DO NOT TRUST THE QUOTES their platform gives you, they add on HUGE SURCHARGES as soon you have paid!!

I recently booked a shipment through their platform and explicitly selected the “liftgate required at delivery” option during checkout. Their system showed me lots of great quotes and allowed me to proceed and pay £4200 based on the services I required.

24 hours after accepting my payment the freight forwarder informed me that liftgate was not included in the quote and that I would need to pay an additional £1100 to proceed with delivery.

Freightos’ response? They acknowledged that the "I require a liftgate at delivery" option was correctly selected when I searched and paid for the service, but said it was effectively removed because I chose an FCL quote - without any clear warning of this at checkout.

So their position is: you can select a service, pay for it, and then be told it doesn’t apply after the fact — and that you should have spotted this buried in the quote breakdown.

That’s not user error. That’s price misrepresentation.

I now have a time-sensitive shipment delayed for over 2 weeks while their customer service team debate internally if they should acknowledge their systems fraudulent quoting system, and repeats the same scripted responses that offer no real solution beyond “pay more or cancel.”

Extremely suspicious and untrustworthy business practise.

Freightos can't be replaced as a valuable shipping resource. They can't stop all shipping company errors... but they do an awesome job hooking us up with freight forwarders. Absolutely excellent.

Booking the freight from China to U.S. was easy enough, but everything fell apart soon after. The customs broker they use (Clearit) could not get the POA due to zero access to a live human being. We had Clearit login problems which lasted more than 10 days. No humans available to resolve.

After we missed the original air freight schedule due to Clearit problems, the shipper (Shun) sent me a bill for additional 50%.

Instead of 10 days and $3,100, it took 26 days and $4,600.

No help from Freightos during this ordeal. They just skim off the top and drop you.

Easy to use, reliable, tracking advice in real-time is great and pricing is very competitive. Freightos have never let me down! So, thank you very much!

The company efficiently organises deliveries once I submit a request through their easy-to-follow online form. Their rates are competitive, and they are a reliable service provider.

Carrier charged us $150 more for the shipment due to a failed delivery attempt. Carrier did not respond in a timely manner and customer support was useless. Frequently the price quoted by Freightos is not accurate and you end up paying more. Need to be extremely cautious of which vendor you go with. ExFreight Zeta is cheaper when you book but they hit you with more fees in the end. Good when it works, but expect to be shafted eventually.

I had a really great experience overall. While there were minor fluctuations in some costs, the difference was not significant. It would be helpful to have more visualization of import rates and shipment details upfront. Otherwise, a very positive and effective service.

They made it seamless going into this without any knowledge of importing. I think a general estimate of import duties, taxes, fees, inspections and additional costs would have been helpful instead of being bombarded with thousands extra later on.
