The bag policy is very restrictive, applied at the whim of the security staff who were very rude to some people in front of me. No arrangement to store bag/cloak troom but referral to an external agency with a QR code scan and no further responsibility like guidance.
The acoustics and seating hardly justifies the price of tickets.
Overall a third rate location for a first rate show for an internationally acclaimed city for performances.
I would avoid it like a plague.

Absolutely rubbish venue. Unfriendly and argumentative staff. Created such an issue even for small hand bags ( bigger than A4 size and asked to drop these in unfamiliar places to be booked through the strange app. I had to walk nearly a mile to drop the small ( more than A4 size ha! ) to a hotel and pay 13 ponds for that. That too just before the show and I missed the show.

Seats were badly aligned that thou can not watch the show properly and temperature control was felt.

Toilets were filthy. Venue was substandard level for the level of show and actors.

Never going to go again.

The staff at Eventim were super helpful especially James the supervisor. He listened to us patiently and resolved our queries in a timely fashion.

Its the staff like this that make the experience memorable

The worst security staff, they hassle you, push you and are racist! Likely outsourced to some incompetent company and people.

No communication of baggage policy and harrassment

When a concert is seated and have a rear standing area. WHY did you allow people from the rear standing to hover down the side of stalls and allow people to stand in front of the first row of seats ROW D seats 1 & 2 in the empty space where the steps are. People paid a lot of money for their seats to not be blocked by people who bought the cheapest tickets. No sense of security fixing the problem, in fact there was no security around at all expect for a man standing at the front who at one point allowed some of the rear standing people to STAND ON THE STAIRS TO THE STAGE.

The band I was seeing were incredible, but the fact my view constantly was getting block by people who shouldn't have even be standing there really took away from the experience.

Worst venue, HORRENDOUS customer service, literally going to prison might be more enjoyable than going to this venue…
The ridiculous no bag policy, what if someone travels from far, WHERE are they supposed to keep their stuff?

Their ridiculous no refund policy under any circumstances is disgusting as it is, stealing your money and providing AWFUL service in return!

Never again booking anything with this venue, give it a miss!

Another negative for the absurd bag policy and the need for people to wander around Hammersmith looking for a bag drop point. The first one we went to following one of the two apps recommended by the venue turned out to be a permanently closed hotel that we reached with a 10 minutes walk. At that point 10 more minutes to find the following one, and we ended up missing the first 20 minutes of our concert. Extremely annoying, all because the venue is incapable of adopting a bag checking policy or better bag drop practices.

Instigated a bag policy at the door without prior communication, although my bag was exactly A4 would not let me enter. Directed me to a paid for service to leave my bag with random off licence which was closing before the event ended. Organisers won’t refund ticket because the venue ‘didn’t make them aware’ of the bag policy and they therefore couldn’t include it in the ticket t&c’s to inform people. Still let others with larger bags through. Absolute farce.

Went to see Nikki Glaser but nearly missed it. They have a very strict bag policy which isn't well communicated during the purchase process.

The venue would be more customer friendly if they had a sufficiently sized on-site cloak room that most large venues have, if they are to continue with such a bag policy.

Many people including myself were turned away at the door after queuing for having a backpack. They don't allow any bags larger than a standard sheet of paper which meant we had to walk 40mins out of the way to find a last minute bag storage site in Hammersmith.

This is for a Friday evening show with start time at 6pm, and doors opening at 5pm. Many people were arriving after work and were turned away. The staff were also inconsistent with enforcement and sometimes rude about they way they spoke to people.

The policy needs a rethink as this also happened the next day for another event based on Google reviews that have since been scrubbed from their page.

So be forewarned if attending an event here and you have a bag larger than a sheet of paper.

What made the situation worse was the complete lack of any on-site cloakroom or storage facility. Instead, staff directed us to external businesses where we had to pay to leave our belongings before returning to the venue, causing unnecessary stress, expense, and delays.

The policy itself is one thing, but the lack of clear communication and absence of practical customer support created a frustrating and chaotic experience for many people attending the show.

I would appreciate a response explaining why this policy was not communicated more clearly in advance and why no on-site storage option is available.

The security staff were unhelpful, and made the entire experience frustrating and chaotic with many people standing outside arguing with them about the clear lack of communication. We were told this policy is new and clearly marked on the website. At what point does a customer go onto a venue website AFTER booking tickets to read a bag policy? Said policy was NOT mentioned on the email confirmations or digital tickets.

It’s astonishing that a major London venue hosting thousands of guests has a strict bag policy but provides no on-site storage solution whatsoever. The policy itself is one thing; the complete absence of customer care, clear communication, and practical alternatives is another.

The evening was overshadowed by poor organisation and dismissive treatment from staff. The artist deserved better, and so did the audience.

Customer service via email are very rude and not helpful. Shame as it put me off the venue entirely and I went elsewhere

Purchased 2 VIP tickets to the "batman 1989 in concert" in February this year. When we arrived on the night we were told that the exclusive merchandise bags were had paid for as part of the VIP tickets were unavailable and would be sent out later.

Nearly May 2026 and still have not received the merchandise bags. Have emailed customer services 3 times all without reply and no one in the box office ever answers the phone or responds to call backs.

Appalling customer service and still no resolution to tickets we have paid almost 100 pounds each for!!

kenny thomas - the sound was so bad at the front that it was just a din, so we left early. You could tell no-one was enjoying it. i went and stood by the sound deck towards the back and it was much better but still poor. dont go there

The musical entertainment was excellent however some of the staff are out of control and power crazy with little Supervision. Beware, try not to enjoy yourself otherwise you will find your arms forced up your back and thrown out into the street. Dancing is clearly not allowed. Don't try and complain about it either, same attitude. Awful experience, never again. Avoid at all costs.

This place should be shut down, it is an accident waiting to happen with overcrowding, terrible venue

Should be 0 rating but have to add something. Everyone should boycott this place until the current security is removed. During the performance of Moonlight someone was dragged out by 3 security for daring to stand in the aisle. When questioned they said he was trying to beat everybody up. I was only 3 rows away and didn't see any if that.
My wife was ejected fir standing in the aisle twice. The reasoning was because she was abusive. This is rubbish and when questioning security they've said it's all recorded and to ask the venue. I have, and nothing.

I understand at seated venues you can't stand in the aisle. But this is a thin lizzy story and had some thin lizzy originals. Of course people will dance. But security should have dealt with this better. Its clear tge security used have no training.
This isn't isolated to this event. Check other reviews that claim the same heavy handed experience.
If no reply I will next be contacting the council to investigate

The following is from the 1st paragraph of a critics review

"You don’t expect to see audience members dragged out of the theatre and security get booed for doing so. You don’t expect the audience to stand up and dance in protest"

This place should be shut down. Paid £140 to see David Byrne. Worst experience EVER. This was a SEATED gig. They announced before the show started "FEEL FREE TO GET UP AND DANCE" I booked a seat specifically as I NEED a seat, so I was unable to see the performance due to everybody standing up in front of me. SEATED SHOULD MEAN SEATED. If they wanted people to stand up and dance they should've made this a STANDING gig. Also announced "KEEP PHOTOS AND VIDEOS TO A MINIMUM" which to my mind means you ARE allowed to video. However every time I tried to take photos the security were on me like vultures, being RUDE and AGGRESSIVE and TRYING TO GRAB MY PHONE OUT OF MY HAND!! I have NEVER had such treatment from security before. Needless to say my entire evening was ruined and I definitely will NEVER go to that horrendous venue again.

Be very careful when booking tickets here,we accidentally brought standing tickets,which means standing up against the wall,very close to other people in the line up,basically in the walk ways,not allowed to move,sitted customers not realising and lining up behind us thinking we are waiting for the toilet, my partner left, we will not return to this venue,very unsafe ,staff inside venue very rude.
