The application experience was great, and it was easy to understand and apply.
However, I was disappointed that FF did not renew the original offer of £22,000 due to covid.
Despite repeated attempts explaining that I am a medical student with 100% employment prospects, my request to reinstate this amount of £22,000 was repeatedly denied. The only explanation was that previous levels of financing would "soon be reinstated"--but this has not happened, and no explanation has been forthcoming.
A timetable of when offers will get back to pre-covid levels would be very useful to help students like myself plan our finances.
It would also be useful if FF could make a greater effort to understand that courses like Medicine are expensive but with high employment prospects ( 100% ) the risk to lenders like FF is very low.
It seems like a win-win situation for both lender and borrower so would be nice if FF takes this into account instead of issuing blanket rejections?

Terrible. Great when you apply they can’t wait to give you money. Since I became disabled and vulnerable I’ve had no end of trouble with them. I can no longer communicate on the phone but regardless I receive two phone calls a day and I am making my payments! I don’t know why they are calling I have emailed to ask twice and no response other than we will not call you again... we know that’s not true.
This is bad enough but I have already had issues with this company regarding this exact issue previously where they have refused to communicate in writing which lead to problems which could have been avoided had they just followed the law and communicated how I require. I had to make an official complaint about this, received an apology that reassured me this will not happen again and retraining will take place. Yeah right!

Remember when you take out a loan with future finance that anything unforeseen could happen to make repayments difficult. Look at how the creditors treat those who are struggling, even if you think that could never be you, you don’t know.

EDIT: Future finance have been in touch with me and explained the calls were a software issue. They escalated the issue quickly following this review and it went through their complains procedure. I have received an apology and gesture of goodwill. I was asked to remove this review but I feel it is an accurate description of my experience with Future Finance as a whole.

Future Finance is very straightforward and easy to use. Customers services are easily contactable and explain the whole process very well. I would definitely recommend Future to anyone in my position needing help with Finance.

I have never come across such an incompetent and rude company. I am a Guarantor for a loan my step daughter took out when undertaking her Masters. They set up arrangements and then renege on them claiming to have no record of conversations until you provide the email chains proving that they are lying. Then they send aggressive, rude and inaccurate texts or emails which simply repeat the same statements you have just proved are false.

Basically, they behave like aggressive loan sharks who disregard agreements that they have put in place to harass and intimidate people. They prey mainly on poor students who have to make future financial commitments at the start of their courses without any certainty about future earnings. How they get such good reviews or haven’t been investigated by the FCA is beyond me as I have never been treated this badly by any other finance company. My advice is avoid like the plague.

I called up as I am applying for a mortgage and needed an up-to-date statement. There was no wait on hold and the member of staff was very helpful. I received the statement via email seconds later.

Got accepted easily. Minimum monthly direct debit of £5/m for 21 months, which is plenty of time to get my courses done. Stretches to just under £100 after that but by then I should be on better money once I’m qualified so I can pay off early to save interest. Highly recommend.

For study you need to pay more than double for a time period. Hope it helps.....

Future Finance have been fantastic on all levels! Without Future Finance I wouldn’t have been able to do fund my tuition for the Legal Practice Course. The customer service is really great and everyone is really friendly. I would 100% recommend them to anyone.

After a confusing start to the process of getting my student loan for my IT course and speaking to their excellent customer service, the overall experience was excellent and I would definitely recommend Future Finance as a finance provider.

Be sure to exhaust all of your funding options at university before you apply. I was unable to pay after I lost my job, it took a year to resolve this and has tanked my credit score. If you owe any money you will be declined a payment freeze, which makes it even harder to pay off.

Thankfully they deducted the unpaid interest/fees from my loan after providing a note from my psychiatrist. Avoid if you can.

Quick and efficient in helping me secure a loan for funding my University degree. Great customer service!

I took out a £1000 loan with Future Finance in early 2017 when I was doing an exchange trip abroad and my university back in the UK messed up my finances. Without the loan I would literally have been left homeless in another country.

I found the repayments to be fair and manageable, and whilst the website could be a little more functional (eg. it would be nice to be able to just log on and view how much you have left to pay off/make extra payments instead of having to email and be sent a link), I've always found customer service to be quick and helpful. I was able to get a payment freeze during the first lockdown, and every time I've spoken to customer service reps - both through email and through the phone - they've been nothing but pleasant.

I do wish they still allowed students to borrow smaller amounts of money than they currently offer - £1000 suited me just right when I needed it, but I don't think I would've been able to justify taking out £2000 in debt.

Here you go Future Finance. This is for all the hassle you caused me during the first lockdown.

I have just had a phone call with a member of future finance's team (Eve), and would like to praise her and future finance for their customer support.

The call was just to confirm that my loan application had been approved, as the email address I had entered was incorrect. Eve highlighted the main points of the contract, mentioning that although I have 11 years to repay my loan, that I should consider repaying the loan early to prevent high compounding interest payments.

She even recommended that I could explore cheaper alternative finance first, such as a postgraduate loan from Student Finance England (a loan which I have already taken out). I do not believe future finance have any legal obligation to direct their potential customers to alternative finance, and was very impressed by this customer satisfaction over profits mentality (which is rare to come by today).

I was hesitant when taking out this loan given there were some negative reviews. I can of course only talk about my own experience so far, but I would strongly recommend future finance as a finance provider.

I was happy with the quick response that I received from the Future Finance team as it was very easy to complete and register. It was all wrapped up in a matter of minutes. I would recommend this service for anyone looking for a loan.

The process was easy to understand and the staff very helpful. The selfie upload was a bit trickly, might help to have a few extra directions to make it easier.
