Disputed £72 cancellation fee
I made an enquiry with this company about a possible tax refund. I remember speaking with the company afterwards and telling them I was not interested in continuing with the service.
I have since received an invoice for £72 for a cancellation fee.
I have located a Letter of Authority dated December 2025, but I do not recognise the signature on it as mine and I don't remember knowingly agreeing to a contract involving a cancellation fee.
I have contacted the company formally to dispute the invoice and asked them to provide evidence of how and when I supposedly accepted the agreement, details of any work carried out on my behalf, and the basis for the £72 charge.
At the time of writing, I am still waiting for a response.
I am now seeking independent consumer advice to understand whether this charge is enforceable.
My advice to anyone considering using this company would be to read the terms very carefully and make sure you understand any potential cancellation fees before proceeding.

STAY AWAY. I innocently clicked a link on their Facebook page months ago to see if I was eligible for a tax refund and was later called to say I now had to pay a fee for signing up to their service, THIS IS NOT MENTIONED BEFORE YOU SIGN UP and I’ve not got solicitors phoning me for the money. I have contacted the police and will be contacting HMRC to take this further. By the looks of the other reviews these are stupid people who do nothing but scam. Go get a real job 🖕

I did not sign up to anything I just inquired about work uniform tax rebate. Now ive had three letters claiming I owe £288 i haven't received any services or given any details . Can someone please help with resolving this issue I live on a budget.

This company are an absolute nightmare bullying and heckling they are trying to bully me just now as it is impossible for me to get information required reading other review there definitely is a Stacey who works for them I have consulted a solicitor who has advised to wait for a court order to be served then we can take action against them bully tricks and heckling also contacted news paper about this firm avoid at all costs

This company is a scam they do not explain their terms and conditions clearly and after doing absolutely nothing they start billing you ridiculous amounts and threatening to take you to court i strongly do not recommend this joke of a company

I don't even remember signing up with this company and I have now had 2 emails from them saying that I have to pay them £72.00 because I haven't been in touch with them scary

I had put a bad review before because I thought I was going to get fined the same as everyone else.After seeing all the bad reviews.After a male member of staff had contacted me and he had said I had given the wrong information and I would get charged for this.I was really worried.
Luckily I decided to call Lynn Marshall today.Lynn had sent me a email to call her with Fredrick Edwards Associates Limited.
Lynn was very kind and explained the misunderstanding of my case and that everything was alright.She put my mind at ease.Lynn sorted everything and She closed my case as no win no fee.Thank you Lynn

One of the biggest con I ever been involved. I was unlucky to fight them in the court as I could not afford the solicitor and legal team national help line and citizens advise buerogh was useless. My case was muddled up because of them justice was in favor of con artist. I wish they rott in hell. Scaming people who just live in on budget to meet end with daily life cost.

No better than a scammer, absolute joke, should be ashamed to call them selves so called professionals, no doubt they will respond with the same response as the rest of the negative reviews " we have checked our data base and can't find you", infact not one positive review on here, conn artists God love the poor souls who do pay your outrageous demands for money

Absolute awful company took 6 months to sort my refund and all I got was £7 steer clear of these jokers

Unbelievable. This sham of a company have just sent me a invoice for £72.00. I enquired yes, but i didn't ask them to do anything. They took it on themselves to push forward. Did i contact them in the first place. No. I dont want a tax rebate. My accountant sorted me out when I retired. All they have done is text me. Ring me constantly and now this. Im a 71 yo pensioner, in ill health. They say if I don't pay they will charge me more. Im suicidal. Please help me.

My 78 year old grandmother who has vascular dementia received a cold call from you.
In doing so you claim that she agreed to something she is unable to do due to her disease.
You sent her numerous letters which we responded to and also sent you a letter from her GP explaining that she has no competency left to be able to agree to anything like this.
So as you’re morally corrupt amongst other things you have perused it.
Sent collecting agencies which have all dropped the collection due to the circumstances.

But that still hasn’t stopped you as you just contact another agency.

When will you stop going after and a 78 year old dementia sufferer who can’t remember family members or what day of the week it is let alone a random cold call.

She answered the phone because she still has a land line for her safety and people like you have taken advantage of her.

She has worked her whole life as a nurse paid whatever she needed to pay lived right committed no crime.

But YOU think that this is ok! I hope none of you or your family’s go through the difficulty that my grandmother and her family have to go through day by day and with this added on top.

The agent there called LYN is rude dismissive and patronising! They are untrustworthy, disrespectful and massively unprofessional.
They won’t listen and choose to respond to some emails and ignore others!!! Please avoid dealing with these at all costs!

A really terrible company.
They would promise to help you get tax refund, only to start hounding you if you are unable to provide some documents that you may no longer have. Then they start charging you, claiming you are not responsive or not cooperating. So much for No win, No fee.
They lie in the reviews that you’re mistaking them for another company. Do not mind them. IT IS A LIE!
Fredrick Edwards Associates and Fredrick Edwards are the SAME. RUN AWAY FROM THEM, THEY HAVE NO INTEGRITY!

This company are awful. I looked online to see if I could claim back for buying clothes what I needed for my job (uniform). I did not speak to ANYONE on the phone. My employer then advised us that they were supplying us with a uniform, and as id only bought one pair of trainers and a pair of trousers, I didnt proceed, plus I didn't have receipts. This company is now harassing me stating ive been fined £72 and if I dont pay, they will add further costs!! Its an absolute joke. Im now not working at all due to ill health. Ive contacted them by email numerous times as Financial Ombudsman advised me to ask for their Complaints procedure, no response back. They would never ever have received £72 from HMRC plus I told them, I owed HMRC £266 so why do I get fined when they would never have received a penny from HMRC? this company are scammers and just out to con money out of people. Im taking it further.

My Friend was taken to court by Fredrick Edwards and Moriarty Law, after she put her signature on her phone. THEY LOST and the Judge asked whether she wanted to put her costs against them.
Remember bailiffs, debt collectors cannot come knocking until there is a court judgement against you. We had letters from a company called The Judges Demand, PML, what a name..
the bill was coming to over £700. I think these types of companies prey on weak and vulnerable people.
She saw them in court and won. She even screened shot the Trust Pilot reviews as part of her defence. The gut feeling is Court Judges really do not like these types of companies. My friend represented herself, whilst they paid for solicitors... .. Advise .... be brave and dont be bullied.

I have not been updated on claims they made for me. Instead unrelated overpaid tax refund due to me has been sent to them by HMRC. They have fraudulently held on to the cheque instead of passing it on to me.

Absolutely ridiculous. Had numerous of calls from this Stacey harrssed each day been in hospital for operation and yet still phoned me whilst been in hospital repeating same thing over and over again. They need proof of income they have already charged me 102 pounds threatening me go to court then changed the amount what im getting con artist
