Another bad experience
I’d see these epoxy workshop ads, a travelling type company that when and held various levels of workshops in towns all over Ontario. I decided to sign up for a level one workshop to take place in Mattawa last June. My thoughts were that I could try it.
Sure enough she was ‘sick’ and that she was trying to reschedule. Then I didn’t hear anything, and then she tried selling some candle holder workshop. Finally I emailed and was like ‘when’s this being rescheduled, lady?’ And she made like that the candle holder workshop was the offer (?) but I could attend her Level 1 (of the actual workshop I had signed up for) in north bay in November (2025). I was busy with personal matters so I didn’t really pursue anything too hard until about a week before the November event when I thought it funny there was no communication, then I noticed that even though she had commented the location on one of her posts on social media and confirmed this when I asked if it was there in email, there was no location references on her website, or officially announced.
She played along how the event was still on when I called the venue and they basically had never heard of them. Just goes to show due diligence matters.
So I emailed that I was fed up. It took a few emails but she did return my money. Needed a couple reminders. She’s now rebranded to the creative cabin.
