Total scam! They sell you standby tickets without really telling you that. Then they call you several times to tell you your spouse is on standby and you can't cancel but you can pay $400 more to get a real ticket. What?????

Don't get fooled by their lower price offerings. They will sell you plane tickets that are actually on stand by and not the actual seats on the plane. Only to get you to call them and charge you some ridiculous amount so that they book normal ticket (which you can buy directly from the airline and cheaper). Stay away!

100% Scam. Same as many others - my son booked as they were 100 cheaper vs AA for same flight. Got a call from India or Pakistan saying that fare isn’t available and he would be on standbys and is #9 in line. To get it confirmed on same flight it would be double to cost. AA shows same one way flight for 40 bucks and agent says I am lying and it’s an out of date offer from AA. She puts me on hold and I immediately lock down card as no charges showing. I call credit card and they say it could still be pending but likely they are trying to charge while you are on hold! This company should be shut down!

Farebuddies is a total scam. Why are they not shut down is beyond me. If you know who I can write to to shut them down, please inform me to protect other consumer. They mislead and lied to me. These people are Indians that scam us Americans. I will contact consumer affair.

If I could, I would give them -5 stars. This is a scam operation. They sold me ‘confirmed’ flights then told me my husband’s ticket was not confirmed & he would fly standby. We would not know if he had a flight with me until 2 days before. They claimed the tickets were not cancelable but offered other tickets on other airlines at twice the price. I sent emails to the Customer Service support email and the booking email and both were returned undeliverable.
Update: I immediately had my CC company block this charge as fraudulent and close the card I used for this purchase. The following day there were no less than 11 fraudulent charges attempted against the old CC number - everything from GoDaddyIndia to Wayfair. I have no doubt they were made by this company or someone there.

You can't cancel this order because you already agreed to it."

Bait and switch. They don’t honor the contracted for price, then want to charge you more so you dont ”lose” the money they will not refund you. Fraudulent activity, no disclosure of the caveats they mention after they get your money.

First day bought ticket paid 4000usd , then call me in second day , same flight need to pay another 2000usd , 50% increase .for same tickets . Otherwise no found . I have to lock my credit card by now.

Bait and switch scammers. Show you a low price, get your payment info and then call and tell you that they can’t do it for that price. Then they want more money or switch your travel dates to a cheaper time. Very unprofessional, and try to bully you into paying more. Do yourself a favor and stay away from them.

WHEN THE DEAL IS TOO GOOD BEWARE ITS A SCAM. I LITERALLY DODGED A BULLET. SO I BOUGHT A FLIGHT TICKET 2 DAYS AGO. YESTERDAY FAIR SCAM BUDDIES CALLED ME AND ASKED ME TO PROVIDE MY LAST 4 NUMBERS OF MY CC AND PICTURE ID. THATS A RED FLAG FOR SCAMMERS. I QUICKY CHECKED MY CC AND FOUND IT WAS NOT CHARGED. I BLOCKED IT QUICK ENOUGH THEN EMAIL THIS SCAMMER CALLED SAMUEL GREEN. THIS FOOL TRIED SEVERAL TIMES TO CHARGE MY CC. SAMUEL SCAMMER GREEN. YOUR NOT GETTING MY HARD EARNED GREEN FOOL. DONT BUY DONT USE YOUR BANK CARD YOU WILL BE SCAMMED RUN. NEVER NEEN HAPPY LIKE TODAY. GOT THIS SCAMMER GOOD

Scammers! We booked tickets which were confirmed by an email and got a call the next day claiming we needed to upgrade the tickets. The fine print states you cannot cancel or get a refund and the tickets aren't confirmed until you get a phone call from them. They lure you into believing your only option is to upgrade but in reality there really aren't any tickets booked. Advice - hang up and call your credit card company to assure you haven't been charged and rebook with a reputable site.

Fare are too low to be true. This is the 2nd company that I came across to provide extremely low fairs and the next day or so flights are not available. Thetravelmakers.com or .ca is another SCAM SCAM SCAM company with Indians operating it from India and they are full of scam. Always buy tickets from a trusted website or directly from the airline!

I live on a very fixed income and found this wonderful round trip price on Fare Buddies so I booked it. Two days later I checked the airlines and there was no flight scheduled for me. I was unable to secure a refund from Fare Buddies and, to not lose the money I had already paid, had to rebook at an additional cost of $322.00. I could have gone directly to airline sites and gotten a cheaper fare. Never again!

I should've searched about them before dealing with them. They scammed me of $400. I bought a ticket through their website. They called me and told me the ticket I bought was "a standby ticket", NOT a confirmed ticket. From their on, they told me this ticket is non-voidable, non-refundable, etc. I was lured to pay more to secure a confirmed ticket.

I was charged $1480 by them. Then got a ticket from my credit card company, they paid the airline $1079 and banked $400.

I would NOT recommend period.

I am extremely disappointed and frustrated with the services provided by Fareobuddy. Not only did they fail to deliver on their promises, but they also scammed me out of $1000. I never booked a flight through their website I used another airline and how I got them on the phone I don't even know. According to them, we authorized them to take money on something that another airline said was not their policy and was not policy. They advised me to call my bank and change all my cards. I already paid for roundtrip tickets!!!!

When I reached out to their customer service for assistance, I was met with rude and dismissive responses. They refused to acknowledge their mistake or provide any compensation for the inconvenience caused. I would strongly advise against using Fareobuddy for any travel bookings, as their lack of transparency and unethical business practices make them extremely unreliable and untrustworthy.

They are awful I had to fraud flag them for trying to take more money. I had to get a new card and hopefully my bank give me the money back.

Total scam. Will have to pay hundreds more than the original price they quoted you. Will never use this website again!

This site is a scam, booked a flight and got a call from a Kyle Slater, saying that it was not confirmed and asking me for more money to get the flight confirmed, close to $300 extra, told him that would not work for me and asked for a refund, he said they would not give refunds, a total scam save yourself trouble and buy from a different company, January 31th
