The Francis Frith Collection is a unique, nationally important and world renowned photo archive that has been delighting the public since 1860. Over the last 44 years, millions of customers have purchased our products.

Family-owned and Run
Although we have several separate companies developing the Frith archive, we are and have been since 1860, a family-run business. We are small enough to care about every one of our customers, but experienced and professional enough run a very sophisticated business. Our workshops have been located in a Wiltshire village since 1998, and our prints and books are still produced there.

I expected a good resolution print for…
I expected a good resolution print for the high cost, it was very soft. glad I didnt get an even bigger print. Also, having paid for it I didnt expect to have the copyright stuff so visible on the front.
Later..... They replied that "the digital file we hold of that image the quality is very good"
Well that file must be soft, as the print is from that file, the image is 18x15, and on good quality paper so unlikely to be degraded.
I think their definition of "very good" is not the same as mine. The problem with buying unseen.

I am sorry that you are so disappointed but looking at the digital file we hold of that image the quality is very good. You purchased the smallest size print we offer which inevitably doesn't provide the greatest detail, especially on a subject like this where a cricket team is pictured from the boundary line. A larger print would enable you to see more detail if thats wha you ate looking for so we would be happy to supply a larger size print if you would pay the difference in price. As regards the copyright text, we have to include this on all the prints we sell for legal reason but since you ordered an unmounted print you are seeing an area that would normally be hidden under the mount margin. As regards the cost, again the small print offers the poorest value as the overhead costs associated with an historic archive are the same and the cost of making a Small print is much the same as making a Medium size, which is twice the size.

Fabulous prints.
I recently ordered two prints of Sutton Valence. As a family we spent our summer holidays every year travelling down from Glasgow for my mother to reunite with her family for a few weeks. The photo of Lower Road was absolutely fabulous as my Grandmother’s cottage was clearly visible in the photo. It was built in 1854 and I was born in 1954. The print brings back so many happy memories.

A beautiful gift.
I bought a tea towel of the Carpet Gardens, Eastbourne for a friend. The gardens no longer exist so it will be a treasured memory for her. The quality of the product is excellent and the service I received from Francis Firth, as always, was first class. A satisfied customer again.
