As a professional dealing with a sensitive online reputation matter, I explored working with this company but ultimately decided not to proceed after reviewing the agreement and receiving almost zero useful follow-up. Please see details below.

The contract required granting exclusive control over the process while restricting my ability to address the issue independently. At the same time, there was limited transparency regarding what actions would be taken.

Every two weeks, I received an email stating, "We tried to contact Party X, and they have not responded."

When I asked for more details, they refused to provide them. They were only willing to disclose one set of facts: The dates they sent emails on my behalf. They claimed that anything other than this information was "proprietary company information".

The definition of “successful outcome” appeared broad, and the agreement placed significant limitations on accountability while allocating most of the risk to the client.

To their credit, they were willing to release me from the agreement when I expressed these concerns.

I would encourage others in similar situations to carefully review the terms and ensure they are fully comfortable with the structure before engaging.
