Full credit to them for providing a friendly and excellent service all round . A pleasure to contact and they provide a personal customised service ,unlike many modern businesses these days. Everything happened on time as they said. They deserve custom. I cannot sing their praises enough as mine was not totally straight forward.

I had 5 vhs tapes that are dear to me and my family and seeing the white mould on the tape I honestly thought they were only fit for the bin. But I decided to research how to salvage and hopefully digitise them so we as a family can enjoy them for many years to come.

Not only had they cleaned and removed the mould from the tapes, they digitised them to a usb drive and ready to play DVDs.

I highly recommend using GHS Media to save your precious memories and restore them to new media.

George and the team have produced some more films for me from very old and badly stored originals. Communication is good and professionally managed. The prices seem reasonable given the difficulties involved. Dealing with them is always a pleasure and the quality of the results is excellent.

This company well deserves 5 stars. I am useless with modern technology and the alternatives were explained clearly and patiently. The decision I made (the cine films on very old cassette tapes to be converted to USB) was dealt with extremely quickly and efficiently and I and the family were delighted with the results and we would recommend G.H.S media unreservedly. Great communication. I had sent undeveloped disc film which in fact they could not scan. George was quick to let me know this by phone call and then supplied me with two places where I could still get the film developed. V helpful. Film was returned promptly.

They transferred my MiniDV cassettes into .mp4 files and provided a download link. They did this quickly and efficiently. Very happy.

Additionally, most of the tapes had a note on them that my parents used to keep track of what was on them. GHS named the .mp4 files based on the notes, even though they were in a foreign language and written quite illegibly.

Excellent service and communication, highly recommended

I sent 5 Mini DV tapes from about 10 years ago to G.H.S Media to be converted to digital files. The price was excellent — around a quarter of what Max Spielmann quoted me.

There was a small issue at first, but communication was really quick after I got in touch. George rang me the next day, explained everything clearly, and had it all sorted and uploaded the same day.

I’d definitely use them again — great service, fast response, and fantastic value for money.

This was the first time I have dealt with GHS Media (also trading as Video to DVD Scotland) transferring audio cassette tracks to CD. Their service has been first class, replying to my emails by return, keeping me fully up to date as how things were progressing, and fast and efficient attention to the job itself. Their charges are very reasonable, and I received the goods back more quickly than I had expected. The sound quality on the CD is excellent. I would highly recommend this company and will definitely be using them again.

GHS Media provides an excellent service. They get old Hi8 tapes transferred to a digital format. I can now watch old videos of my family on PC. They can transfer the videos on tapes to a high resolution format for future editing. They get job done and return the tapes within two weeks.
