Unsurprisingly, being called ‘Fair for You’, we really care about fairness. We believe that people who are less well-off or whose financial circumstances are more difficult than most should not have to pay more for credit.
Fair for You helps you buy essential household products directly from our trusted retailers by providing you with fair, affordable finance. You apply for a loan from us, which we pay directly to the retailer of your chosen product when you complete your purchase.
Your product will come to you straight from the retailer, ensuring you get top quality products from well-known retailers like Whirlpool, along with all the delivery, installation, and aftercare support you’d expect.
With a Fair for You loan, you can choose how long you’d like to borrow for and how frequently you’d like to pay. You can pay weekly, fortnightly, four-weekly or monthly and borrow for as long or short a period as you like. You can even change your repayments if your circumstances change.
The shorter the loan period you choose the less interest you pay overall. We’re a bit different from other lenders, which means there are no charges or fees if you’d like to pay a bit extra towards your loan. The faster you pay, the less you pay.

Please be advised that all applications are assessed individually and fairly using the same process for every customer. While previous payment history and length of membership are taken into consideration, all applications are also subject to credit and affordability checks, alongside our current lending criteria at the time of application.
Circumstances can change over time, and this may affect the outcome of an application, even where previous applications may have been approved. Factors such as income, expenditure, existing commitments, and information received from credit reference agencies can all impact a lending decision.
As a charity-based organisation regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority, we have a responsibility to ensure that we are lending responsibly and that any borrowing remains affordable for our customers. For this reason, applications may occasionally be declined despite a good payment history.
Unfortunately, approval for previous applications does not automatically guarantee approval for future applications.

We’re really sorry to hear about your experience and understand how frustrating this situation must be, especially when you were expecting your cooker to be installed.
Fair for You is the finance provider for the purchase, which means we provide the credit agreement and pay the supplier directly for the appliance and any additional services, such as installation. The installation itself is carried out by the supplier’s engineer, so any issues relating to fitting, delivery, product, or installation would need to be raised directly with Whirlpool, as the supplier is responsible for product-related issues.
Please contact Whirlpool on 03448111211, and they will be able to review the engineer visit and work towards resolving the issue for you. If you are unable to get the matter resolved with them, please contact us at 03334330739, and we will do our best to support you further and help reach a resolution.
