Finchley College is a leading construction engineering and surveying further education college. We offer a beginner to an enhanced course in Engineering Surveying that is an alternative to a university degree as it would teach you all you need to know to work on the UK and overseas construction sites as an engineer or surveyor effectively, competently, and confidently. Training includes the use of a wide range of surveying equipment, including Total stations, robotic instruments, GNSS, Digital levels, laser, and automatic levels. We cover extensive hands-on practical training sessions for you to become fluent in using surveying instruments. The college has over 1000 students and hundreds of engineers and managers who have qualified from Finchley College and are working at high pay for major contractors. Learn to read construction drawings, create local control systems, and work at high-rise structures, RC frames, steel frames, timber frames, groundworks, external works, drainage as well as refurbishment projects. We offer long-term support to all our learners who have completed beginner to advanced and beginner to enhanced level courses. College also provides post-training support for up to one year or more if necessary.

Best College for set-out Engineers
I came across Finchley College on their YouTube channel, where they've put free lecture videos. I decided to join the college and was met with friendly and knowledgeable staff. The programme was flexible and adjusted for my learning needs. I was provided with online videos and ebooks, enough to cover all the aspects in order to become a set-out engineer. Arguably I was offered more study material than the UNI I paid for way more. Having a professor so passionate about their work gave me the confidence in asking even the most trivial of questions in order to become a better engineer. All the students are welcome to drop by any time after graduation to ask questions that they may face in the field over their career as engineers, I can't remember any other school I've attended that welcomes past students like that. To me this is a big plus and thumbs up to Finchley College.

Excellent place for construction career progress
I first attended Finchley college in 2019 and within this period I have been able to achieve 2 qualifications (NVQ Level 3 & 6) and numerous subsidised courses while working full time and being a new father thanks to flexible learning programs, affordable and feasible payment plans and excellent tutoring I received from Mr Reza.

Excellent course
Excellent course! I studied with many colleagues from different backgrounds who managed to learn and understand the job at a decent level in short time. I am more than happy that i picked this college for my education, i received recently my graduation diploma and applied straight away for my gold CSCS card. In 3 weeks after graduation I got employed as Site Engineer. Thank you Mr. Reza!!

There is a possibility that there is someone else who is in the position I was in, and has no other way to find out about this college
An extraordinary teacher (Mr. Reza), appropriate teaching material of the latest generation: (Robotic Total Station TS16, GPS, etc.), a multitude of manuals and online courses to help you in the preparation process, and what was the most important for me, the flexible time to take these courses.

Great College to Study from
I have been working in construction for 10 years and I decided to choose Finchley college to become a setting out engineer.
They have great teachers who will provided everything that you need to learn from books to surveying equipment and unlimited support and flexibility which allowed me to fit the course around my work which was very important
I was able to complete the course within 3month and have enjoyed the time doing the course.

ProQual Level 3 Diploma in Engineering Surveying
I was impressed with the quality of education and the expertise of the instructor Mr. Reza in the Diploma in Engineering Surveying. He is not only knowledgeable in their respective fields but also approachable and willing to help students succeed. The curriculum was well-structured and up-to-date, which made learning relevant and engaging.
Thank you for providing me with an excellent educational experience.
And this course will be very helpful to my carrier growth.

Highly recommend Finchley College…
Finchley College has been absolutely incredible. Reza is an impeccable tutor/teacher/instructor. He is concise, knowledgable, helpful, tailors to all needs and requirements and is so passionate about the engineering field. The course layouts are perfect for all learning styles and is happy to explain things in as many ways as possible for students to understand and learn.

Engineering surveying course
Fantastic engineering surveying training. Been working as assistant engineer before I joined finchley college. Reza and other staff members help me to gain knowledge and confidence to successfully finish exam and carry out working as setting out engineer on site. Highly recommended this college.

Best college for Engineering & Surveying
I m happy to choose Finchley College London for my ProQual level3 diploma in engineering, and surveying. I gained more knowledge of how to use the engineering equipment with full details and how to use them on the actual site. I m a postgraduate in construction project management. After completing my master I don’t know how to use engineering equipment that’s why I google and find out different colleges but when I read the course content provided by Finchley College most of the colleges no provided they cover all aspects of the study that why I choose this college and I m happy my decision to gain a lot of knowledge and good experience.

It's a really great college
It's a really great college. I'm doing there my ProQual NVQ Level 3 in Engineering Surveying.
The teachers are very professional and try their best to make you understand the subject. If student struggle in some areas teacher is always trying to put an extra effort to help him to learn or understand it better.
Apart from theory there are lots of practical exercises. You get full training and understanding of working with Leica Total station, dumpy, laser and digital levels, GNSS.
Also it is easy to get to - just a few minutes walk from Finchley Central Station.
