from the Philippines where the telephone "technical support" is located. Dismal performance - will be moving on soon. Don't bother with Epik LLC unless you like headaches - you could just hit yourself in the head with a hammer and get the same results.

Jonathan’s proactive communication, laser focus uncovering details, and determination to address questions complicating a domain transfer translated into intelligent customized care that went well above and beyond standard expectations.
Jonathan, thank you for delivering the highest level of customer care anyone could hope for. Your resourcefulness, curiosity, and commitment created a legendary customer experience that I’ll always remember!

Once again they changed custom name…
Once again they changed custom name servers on one of my domains without any reason. This keeps happening.
I am in the process of transferring all domains to another registrar but in the mean time, they continue to change settings in my account without my permission.
This is a big deal because when they do this, my client's website(s) go offline.
As I said before, and I will continue to say, DO NOT BUY OR USE EPIK DOMAINS!!! They are the worst domain registrar in my 20+ years of being in business.
RIP Epic
Epik was sold to someone who has driven it to the ground. Records don't get updated. Errors all over the place. Basically for every change you have to call them and even then you can't be sure if the job will get done. I talked to someone who gave me bunch of excuses after wasting who knows how much time trying to add some records. Been using them for many years, lots of domains hosted, now moving away. RIP Epic!
Outstanding, US based support by actual Americans
I have been a customer for many years with Epik being the registrar of my websites. Recently moved my webhosting to them and the service has been absolutely OUTSTANDING! Fast and extremely friendly. Best service I have ever had and... AND this is all US based support by actual Americans. We all must come together to support the companies that still hire Americans. Thank you to the Epik team for the excellent service and am so glad I decided to move over, should have done this a long time ago.

Abused the Law, No Warning, Unjust Suspension
Epik permanently suspended my domain without any warning or chance to transfer it, solely over fictional artwork. They cited Code § 1466A, a law the Supreme Court (Ashcroft v. Free Speech Coalition) has ruled cannot be used to ban protected speech like drawings that don't depict real people. Applying it here is a clear First Amendment violation. I received no prior warning, no chance to remove, no chance to transfer it out. They misapplied the law and denied basic due process.
Note: Epik formally changed ownership in February 2024. The previous owners at Epik Inc valued free speech, but that clearly ended with the new regime of Epik LLC. Don't be misled by older positive reviews - they no longer reflect the company's actions or values. Avoid at all costs.
Edit: Upon exchanging some mails about this issue, they at least gave a chance to transfer out, thus giving 2 stars.

I had about a day and a half to get a…
I had about a day and a half to get a WordPress site moved to another domain to be in time for an essential conference message. Epik support team jumped on it, worked through complications, and got me online in time for the presentations.

Wonderful customer service!
The customer service was knowledgeable and immediately solved the problem by providing the information I was missing.
I needed to set up an authoritative name server for another domain and had created the A records but didn't know I also needed to set the hosts as custom name servers. That was not obvious to me.
I had been trying to solve this same problem at Dreamscape and it was unresolved for 4 weeks!
Rick answered the question within an hour, provided the answer, even thought about the question from different angles just in case, and gave me screenshots to illustrate the instructions.
Now I can move forward with my business.

Website had major issues but my problem was solved!
One of the website that I manage kept going offline or certain elements on the site were not appearing. Rick is awesome! He went above and beyond to help me with this reoccurring issue. Thank you, Rick! My issue was resolved within a few days since it was so complex but Rick was calm and always helpful. Much appreciated!

Epik has the best support
Epik has the best support. Real live people who want to help you, not offshored chat people that you have to jump through hurdles to get to. Emily Remington and Jonathan helped me solve some issues that I could not get my head around, so I can get back to business. I love Epik. Should have found them years ago. Like we say when we're new to Texas "Sorry I'm late: got here as soon as I could!"

Epik Has The Best Customer Service Staff (Which Is All That Matters With A Domain Company)
I've switched my domains from GoDaddy to Epik many years ago. The main thing about Epik is their great customer service. Whenever I call or email with questions they always answer quickly (even on weekends). It kinda feels like my own IT dept. And, the user interface is easy to use. Some of these domain companies can be a little shady. Definitely use Epik.
