I’ve recently used this company for a Power of Attorney & was so impressed with them, especially the service I received from Matt.
I’ve probably been the customer from hell & had to come back to have it amended, my fault., Matt was so quick & efficient yet again & so patient & kind.
He’s helped me sort it so quickly, so I can sell my property.
They really have gone above & beyond for me, I’m so glad that I found them & would highly recommend them to anyone.

I used GB Abogados because they have an office in London as well as in Alicante and not being a Spanish speaker, I needed someone who could complete probate following the passing of my mother. Lisa Wantz was easy to deal with, great communication and a highly effective lawyer. She made the process easy for me, so much so that I reengaged when I decided to dispose of the property I had inherited. I would not hesitate to recommend Lisa and her team.

GB Abogados helped us successfully in a speedy way by creating a NIE in no time and by then assisting us with subsequent follow ups. I would highly recommend their services.

Another in the long line of Spanish based legal representation companies that will promise the world, and deliver absolutely nothing.
They play on the fact they spend money on ensuring their website is highly ranked and that they claim to speak English, and can navigate clients through the Spanish legal system.
I am sure they could, if they actually did anything. Good luck getting any reply to phone calls or emails.

A special mention for Dulce Illescas , who ended up being not quite so sweet as her name suggests.

Use a law firm/ company that someone trusted by you has used, not one who employs some English speakers.

If you want someone to represent you, do not hire these people. These people do not work in your best interests, completely unprofessional, especially Dulce and Monica. We terminated their services as they had not done as instructed, when we made phonecalls and an email to enquire about the money we were owed, we recieved an email, with an email thread attached between Monica and Dulce, talking about their own clients (us) making derogetory comments, biased opinions, furthermore and i quote "just tell them you've done the sums and they owe us money". I made an official complaint, which to this day has had no response. We have evidence of everything typed in this review.

Avoid like the plague, completely incompetent and unprofessional behaviour.

I was unsure of how to proceed with a matter in Spain and searched the internet for some point to anchor my investigations and came across Gascon Bernabeu Abogados in London. Matt Rogerson responded directly and was able to give me all of the necessary details of the way forward and was perfectly reassuring throughout. He dealt with all of my questions thoroughly and speedily, organizing notaries outside London near me and continuing with the whole process to completion! I consider myself very lucky to have found Matt Rogerson of Gascón Bernabéu Abogados in Alicante. He advised and helped me to write a will for my Spanish assets. He found a Notary locally to my home and he is now in the process registering it in Madrid. All this without me having to leave my home in Milton Keynes in England. GBA managed to achieve Spanish probate for my late wife’s estate when other solicitors threw obstacles in my way. As part of the probate there was an insurance claim which was refused, GBA fought this through the courts and won the case. It took time/years (but this often the case in Spain & there was Covid). I am very pleased with the support from Mónica, the outcome and to have finally settled my affairs.
