I am a qualified HCPC Registered Advanced Dietitian and have worked in clinical settings for over 12 years now. I have predominately worked in mental health settings working with a range of conditions including eating disorders (disordered eating, food phobias, anorexia nervosa, bulimia nervosa, binge eating disorder, ARFID, diabulimia), ASD related dietary needs, ADHD, weight management, malnutrition related conditions, digestive issues including irritable bowel syndrome, type 2 diabetes and menopause. My passion is to support clients in achieving a more peaceful, free relationship with food. My philosophy is to provide you with nutritional advice that is based on sound science, practical and realistic to help you reach your own health goals. I also offer services for businesses such as employee wellbeing talks, webinars and writing nutrition related articles. Appointments are offered either online, face to face (Gosforth, Newcastle Upon Tyne clinic) or occasional home visit. I've always struggled with trying to achieve the 'perfect diet' - Fiona has helped me to move away from this all or nothing approach, and I'm feeling so much better as a result.

Useful and Informative Session

I found the session very informative and very interesting. Fiona answered all of my questions and concerns. Her approach was professional yet warm and understanding.

Highly Recommend

I worked with Fiona when I was recovering from functional dyspepsia and struggling to manage my symptoms and regain weight. Working with Fiona not only helped me reach a healthy weight but also gave me tools to overcome unhelpful mindsets. With her compassionate support, my relationship with food has also dramatically improved. I would recommend her to anyone needed dietary support and evidence-backed advice.

Fiona is very knowledgable about modern nutrition and dietetic science, and is respectful and aware of the intersections between neurodiversity and diet.

She is also very kind and warm, and put me at ease in all of our sessions

I started sessions with Fiona when I was at my lowest in my habits with eating and exercise and she has truly transformed my life and helped me in being able to join in with family and friends again without overthinking food in a way I never thought I could.
She is extremely understanding and provides many helpful resources and coping mechanisms which I can take with me for the rest of my life!
I would highly recommend Fiona as a practitioner she is very professional , friendly and caring but also timely and efficient!

Highly Recommend

Fiona worked with our 16 year old daughter who had been battling an eating disorder for some time. Fiona was so flexible in her approach and really took time to understand the challenges our daughter faced not just with food, but communication. We feel, it was the sessions with Fiona that helped our daughter turn a corner and begin eating more freely. In addition to the direct work with our daughter, Fiona also communicated regularly with us as parents. This helped us all keep track of progress and work together to achieve the best outcomes. I honestly cannot recommend Fiona highly enough. It is in large part, I am sure, that we truly have our daughter back. Thank you so much Fiona 🌟

Fiona is great

Fiona is great, highly recommend. I am autistic and struggled with eating, when to eat and how much. She helped me figure out a meal plan that has changed my life. I now have far more energy to do things.

Helped fix diet of a picky eater, highly recommended

I was a picky eater with a very unbalanced diet (lots of carbs and no vegetables), and thanks to Fiona I've managed to finally eat in a balanced way, eating foods that before I would have never tried, with a lot more knowledge about food and nutrition. She was very understanding of my situation, and let me go at my own pace, allowing me to tackle the problem one small step at a time, which then became much bigger steps as I got more confident in the changes I was implementing with her guidance. She's knowledgeable and pragmatic, and I would highly recommend her especially if looking for someone that can help with a food issue that has some psychological component as well.

The best dietician for disordered eating

When I say that Fiona transformed my life I truly mean it. I had went through a period of extreme stress and that had significantly effected my eating. I was barely eating anything and was in a very dark place.

With the support of my mental health therapist and Fiona I am well on the road to recovery.

Fiona is kind, compassionate and hugely practical. She guided and supported me through different exposures to foods I had been avoiding.

I can’t thank Fiona enough. She incredibly professional and personable and just made me feel at ease from the outset.

I would recommend Fiona to anyone going through a hard time with eating disorders etc.

I couldn't recommend Fiona enough

I couldn't recommend Fiona enough. She is so experienced and knowledgeable and has a wealth of relevant resources and tools to share.

I worked with Fiona for a good few months and it was so helpful to get some practical support and education around nutrition.

She was compassionate and patient without being patronising and she has given me more confidence in being less restrictive and more spontaneous in what I can eat.

Fantastic Fiona

Helped me feel normal again

Fiona is super friendly and caring - always a joy to talk to. She's great at what she does and I'd absolutely recommend her. When I came to Fiona I had just been diagnosed with IBS after months of stomach issues and chest pain from trapped wind. I was on a self-imposed very restricted diet and my weight was plummeting with no signs of slowing down. Fiona helped me identify all of things I was doing which were actually making me worse and triggering my symptoms. Over three sessions we put a new plan in place to add more variety to my diet and stabilise my weight. Within weeks I was in much less pain, eating a much more varied diet (including many treats I had gone without for months) and I started putting weight on to bring me back to a healthy range. After a couple of months I'm in such a better place, have a much better quality of life and a lot more hope for living with / managing my IBS moving forward. I feel almost "back to normal" which I never thought I would. Massive thank you!

Great experience, Really helpful!

Saw Fiona for 2 appointments for advice and guidance around nutrition due to history of disordered eating.
Fiona was really friendly, welcoming and really helped put my mind at ease, and feel more comfortable and less anxious around cooking and my nutrition.
Would highly recommend Fiona for anyone looking for a dietitian.

The best help at a turbulent time in my life.

I found Fiona online after suffering with Anorexia for just under 2 years, its something I am still battling in my head but Fiona was amazing and I definitely wouldn't be where I am today without her. She really saved me in a way, if it wasn't for her recognising things that I thought were normal then I'm not even sure if I would still be here. She let my parents join in on sessions and gave out so much advice in everything. 6 months into my recovery now and I am in a great place with what I want from my life, and I have realised there is so much more to living than how I look and what food I eat. I built a great professional relationship with Fiona but almost a sort of friendship too, she helped me through highs and lows and we even had laughs too, I can't recommend her enough. Fiona, Thank you for everything and for helping me get my life back.

100% recommend

I was looking for a dietitian I could work with for a while when I was passed Fiona's details, and I've recommended her to many people since. Our sessions were always focussed, constructive and reassuring, and after a few months since our last session I'm still in a great place with my diet and relationship to food. One of my best experiences in a therapeutic relationship to date.
