First of all I have always been on top of paying my bill therefore I have missed ONE payment back in November due to some health reasons and I’ve made calls to resolve the issue but customer service was very much rude with me and was in such a hurry to get rid of me before I could get finished with my call, this company has become a HUGE DISAPPOINTMENT and I wouldn’t recommend them for anyone in my family or close friends I’m no longer satisfied with them and as of today I’m done! I’m Canceling my policy and moving on I suggest anyone who uses this company do the same as me! I’ve learned the real reason for not trusting anyone with very poor customer service. This company has lost a customer as of today!

Do not use this insurance company. My mother submitted a letter in Mid November 2025 requesting to surrender the policy. She also requested to have her address changed to her new address. They changed the address but did not comply with the requested surrender of life insurance policy. Called them back in Mid December. She finally received another letter in January 2026. The letter said she needed to submit a form they sent to be signed and notarized and returned to them. She signed the form and had it notarized at a cost of $55. And sent it back. They were also requesting for her to continue to pay premiums for December and January of $53.78. And threatening her that they will not pay the claim if she didn't continue to pay the premiums. Mid February she still did not receive the cash value of her policy. We called Mid February. The person we spoke to said she failed to put a date on one line. Note the form had 3 places to write in the same date which were filled in. We filled in the date and sent the forms back again via email as directed to customer service. Then called back to make sure they received it. They apparently have a review group process that it has to go through. It is now April 6, 2026. She has still never received the money. She received 3 letters from them. Now requesting payment for January, February, and now March payment of premiums. And one letter dated 3/25/26 stating the face value of her policy is now reduced to $1,430.77.
It has been converted to its non-forfeiture option.
This company preys on elderly people and will do everything to delay payment so they don't have to pay out!
I have contacted the California insurance commissioner to complain about this company.

Less than half a star just awful quality products and when wrong item sent they would not even acknowledge my email. Please do not waste your money on this scamming website.

Where to begin...a $5k policy was sold to my father at age 65 for $40 a month which he paid on for 12 years! He is going through a divorce, very ill and in a nursing home and trying to cash the policy out...he has paid over $5200 for a policy that is only worth $5000 and the cash value is $1680. Such a scam and impossible to get anyone on the phone who will work with you let alone speak ENGLISH! They do not make it simple for you to cash in the policy OR speak with ANYONE who can assist you. SCAM SCAM SCAM! DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY!
Missing Funds
I had a balance on my policy which I paid in full two months ago. Once I received my policy information in the mail, Everly stated I still had an outstanding balance against my policy. I submitted proof, the amount was withdrawn from my account and each time I call to get the issue corrected, I get the response of "they are working on it" and someone will return my call in 24-48 hours. It has been a week with no response as to what happened to the funds withdrawn from my account. The company rep stated they have reached out to their processing team. I can't understand why the payment has yet to processed two months later but was withdrawn from my banking account. I was even told to check with my bank to see if the funds were taken from my account. I also submitted proof of payment and received an email stating I will hear from the company in 24-48 hours. At the time of posting this review, I have not heard from someone other than stating I will receive a response with 24-48 hours which we are now pass that timeframe.
****Update to Everly's response***
I contacted your company to receive an update to my missing funds, only to be told there is a balance due to the interest added to the account. The payment was made prior to the annual renewal date, so there should not be any interest added to the account. I should not be penalized due to the fact your company did not note the account until a month later. The issue has not been resolved.
**Second Update***
Although this was not in a timely matter, the issue has been resolved. Everly has just contacted me and let me know there is no balance.

They refuse to pay for valid policies

Made the process easy my only issue was when applying I marked the answer incorrectly moving to fast I assume and was dinged for it, other than that hiccup is a very smooth process, and highly recommended, it is unlike any coverage I've seen.
