I had been looking for a trekking company to hike to Everest Base Camp. It was difficult to decide on which company, because there are so many. One company stood out for me because they had a phone number that was based in N. America. That company was EVEREST BASE CAMP TRAVEL. Since I am based in the US, I called that number. Daniel answered and I explained to him my specifications. I needed to start trekking EBC at a certain time, and I needed to complete another trek that I could not finish 6 months back. He connected me to Binod Sapkota, his partner in Nepal and from then on it was a breeze. I felt comfortable working with someone who had an affiliate in N. America. I had bad experience with a trekking company before while trekking the Annapurna Circuit. The team at Everest Base Camp Travel went out of their way to ensure that we had a great experience. My daughter joined me on the trek, and we had a great time together. The team gave us first class service, from the time they picked us up at the airport, till they dropped us off. They were very sincere and their goal was our goal, which was to complete the trek and have a great time doing it, which we did. They also tailored the Annapurna Circuit which I had started 6 months back but didn’t complete. So, after EBC trek, we took rest for a couple of days and then started the Annapurna Circuit where I had left off and completed it. They really made every effort to make sure that my desire to complete both treks were met in one trip to Nepal. Our guide TB (Tribhuvan) was very knowledgeable about the mountains, weather, the vegetation and kept us informed along the trail. He was also very encouraging and made me feel confident in my abilities to complete the trek - I am a 62 year old woman. Binod was in constant touch with TB while we were trekking and making sure that we were at a comfortable pace and doing well. The sherpas too were very courteous and helpful. In short, the team at Everest Base Camp Travel is organized, dedicated to helping you meet your goals and very sincere and trustworthy. My experience with them was very satisfactory. I would very highly recommend this company if you are planning to trek to Everest Base Camp.
